Can't create labels w/ graphics in MS WORD MAC 2008

Hello!
I am using MS Word for MAC - version 2008 and can't for the life of me create a page of labels with a graphic.
The old 2004 version worked beautifully. I could pull up a blank template (ex. 5160), group the graphic and text box in one cell, then select "Tools -> Labels" and that would create an entire page of that design. I got the 08 version, and now I can't do a thing. That process just gets me another blank template.
Not sure how many people use word for this kinda thing... but ANY HELP would be GREATLY appreciated! Even if it means using another program.

How can i create multiple apple ids from the same mac

There seems to be a limit on how many apple ids can be created from the same cpu. Trying to create 100 apple ids for a client to use on ipads distributed to employees i found i could only create three or four before i got the message account cannot be created, contact itunes support. Had the same problem creating multiple itunes accounts through the App Store.

I found this discussion because I need to create dozens of Apple IDs for the faculty and staff of the school for which I'm the IT Director.
This is weak.
Apple, PLEASE upgrade the Apple ID system so it represents the current needs and paradigm.
What am I thinking, Apple (like Google) don't follow user discussion forums, except by accident when an employee sees something and is motivated enough to carry the water for users in need.

Can we create Multi Tabbed excel Sheet using Crystal Reports 2008

We want to create a Crystal Report which will export the output as multiple Tab's ( we can use sub reports). Can we create a Multi Tabbed excel Sheet using Crystal Reports 2008 ( not Crystal reports Basic 2008). Please share any information/links on how to do that.
Also if it is not supported please let us know which version supports it.

At least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Desktop Scheduling tools listed at: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides that functionality. It allows you to burst a single report so that each Group at level 1 becomes a separate tab. You can control the tab names (and tab colors) via fields/formulas inside the report.
You can also automate the process of exporting to (and also replacing or appending to) specified tabs inside existing workbooks.

MS Word Mac 2008 - How can I read a document written in a Foreign alphabet?

I have a document written in Thai language that can't be read. Just a bunch of question marks pop up in place of the Thai letters that should be there.
I have Thai fonts in my Mac in the Font Book, but they are not included in the MS Word fonts. I even tried to move the Thai fonts from the Font Book over to the "Windows Office Compatible" folder (and I did), but they still do not show up in MS Word fonts.
Is there any way to get foreign alphabets to show up in my MS documents? Thanks!!!!

How can I create labels in Pages?

I dowloaded a template from Avery for return address labels, which supposedly could be used for Macs. Although the labels were the right size, .5" by .75", and the columns and rows looked like they were the right size, the text printed outside of the labels. I also tried to manually create template for labels by creating a table in pages but that did not work either. Any ideas?

The Avery label software, if available for your OS X version, may be a good idea.
Theirs had been suggested over the past several years in these discussions.
As far as Pages go, I've never used it though I have it. And also a good manual.
But there are several versions of Pages, too, and so some aspects of that were
changed over the range of OS X systems each was intended to work with.
Apple support has this section specific to Pages. There may be certain parts
of the information pertaining to older versions of that software suite...
You could try making address labels from Address Book in the OS X,
if you've used it and have a library of saved ones in there already.

If you had a later version OS X, other options may appear in the App store for sale.
On the topic of update, if your OS X is not already at 10.6.8, you could update it.
Depending on the hardware version specification of the Mac, it may be able to be
upgraded to a later full system. In older Intel-based Macs, Snow Leopard is good.
Or, if your computer is a pre-Intel build architecture, (PowerPC) then it would not
be able to upgrade past Leopard 10.5.8.

Consider the following:
if you use your local CA server to issue digital signature certificates, there is no cost, because you are eligible to issue so many certificates as you need. However, documents signed by these certificates will be considered trusted only within your AD
forest and other machines that explicitly trust your local CA. Any external client will not trust your signatures.
If you want to make your signature trusted outside your network (say, in worldwide), you need to pruchase a certificate from trusted commercial CA (VeriSign, GoDaddy, GlobalSign, StartCom, etc) according to respective vendor price list. In that case you
don't need to have your local CA server, because it is not used. All certificate management is performed by the external CA. A most common scenario is to purchase signing certificate for particular departament principals (head managers) or few certificates
for a whole company (all documents are revised by a responsible person or persons who holds signing certificate and sign them after review).

Apart from that, on all portable Macs, Mac minis and old iMacs (Early 2009 and older ones), the graphic card is soldered onto the logic board, so it can't be replaced without having to replace the logic board

Accounts are normally not email software dependent unless configured to save locally on your computer. If you have a pst file on your PC that is large, you will need to import that. POP accounts are usually locally stored. Otherwise, many server accounts are typically IMAP, or Exchange. So go back to your PCs email software and determine what it is. If it is Outlook for Mac which is the only Outlook you have be clear how it is setup.

I can't create pdf/x-1a from my word doc with acrobat x?

I just bought acrobat x to convert a book to pdf from Word and I can't get it to print. All my setting work until I select pdf/x-1a(acrobat 5 compatable). I previously was using a trial version of acrobat XI and I could swear that the conversion was just fine with XI. Maybe I'm not remembering right. I have adobe reader 9, but I don't think this is relevant?
Is the asnwer simply that pdf/x-1a cannot be converted fom word?

Whenever I select Word Microsoft Setup Assistant appears, asks for feedback, then after selecting okay (both on saying yes or no to feedback) goes on to a registration page. When I click on this it says I've already registered so I just click okay, and then move on to a update page. After this, if I click on Word, the process repeats itself.
As I said, I don't have the disk to reinstall, and can't find the Office Settings to delete as many pages have suggested I should try. Safe Boot restarting also hasn't worked... Really stuck and need Word very soon for work.
If you can help, that would be great, and feel free to ask any questions about the situation as I'm not an expert here.

First, export your contact from iCloud.com and save them on your computer in a safe spot some where (like you desktop). Use this to help you do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606
Next, on both of your devices, go to Settings > iCloud and turn on contacts and select Merge. Then turn off contacts and select 'Delete form my [device]' when prompted.
Now go back to iCloud.com and select a contact (yes they will all be messed up again) and select Command+A on a Mac or Control+A on a PC to select all of the contacts. Tap the delete key on your keyboard (or right click /control click a contact and select delete).
You iPhone, iPad and iCloud.com should not be empty for contacts.
Go back to Settings > iCloud on both devices and turn on contacts again (you should not see merge this time).
Next, go back to iCloud.com and import your contacts (those exported .vcards). You can either drag and drop them into the empty contacts list in your web browser, or you can use the gear icon to import.
You cleaned up contacts should import correctly into iCloud.com and sync to both of your devices.

I want to send Christmas cards to my friends in Address Book. But when I print the address labels up, I want something to appear other than the standard "firstname lastname" on the top line of the label.
Can I create a custom field, like a salutation field, so that when that particular label is printed, instead of showing "Rob Smith" on the first line it would show:
"Rob & Julie Smith"
Does this make sense?
