CAN'T create or RECOVER Apple ID:

I tried making a new one with my new e-mail, but I couldn't because it said tehre's already one Apple ID associated with that e-mail, so I tried to recover the password by e-mail, but I don't receive the e-mail. I need help.

Were you able to resolve this? I'm trying to create a new Apple ID using a Gmail address. That Gmail address was used as an alternate on another Apple ID but I've deleted it from that account (so I wouldn't get the "this email address is already associated with another..." message). But the Gmail address is still tied up somewhere and I'm unable to use it to set up a new Apple ID.
None of the password reset options work. My problem could have more to do with the fact that the address was never used as an actual Apple ID, but as an alternate email address on a different ID.

  • Can I create a new apple account for a product that is already associated with an existing account?

I have had an apple id account for a few years that is shared by myself and my family. It includes 3 ipod touches, 1 ipod nano, and 1 ipad. All of the devices are synced to each other and settings keep getting changed around between them, which is becoming an annoyance. I would like to create 2 separate apple id accounts, and keep my existing one, is this possible? Will I and my family be able to sync the devices to new accounts without having to reset each product? any advice and/or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

Couldn't agree more... the folks who are getting penalized for this are the early adopters of .Mac/iCloud dating from the days when the only way to implement a "family" account was to use aliases. Now all my kids' / my wife's name aliases sit in my account, unable to move. I guess the good news is that if I delete them nobody else will get them, but this seems a pretty poor consolation.
Would it really be so difficult to implement a "move this alias to another iCloud account" option that requires the "sender" and "receiver" to exchange some sort of code to implement the transation in order to prevent fraud?

  • Can we create an overarching Apple ID for discovery/managing/playing content for our pre-K kid?

I own several for work—and personal Apple devices and have been using one Apple ID to discover, manage and play content. This content consists of items that are (1) work based (2) personal based (3) family/child based (e.g. Monsters Ink).
I purchased an iPad Mini for my husband at Christmas, and he purchased an Apple TV for the family— and now we are perplexed at how to manage assets that are "family" based without purchasing them twice. Essentially want apps, movies and music related to our pre-K son on both of our devices. Otherwise managing this will quickly become a nightmare of who owns what on which decive.
Can anyone recommend how to do this?

An iDevce can containt content for multiple Apple ID's, there is no reason to purchase content multiple times.
There is no such thing as "sub" accounts.
Simply manage the content on the devices.

  • Hi i do not have a job or bank account. i am a student. how can i create a free apple account. without giving a credit or debit card number.

how do i create a free apple account without giving a credit card number.because i am still in school.

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
The link that rmgman gave has instructions for how to create an account without giving credit card details - if you use them when creating an account then you will be able to download items from the store without having to give card details.

  • I can't create or recover an Apple ID.

I'm at a loss. I need to make a corporate purchase from Apples website, using a corporate AmEx. As it is a corporate purchase, I need to make the purchase with my company email, not my personal email. This is a no limit AmEx, and I would be in big trouble if it were attached to my personal email account.
Should be simple to create an Apple ID with my second email address.
If I search for the Apple ID, it says it doesn't exists.
When I try to create it, it says it already exists.
When I try to recover the password, it says it emails me, but doesn't.
If I enter my birthday, it says it is the wrong day.
So, I have spent a couple hours on the phone with support. Several people all say they can't do anything. I have to use the web recovery thing.
So I email [email protected], and get a bounce that they don't offer email support and to call them? Huh? A computer company doesn't offer email support?
I'm at a loss what to do. I must use my company email, and as the domain admin I know that no one else has ever had my email address. And I wish to spend several thousand dollars now, and perhaps $100k over a few years. (my predecessor spent that much)  But Apple seems to be making that very hard.

If you only want the free iPhone/iPod apps, take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
    Regards.

  • How can I create a second apple id (without credit card) for my daughter and share it on the same environment?

Hello, I found some suggestions regarding how to create an account without credit card details for a child, but I'm not shore if it would work harmlessly.
The following points describe my situation:
I access the iTunes store from my MacBook Pro, while my 15 year old daughter will access iTunes from her iPad.
Every time she needs a free download I have to enter my Apple ID in through her iPad.
When it comes to purchase an app or music for her iPad I do it from my mac and then synchronize with her iPad.
This is what I’m looking for:
I would like her to have her personal apple ID that don’t require a credit card so she would be able to log and download the free apps and updates
I also would like to purchase her software by using my Apple ID linked to my credit card
I wouldn’t want her to lose the software and on her iPad once logged with a different Apple ID
Last, I would appreciate to not see the apps downloaded on her iPad appearing on my iPhone: is there a way to have a selective destination for downloaded apps?
    Thank you in advance

You can create a new account without giving credit card details by following the instructions on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
And she can then use that account for free items. If she redownloads an item on her iPad (and similarly on your Mac) from an account (either your existing account or a new one) then she may tie the iPad to that account for 90 days (so she won't be able to redownload items from the other account until those 90 days have completed) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Also all content is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only your account will be able to download updates to the apps that were bought/downloaded by your account.
The apps will only automatically download on your phone if you have automatic downloads turned on in Settings > iTunes & App Store on it.

  • Can i create a new apple ID, and still have access to the purchases i made on the old one?

I recently updated my apple ID email address, and Password to my current (newer) address. upon doing so iCloud went completely crazy, changed the timing zones on my calendars, and removed or changed data on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
i have tried, in vein, to get a verification email sent to me from apple so i can get my iCloud account working again, however no such email has arrived.
soon i will be taking my Mac to an Apple store to get the Harddrive wiped clean, as Mountain Lion has well and truly messed it up. what i am wondering is, if i where to create an entirely new apple ID, and start from scratch would i still have access to the apps and song purchases i made on the on the old account?

Well yes, but if you want to update those apps, you'd need to sign in under your old Apple ID to update them. It's really best to just stick to one Apple ID, or you'll run into association complications down the road.

  • Can you create playlists from Apple TV?

Does apple TV allow you to create a playlist? I'm thinking similar function to how on the go works on the ipod.

Unless there's a way that I can't find in the manual or tech notes (I do not yet have my Apple TV), then that's correct, you can't. If I am right, then perhaps we'll see such things in a future version; remember that this is just the first release, and I'm fairly confident that future versions (hopefully as free software upgrades) will offer new features.

  • I don't remember encrypting my iTunes back up now my backup is also locked in my iPhone 5 can I create a new apple if and iCloud account and get my sms off of it and notes. That's all I need, I won't do a rest these items are too important as of now.

New iCloud act? Sync with my phone?
Keep my text msgs backed up somewhere, can't lose them please help thank you!

If the backup you're trying to restore from is encrypted, you will not be able to use that backup if you can't remember the encrypted backup passcode.
If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover the passcode from your Keychain. Otherwise, your data is unrecoverable.
While you can continue to sync/backup, if you can't remember it & want to remove it, you'll have to delete your existing backups & restore the phone as a new device. Your data will be unrecoverable.
You delete your existing backups here: iTunes>Preferences>Devices.
If you have data on your phone, like messages, you want to save, you're gonna have to use third-party software, like this, to extract them from your phone. Notes, contacts, etc, you can just sync back to your phone after you restore as new:

  • Can I create a seperate apple id & iTunes account using the same device?

I want to create a seperate iTunes account for my daughter to use when she borrows my iPad. Is this possible to do without effecting my account I already have linked to it?
    Thanks,
    Leanna

The ipad is designed to be a single user device, while you can log an ID out and another in, there is a possibility that one of the accounts will get restricted and unable to be used for 90 dyas, I do not know exactly why but I have seen many complaints from people here that have attempted it for games and such.

  • Can I create a second Apple ID and share content between the two?

We have an Apple ID that's used by the whole family to buy music etc from iTunes, but we also have 3 separate Apple devices, two iPhones and an iPad. Hence, ideally we would have 3 separate ID's that could all use the content currently on the family one. Is anything like this possible? Many thanks in advance.

Well yes, but if you want to update those apps, you'd need to sign in under your old Apple ID to update them. It's really best to just stick to one Apple ID, or you'll run into association complications down the road.

  • I can't create new iCloud acct bcs my email is attached to wife's acct

This Apple Id is my wife's. I want to create a new Apple Id with its own iCloud account, but when I try to it fails because my email account is already in use as her rescue email address. How can I create a new Apple Id and iCloud account using my email address? Do I need to have her change her rescue email address? We have tried to do that but don't know how to edit the account information.

A new angle on this issue arose when my wife suggested that I might already have an Apple id using my gmail account. So I tried logging in using that id, indicating that I had forgotten my password. When I clicked ok, the login screen indicated that an email was sent which would enable me to reset my password and recover my account. However, no email has been received after three hours. If the Apple id is not a valid one, wouldn't the login process indicate such?

  • How can i have a different Apple ID for my 2 iphones, currently both are having the same Apple IDs and all data is getting sync which i don't want to happen?
