Can't create Exchange users in a new child domain

Hi,
i have an Exchange 2010 SP3 ( 1 CAS/Hub + 1 mailbox) server running in a parent domain. Few days ago i've created a new child domain, but i can't create mailbox for users coming from this new child domain.
The error message says that i don't have enough rights to do this operation (can't copy the error, translation from frecnh will be a disaster :p )

I'm doing this with my parent domain administrator.
I've read that the exchange infra had to be prepared for all domains with command
setup.com /PrepareAllDomains
is it possible with an existing exchange?

Yes, you need to prepare any domain that will have mail-enabled accounts in it.
You can run this for a specific domain:
setup /PrepareDomain:<FQDN of domain you want to prepare> to prepare a specific domain.
Its safe to run this in an existing Exchange org.

You can prefer anyone of the domain controller in the child domain for preparing the domain .

So when she logs in, and sync's her ipads, they will sync with her stuff and when I do the same under my user account, on the same device, my ipads will sync with my stuff?

You can share the same Apple ID for purchasng form the iTunes and app stores without any problems, but you should all used separate iCloud accounts with separate Apple IDs. (You are not required to use the same ID for iCloud and other services as you do for the iTunes store.) This will prevent you from ending up with merged data. You should also use separate Apple IDs for iMessage and FaceTime or you will end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.

Error in installing BAM, can not create orabam user

i can login into my database as sysdba also
but when screen goes to create ORABAM USER it gives me the error cannot create the user

that did use to be the case but ios 8 you can create a child's Apple ID which will stay linked to the main Apple ID until they are 13 when they can if you wish take over the Apple ID themselves.
I Have the same question regarding creating an Apple ID for my son but it insists I have to add a credit card to prove I'm an adult.
thing is I don't have another card to add to my Apple ID I have been using the same card for all my family's Apple purchases i just update my details when I get issued a new one.
Any ideas or suggestions greatly accepted.

I am using a bat script assigned on the user Logon, this script will send you a notification each time user login
User Configuration --> Windows Settings --> Scripts (Logon/Logoff)

Enable new Child Domain in Lync Server 2013

We are running Lync server 2013 in the Root Domain test.local. There are number of child domain enabled for Lync service . Eg: abc.test.local , xyz.test.local etc. Now i have a requirement to create new child domain and enable it for lync service.
So i created a new child domain (site1.test.local), then from lync shell i run below command to enable it.
Enable-CsAdDomain
–Domain site1.test.local –report c:\users\lyncadmin\Report1.html
Then i add the new SIP domain in topology builder in SIP doamin and
Simple URLs and publish the topology.
On AD all users are created in OU so i run below command to give privileges on OU:
Grant-CsOUPermission -Domain site1.test.local -ObjectType "User" -OU "OU=SITEUsers,DC=Site1,DC=TEST,DC=LOCAL"
After all the step , when i try to login the new users, Users are not logging , in Lync client logs it is giving below error:
4005;reason="Destination URI either not enabled for SIP or does not exist";source="LYNCFE13-02.TEST.LOCAL"
Please help to solve this issue .

I can see my child domain accounts in Lync control panel (enable user section) and all accounts are enabled. If i run below command then it show result = failure. But my others account are working.

Not sure if the office 365 will allow another installation into the second account, otherwise would just do that and delete the first, if that is possible?

There is no merge but you can move data from one account to another via the Shared folder. Data is copied from Shared. Watch your free space when copying. These are large files. Do one at a time if you are on a small drive. After making copy, delete from other users before you start next copy.
Office365 installs in the main Applications folder and is available for all users on the computer. Activation is tied to the drive not the User.

Can't create mailbox & user in a specified domain

I can't select the domain I want when I create a mailbox for a new user in Exchange 2013 EAC.
I have a single forest with 1 root domain : toto.local, and 2 child domains infra.toto.local, ressources.toto.local. Exchange server is in ressources.toto.local with all my servers ans all my users are under infra.toto.local. There is a two-way and transitive
trust between (infra.toto.local and toto.local) and between (ressources.toto.local and toto.local)
Before installation of echange I do a setup /PrepareAllDomains
When I want to create a mailbox for a new user, the only choice I have for the user session name domain is toto.local.
Do I missed or misunderstood something ?

I have defined 2 accepted domains : infra.toto.local (Authoritative) and
toto.com, my external domain name (Authoritative and default).
I created 2 email address policies : One for
toto.com ([email protected]) priority 1 for all recipients and the other one for
infra.toto.local ([email protected]) priority 2 for all recipients.
But even now, when I want to create a new mailbox user from exchange eac, the only domain suffix I can choose for logon is
toto.local. I had to go to AD Users & Computers to change user session name to
infra.toto.local

Can I create a User with Root Privileges but without UID Zero?

Dear all,
I'm working on this project and this is the task required: Create a user and let this user perform all that the ROOT user can perform but shouldn't have UID 0. I'm sincerely new to this task but I challenged myself and made so many search on Google and this is what I was able to do.
1. I created a user --- testuser1
2. I created a role --- advrole
3. I added the Solaris predefined profile -- Primary Administrator Profile to the role advrole and added this role to the user testuser1.
4. I logged out from root and login with the newly created user i.e. testuser1.
5. I ran the command id and the user - testuser1 still has its UID defined by me when I was creating the user account (which is good as far as my task is concern).
6. In order to perform ROOT tasks when logged in with testuser1, I use su - advrole.
7. I can now do all that ROOT can do but whenever I run the id command, the advrole shows UID 0 (WHICH IS BAD FOR ME AS PER MY TASK).
My question is, I need to tell the customer that what they actually want isn't feasible in Solaris and the above is closer to what they want but I need to be sure if it's feasible or not before telling my customer?
Can anyone tell me if it's feasible and if so, how can it be done? Or if the way I did it is the only way, kindly let me know as well so that I can get back to them with a valid and concrete explanation.
P. S. The customer requires this because when doing auditing, their auditing software tracks users based on UID so therefore if every user will login and su - root, all will appear as done by the ROOT user because of the UID and a particular will not be held responsible.

If you use auditreduce and praudit, you can get the information you need. It will show, as in my example below, that I logged in via SSH, and then switched to root after logging in. This information can be easily scripted and I do so every day in my daily report so I can see who logged in and who switched to root.

How can I create a user with rights to install packages on a publish instance?

I am trying to create a user with the rights to upload and install content packages on a CQ publish instance and I do not wish to use the admin user. Simply adding a new user to the administrators group does not seem to be enough.
I tried adding a rep:GrantACE node through crx de/explorer but it reported the node as locked. I was able to upload a content package that removed the rep:DenyACE jcr:read for everyone, but this is not safe it seems.
Is there some special privilege that I need to add to my user/group that will allow them to access the /etc/packages tree or do I just need to add some permission somewhere within the tree.

With some help from David Collie, Alex Klimetschek & Jörg Hoh I have a better idea of what is going on and we've found a solution.
It seems that the admin account always works in these scenarios as it has special privileges in the CRX security system; admin can do anything it likes.
Instead of creating the rep:GrantACE nodes directly, I was able to add a new ACL entry for the administrators group to /etc/packages via the Access Control Editor (http://localhost:4502/crx/explorer/ui/aceditor.jsp?ck=1373027669916&Name=acEditor&Path=%2F etc%2Fpackages&_charset_=utf-8).
Strangely, the administrators account already had some inherited rights on this directory that were overridden by the deny|everyone|jcr:read ACL entry on /etc/packages node. Adding allow:administrators|jcr:read gives any member of that group access to read and write to the /etc/packages. directory.
Now that I have setup this user we can setup a deploy step in out CI build that does not rely on using the admin account.

In OIM access rights are not at user level. Instead they are at group level. xelsysadm is a special predefined user that belongs to SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS group and hence he has access to everything. Similarly any user you create and make a member of SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS group will have all access same as xelsysadm
