Can't create Informatica repository in Linux- no log file info either

We are installing OBIEE in Red Hat Linux.
When installing INformatica Server we are hitting a wall:

  • Can we create one repository from different data Source

    Hi Experts
    I have one doubt
    1. Can we create one repository in OBIEE from different source like..
    I have three Database(Oracle) and i want to create one single repository from different source.
    2. If my Database are different like(Oracle,DB2,Teradata..)
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Frnds

    Hi..
    Yes It's possible to create a repository from different datasources, provided there should be different DSN for each...
    If it's ORACLE, we can import objects from OCI directly.. by mentioning the TNS Name, without creating DSN

    There is no such thing as "sub-accounts".
    Multiple Apple ID's can be used on a single device.
    Created unique Apple ID's for each user and use those Apple ID's on the appropriate devices from iCloud and iMessage.  This will not affect the media on the device.

  • Can anybody explain the difference REDOLG vs ARCHIVE log files

    can anybody explain the difference REDOLG vs ARCHIVE log files?
    and the relation between redolog files and redolog buffers?
    thanx in advance

    Changes made to the database are recorded in the Redo log buffer. This Buffer contains Redo records or entries, which are a description of changes made to the database.
    The Redo Logs are critical in order to recover the database or to reconstruct data files and undo segments after a system crash or hardware failure.
    Each Oracle instance has only one log writer process (LGWR). The log writer operates in the background and writes all records from the Redo log buffer to the Redo log files. When the database operates in Archivelog mode, the redo logs are are archived before overwritten.

  • Error while creating Informatica Repository Service

    I am installing OBIApps - Have done it previously so I know it is a complex installation.
    This time my server is a Linux RH 64bit... Informatica server installed ok. Using the administrator panel, I am now trying to create the repository service.
    I am getting error: Database driver event…Error occurred loading library [libclntsh.so.10.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32] Database driver event…Error occurred loading library [libpmora8.so]
    I know the infra structure guys installed Oracle client 32bit... Maybe this is the trouble ?
    I have LD_LIBRARY_PATH blank... if I point the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the oracle client bin... it seems that informatica startup has trouble since administrator panel doesn´t start. went back to LD_LIBRARY_PATH blank and startup is ok and administrator is ok... but error in creating repository service persists...
    I appreciate any hints.
    Txs.
    Antonio

    Try with by execute relink all libraries:
    $relink all
    or else go with 64bit

  • I can't create a new tag while saving a file in Yosemite.

    The title pretty much says it all :-) As I try to type in a new tag while saving a file, the curser just blinks, and doesn't respond.  I can't create a new tag. I can click on existing tags, and they get added to the file, but the support page on tags says:
    To add a tag:
    Click on a recent tag that appears in the menu to link it your document. You can even add multiple tags.
    Click “Show All…” to see the all of the tags you have created. Then, click on a tag to add it.
    You can also add tag by typing. As you type in the Tags field, you’ll see matching suggestions from your existing tags.
    To add a new tag, just type it in the field.
    New tags you create automatically appear in other locations where tags are visible, such as in the Finder sidebar.
    The fourth bullet is the one I'm referring to. I think this might be a bug, but I can't find a way to report it. If it's not a bug, I would really appreciate some guidance.

  • Can I create folders in iPad 3 for organizing files

    Can I create folder in iPad 3 so that my word, excel, powerpoint, txt, pdf and other files can saved there?

    I work with lots of attachments in Emails. These are the regular Word, Excel, PDF and less often JPG, web pages, txt files. I organize all of them in one place in my networked computer at work.
    Best solution for me is to download or save attachments and any other on the "desktop" or in a folder and then sync it to work computer periodically through iTunes or Dropbox.
    Right now, each attachment file can be saved into its app only (such as Pages, Numbers, iAnnotate, iBooks, Photos etc. Dropbox does not show up with every file type. I also cannot "print" files as PDF even though I have PDF PROvider and can buy another app if it would show up as a "printer". This limits my functionality greatly.
    Thank you,

  • Can we create entity object based on a text file on the OS?

    I understand you can interface with files using webDAV. Can we just create a entity object with source to a text/xml file on the OS instead of a table?

    Have a look at the URL data source (under new->business tier->web services) - it allows you to create a data control based on an XML or csv file.
    http://technology.amis.nl/blog/?p=1592
    You can also create a data control based on a Java class that interact with a file.

  • How can I create a Document object from a text file (myFile.txt)

    Hi everybody:
    Thank you for reading this message.
    I am trying to find a method to convert a text file ( I have it in a File object) to a Document object.
    I read the Java API but it is strange, I do not know if I have to create an AbstractDocument, it is really strange for me.
    Any comment is welcome,
    Regards,
    JB

    Document is an interface, and AbstractDocument is abstract, so you
    can't create either of those directly. Assuming you are dealing with a
    a plain text file, you could do something like
    // Not catching any exceptions that get thrown
    File file = /* file you already have */
    String eol = System.getProperty( "line.separator" );
    int eolLen = eol.length();
    FileReader reader = new FileReader( file );
    BufferedReader buffer = new BufferedReader( reader );
    PlainDocument doc = new PlainDocument();
    for ( String line = buffer.readLine() ; line != null ; line = buffer.readLine() ) {
        int len = doc.getLength();
        if ( len > 0 ) {
            doc.insertString( len, eol, null );
            len += eolLen;
        doc.insertString( len, line, null );
    }and now you have a document.

  • Can I supress error messages generated by the Directory / File Info VI

    I use the Directory / File Info to determine if a file exists.  If the file size returns a zero I create the file and write the header.  This ran fine in LabView Ver 6.1.  In Ver 7.1 It returns a LabView general error message (File Not found).  Everything else works fine except the error message confuses our operators.  Does anybody have a different way to determine if a file exists within LabView that will not generate an error?

    agood wrote:

    OK, this is incorrect, because a file can exist and be of size zero at the same time! As mentioned above, you should use the error output. If there is no error, the file exists. If there is an error, the File/folder does not exist.

  • Where can I find an explanation of Processes and Log files for LMS 3.2?

    Being fairly new to Ciscoworks, I've been scouting for documentation that explains the processes as enumerated by the "pdshow" command. Also, when there are problems, I find myself hunting through the log files without a clear understanding of which log file most likely contains the data I need for troubleshooting purposes.
    Is there a document, preferably in table format, that has at least a brief explanation of each of these items? I can probably eventually glean this information from reading all of the documentation, but that would be a lengthy task.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi John,
    Kindly refer to below doc by Joseph Clarke which have detailed explanation for all the daemons of CiscoWorks .

  • Can't create a repository with a local physical disk

    Hi,
    I'm using Oracle VM Manager 3.0.3.
    I created a non clustered server pool with one server. That server has 2 identical SATA 500GB internal drives and 1 eSATA 750GB drive in AHCI mode. The 750G eSATA drive is the primary boot drive and hosts the MBR with Windows 7. One of the 500GB SATA internal drive hosts Oracle VM Server. The other 500GB SATA drive has no partition and I want to use it as a local OVM repository. When I boot the server I can select to boot Windows 7 or Oracle VM Server with no issue.
    After the OVM server boots, OVM Manager 3.0.3 can discover it along with 2 physical disks: the 500GB SATA internal drive (SATA_WDC_WD5000BEKT-_WD-WX41A11X1750) I want to use as a repository and the eSATA 750GB drive. OVM Manager reports these physical disks as SAN type with no file system.
    When I create my local repository for the server pool, I select the physical disk SATA_WDC_WD5000BEKT-_WD-WX41A11X1750 and click the "Next" button. But the job always fails with the following details:

    I don't understand why I always get the error message 'An ocfs2 filesystem already exists on /dev/mapper/SATA_WDC_WD5000BEKT-_WD-WX41A11X1750' since that disk is blank with no partition.
    Please help me.
    Daniel.
