Can't create table that grows using the button object

Im a beginner, and this seems like a simple issue. Appreciate your help in advance. When I try to do this, the button fails to add a row.
So, I printed out the Help section entitled, "create a table that grows using the button object" and started from scratch with a simple table as the only object on the form- and followed the instructions to the letter.
When I go to preview and click the button, a row is not added.
Can you suggest something?

Try this:
Select body row of table from hierarchy palette that you want to repeat then on he object tab of the properties tab select binding tab. You need to click on "Repeat Row for Each Data Item"

I'm getting the same thing. I created a new Apple ID via the Internet (appleid.apple.com) When I go to my device to try to use it, I have to review it first and in that process, I'm asked for a credit card or iTunes gift card. There is NO 'none' option.
I work in a school district and we'd like employees to use their own apple ID for free apps which will allow them the freedom to explore apps without weighing down our tech dept with myriad requests for random apps. I deal with a broad demographic and many users are suspicious of putting personal credit card info on an Internet-based account.
However, it appears they are locked out of the store unless they have some form of payment on file. Even if they enter a gift card, what happens when it's used up? Will they get locked out of the store if they don't have a balance?
Anyone have a work around? If not ... APPLE Please update your support materials to explain this, or fix the bug.

You will need to find a forum for MS Word since that is the software that you are trying to manipulate in this. If you think the processing/creation of the PDF plays a role then you should ask in the forum for the software that you are using to create the PDF.

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you can disable the F7 shortcut that toggles caret browsing by setting the pref accessibility.browsewithcaret_shortcut.enabled to false.

Can't create a RAID set using the Utilities window

Hello! this seems so weird to me. I have 2 new LaCie 500GB drives. I'm working with ProTools (music production) and I need redundancy in terms of data safety, that's the reason for creating a mirrored RAID set. 500 GB should last me for awhile OK. Drives are brand new out of the box. They came formatted as FAT-32, got rid of that and erased and reformatted them as OS extended, journaled. They can be seen in system profiler. They mount and unmount OK. They can each accept and store files and I can retrieve files from them. But I can't join them to create a mirrored RAID set. In the disk utility window, I highlight the icon of either drive and try to drag it into the window but it won't drag. What's going on? I did this just fine with my earlier Lacie 200GB drives and an MBP, what's wrong here?
I have a feeling I'm doing something really basic and really wrong but I can't see it!

It's subtle; I had the same problem and it took me a month to track it down.
It's not enough to reformat your new drives, you also need to repartition them to either GUID Partition Table or Apple Partition Map. Look and I'll bet your drives, properly formated as HFS+ (Mac, Journaling) are still however showing Master Boot Record as their partition scheme -- you'll need to re-partition them.
You need to use the "Options..." button when partitioning via the Disk Utility. You can choose whichever Map/Table is appropriate for your hardware from the window that opens.
My scheme: copy the data to one, repartition the second, copy the data back onto the second one from the first one, repartition the first one, copy the data back onto the first one from the second, and you should be good to go in setting up your RAID.

Once it starts, it uses a log table (MV Log) to track subsequent changes (i.e. it allows concurrent DML once it has started). At the end of the operation, it encounters another wait if there are existing transactions as it has to sync changes from the MV Log to the index.

Is there a way to create a new folder in an existing business area, from the command-line?
We have an application that provides an interface for the user to create a table and load flat file data into the table. After loading the data, the user will verify the loaded data using discoverer. If there is a command line interface to create a new folder, then the script that created the table can also call the discoverer command line to create a new folder for the new table. Is this possible?

I logged in to Oracle from command prompt. I used command create directory myFunDir as 'd:/funDir';. Oracle returns: Directory created. But I couldnt find the directory myFunDir! Where is it?

Can I create tables that are subsets of my master table?

I would like to create tables (or sheets) that are subsets of the master table so that I can view different subsets of data in smaller chunks. I would like to continue to enter data in the master - and have it reflected in the subsets. Possible?

Would this do what you want?
Create a table for your subset of info. In its first cell, enter "=" & then click on the cell in the master table that you want displayed in that cell of the new table. You will get a formula of the type:
=Table 1 :: B2
where "B2" will be whatever cell you clicked on in Table 1.
You can extend this formula downward or rightward with the circular blue fill handle to easily display adjacent row or column cells from the master table. You can also repeat the process starting with a new cell in the new table to display as many or as few cells of the master as you want. (You could even display different row or column values from the master in the same row or column of the new table, but I'm not sure that would be of any use.)
Once you get the subset table set up as you want, lock it so that you cannot accidentally change its cell contents to something else.
The result is a table slaved to the master which will automatically show any changes to the master but otherwise cannot be altered. This table can also be copied to other sheets & the formulas will be updated with the sheet reference automatically.
The only drawbacks to this approach that I know of are that you can't enter data into the subset table (which may be a good or bad thing) & that empty cells in the master will be represented by zeros in the subset table. An 'IF(ISBLANK())" formula addition would take care of that but may not be needed.

I have iTunes 12 installed on my 2014 MacBook Pro and late-2008 aluminium unibody MacBook. My husband and I share the MacBook and he wants to access my iTunes library because his is empty.
A friend told me that the easiest way to do this in iTunes 12 is to create a radio station using my music in my iTunes library. My iTunes music folder is just over 35GB in size (if that's relevant). Almost all of the music (>95%) is from my CDs that I've copied into iTunes over the years.
I would be really grateful if someone could tell me how I go about doing this because I'm afraid that I haven't been able to find any instructions on just how I go about this.

Here are other ways to share your library but it only works if you're both on the same network: Enable Home Sharing under iTunes/File Menu and read the iTunes Help entry for Home Sharing for additional info. It will allow up to 5 computers on your network to play and download items from your iTunes Library. Alternatively, you can enable "Share My Library On My Local Network" under iTunes Preferences which allows up to 5 computers to play any content in your library but without the ability to download them.
I assume you keep your iTunes Library synchronized on both computers. If you have it also on the MacBook, this Apple support document will explain how to share your iTunes Library with multiple users on the same computer. This is by far the easiest and always available without using the network.

Can't answer iphone 4s calls using the button on the steering wheel of my Buick 2009 Enclave.

My iphone 4s is hooked up to my Buick Enclave 2009 using Blueetooth. I can activate Bluetooth via the button on the steering wheel and make voice calls with no problem. However when someone calls me, I can hear the phone ringing through the speakers and can see the number on the display but I can't answer the call using the answer button on the steering wheel. I have to reach over and touch answer on the phone and then I can continue the conversation via Bluetooh. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

The exact same issue is happening with my iphone 5. I don't believe it is the Life Proof case because I have had the pnone for several months and this just recently started happening, I took it to an Apple store and they claimed that this issue is new, that they have never seen it before. After about an hour of trouble shooting, they gave me a new phone.
The new phone worked fine (in the case) for about a week and then started having the same problem. I am on the Sprint network. I have an iphone 4s for work in the same case on the AT&T network and do not have any problems.
I am going to go back to the Apple store at my first opportunity. I wish I would have kept my old 4s which I had no problems with.

I have a document that includes the information of 6 different books, each one has its own TOC at the beginning of the chapter. The chapter title is only written as the title in the TOC. In the first book I want to create a general index that shows the 6 chapter names. I have tried to create a TOC, but it just appears blank. I think that's because I haven't written the titles, they were created in each chapter TOC by InDesign. I really think there must be a way to create this general TOC but I just can't figure it out. My question is, in its entirety: Can a single report (rpt file) create multiple PDF files using the export command, ideally one PDF file per DB record?
In my case; I have a Crystal Report that reads data from a DB table containing ~ 500 records. When I export the report to a PDF file, I get one PDF file, with ~ 500 pages.
What I would like to do is export the report to ~ 500 individual PDF files; One file per DB record. The file names would be based on the table's primary key.
Is this possible?

Hi,
you need some lines of code, but its easy. Dependend on how to start the generation of your 500 PDFs, you can write an ASP page and start it via Web Browser, or a Windows Script and start it via scheduled job...
Here's an abstract of the ASP code I use:
First, you create a recordset (here: "rsc") which gives you the list of ID fields you want to export, then you create CrystalRuntime.Application object, then you loop through the recordset, open your report (here: "oRpt") and set login info. Then set the selectionformula, so that the report displays only the data of the current ID, e.g.:
oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula = "(" & oRpt.RecordSelectionFormula & ") AND {myTab.myVal}=" & rsc("myVal")
Then you export the report, move to the next record in recordset, and repeat the loop until recordset.EOF. Then you close recordset and connection.
