Can't deactivate CS6

I purchased cs6 a year ago and installed and registered it with no problems. Last december I decided to avail of photoshop cs6 cc offer and subscribed to it. However in order for me to avail of cs6 cc I have to deactivate my original cs6 but I cannot do it. My internet is working perfectly, I am able to sign into adobe and use other sites, but when I try to deactivate cs6 it states it is unable to connect to the internet. I am not familiar with proxy settings and the like but need to get this sorted asap.

I forgot to add that your allowed two installs on two of your own computers, so you can go ahead and install
on your new computer and it should still activate unless you already used up your two activations.

If it's the same machine (same CPU) there should not be any need to activate. The actiovation is tied to your CPU.

Can I install CS6 on the SSD and HDD of the same computer without losing licence?

I just upgraded my Macbook Pro, Mac OS X 10.6.8 with a new SSD.
I am not sure how smooth and errorless my original HDD OS X has been running, so instead of using Set Up Assistant or the Migration Assistant, I did a fresh installation of OS X on the SSD. Now I want to either individually carry all apps to the SDD or, more favorably, put a fresh install on the SSD.
If I try to simply install the CS6 from my downloaded install software, I suppose it will ask me for the serial number. As far as I know I can install the CS6 on two separate personal computers. I want to save my second option for the iMac I want to buy later on. So how can I do this installation on the SSD?
And, once I do the installation, I will keep working from the SSD, but still want to keep the HDD version as a backup until I am sure the new SSD works flawless for some months.
Same question will go for LR4.

You can only deactivate on the computer programs reside on. If you sold computer to another without deactivating it is a valid copy but you did not transfer programs legally. I would contact seller, get ahold of the computer, open the programs and click Help/Deactivate.
If you call customer service and get a new reactivation code your s/n could be blacklisted if the other users opens the programs. Now you have multiple copies, being used by another, and perhaps at same time.

You do not want to try to move it. Just install it like you did the first time. You are allowed to have two activated installations so there is no need to deactivate and uninstall on the original machine - though you can if you choose to. In order to reactivate this product on a new machine, you can simply download & Install the product on the new machine using the following link and enter the serial number when prompted. Make sure to deactivate the product from your old machine by launching any one of the products, go to Help>Deactivate/signout.

What version of Premiere Elements is still installed activated on the old computer (what is your old operating system)?
What version of Premiere Elements are you going to install and activate on your new computer (what is your new operating system)?
Before you do anything, how many of your computers now have the same Premiere Elements purchased/activated serial number installed on them - just that one old one?
The answers to the above might help us to help you so that you do not have to contact Adobe.

You are allowed to have two activted installations, so if the first machine is the only machine with an activated installation there is nothing prohibiting you from installing and activating on the new machine.

An unsatisfactory product from a company now difficult to contact by email that hides behind an unhelpful 'Help' desk in India staffed by non-proficient English speakers incapable of providing any answers not on their crib sheets.
I am directed here to get a user to do Adobe's work.

I'm trying to upgrade the iOS for my iPad 2 and I can't because it will delete all my purchased apps since the computer I'm using can't be activated. My old desktop has no access to the Internet anymore and my laptop is fried so I don't have the ability to deactivate either of them. iTunes says that I've reached my limit of 5 and I have no idea what the other three are, but I need to activate my new laptop so that I can upgrade the iOS on my iPad. How can I deactivate computers that are either not online or dead?

1. open itunes
2. click "itunes store" on left side
3. click "account" on right side
4. login
5. click "deauthorize all" button
this will obviously deauthorize all computer associated with your account, then you can re-add the ones you need afterwards.
note: i've heard (i dont know this for a fact) that you can only do this once per year.
