Can't Decline or Delete Messenger Contact Request

Not being familiar with BBM, I recently added it to my phone with no security options turned on.  Friday I received a ton of requests (from unknown people) to add mine to their contact lists, which I declined.  They each were removed from my message list when I declined them.  However, one of the messages will not go away.  I have clicked "decline" and have attempted to delete the message, neither of which has had any effect.
I have since blocked incoming PIN messages in my firewall with exceptions of "Contacts" and "Specific Addresses".
Any idea how to get rid of this one message?
Did someone somehow obtain my PIN or were all of the requests I received simply broadcasts that I picked up?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

To delete the message from your Messages folder, try this:
Open your Messages folder.  Highlight the date just above the message in question.  Click the menu button, which is the BB button to the left of the trackpad.  Select Delete Prior>Delete.  If the message remains there, remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it a few seconds later.  The message should be gone upon reboot.
As for someone getting your PIN, there is really only way for them to do so and that's for you to give it to them.  If this is not the case, perhaps you're using a secondhand phone in which the previous owner gave his/her PIN to others?  If it's neither of those options, then I'm out of ideas.
Hopefully we get rid of that message at the very least.

  • Can we able to delete the particular request

    HI,
We have code for to deleting all request from Database.
Can we able to delete the particular request from the Database.
For example, I have request start from 100 to 150.
If i want to delete the request : 125, is any way we can pull all requests in the dropdown and delete the particular request.
Pls any one give a suggestion, how can we archive this?
    Regards,
    Anandh P

    Hi Anandh,
Kevin is right you can use the workspace and use a grab (and then abort) to "delete" the instance.
It will no longer be running and will be viewed as aborted.
You can create a custom UI by using the PAPI or PAPI-WS depending on you preferences.
However if I'm not mistaken there is a third option that is the deletion of instances from the database.
I believe there is a PL/SQL procedure that can be run to delete all instances from the database. However this isn't limited to a single instances..
---( Can someone confirm this.. I'm not sure if this is for BPM or just for SOA Suite?) ---
    Hope this helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Nils

  • Random Blackerry Messenger Contact Requests

Hi, I keep receiving hundreds of contact requests on blackberry messenger from people that I don't know. I've honestly received 400 requests so far today.
I haven't shared my pin on twitter or facebook, etc. so I don't know how these people have gotten it!
Is there any way I can stop or block this?
    Thanks.

Somehow, somebody has got ahold of your PIN.  Perhaps you bought your phone second-hand?  If it's the odd request here and there, I usually suggest it's just somebody sending out random requests but since you're receiving so many, it's beyond that.
The only real solution is to exchange your phone for another one thereby swapping PINs.  Technically, there is no method of filtering which requests should come to your phone and which ones should be bounced.  As long as you keep this PIN active, the requests will probably continue to come in.
Not advice you wanted to hear but I see no other solution.

  • Delete Pending Contact Request

I'm not seeing the right answer to this anywhere.
I made a contact request to the wrong party. It's still pending, and I wish to delete this.
Unless I click on the contact in the far left column, I can't take any action. The only two apparently relevant actions available when I right-click on the contact name are Delete Conversation and Show Profile. But Delete Conversation doesn't really do anything in this case, and there is no action under profile available to delete this contact.
    So what is the solution?

    on Skype main screen:
click contacts (left sidebar) > sort through contacts and find persons name > right click and hit delete contact

  • Deleting messenger contacts

I've switched from Windows Live Messenger to Skype and I noticed it imported a lot of contacts that I had blocked/deleted ages ago. I was going to block them again but for whatever reason there is no block option so I just deleted. Is deleting essentially the same thing as blocking? Will these people be able to see my photo, profile information, etc, given that my privacy setting does not allow it?
    Thank you.

  • How to remove Messenger contacts???

OK, it has been long enough for Skype to take Messenger's place. I have Bing'd, Google'd and Yahoo'd the process to remove the Messenger contacts from my people list in the Skype app. I have re-installed defunct versions of Messenger on throw away virtual machines so that I can sign in to my Microsoft account and actually remove my Messenger contacts there as the API it communicates with is still apparently available. The contacts do not show up in the desktop verison of the Skype client, only the Windows 8 Store version of the client., version 2.7.0.1002. I can click these people and block/remove them until I am blue in the face, but they will not leave my people list. I know none of these contacts will ever be online again, Messenger is gone. How can these ancient artifacts be removed.
Wait, before you say "cancel your Microsoft account and create another", I just plain can/will not. I have way too much tied to my Microsoft account with Microsoft (MSDN, Azure, Outlook.com). No way I am doing that. I really like Skype, not a fan of the way the transition to it has been handled, but it has been years now and this is still not cleaned up. What gives?

I totally agree and millions of Skype users do to and have the same opinion and problem. We have transitioned to Skype, Microsoft has pushed us to do so, but we still are tied to old technology with no way to leave it behind. The transition from Messenger to Skype has been one of the worst planned. We should be able to delete Messenger contacts directly from the Windows 8 Skype app or desktop app. So why has this post not had a reply from Microsoft?

  • EWS script to delete a contact?

    Hello all,
I'm looking for some help coming up with an EWS script that can be used to delete a contact from a few hunderd users mailboxes. Ideally, I'd like to target the contact for deletion based on email address, in
    order to reduce accidental deletions.
I've got a working script that adds contacts but I haven't been able to work backwards from there to create a script to add contacts.
I'm very much new to EWS scripting so any help/direction here is very much appreciated!

Post the script you have so far what you have tried and ask questions around what you don't understand and we can help you make that script do what you want to. Here is an EWS contact export script that shows how you can enumerate contacts
    in EWS

  • How to automatically decline contact requests?

I had a creepy girl on Skype ask me if I wanted to see her camera and share dirty pics so I said no them blocked her. And that repeted 6 times. How would I set up Skype to where it automatically declines contact requests because I only add people that I actually know.
[Topic title edit to more accurately reflect content]

Hi, Mr_Secret, and welcome to the Community,
Skype currently does not provide such a setting.  Perhaps you would consider supporting this idea on the Windows Idea message board?

  • Declining hundreds of contact requests at once

I have received 370 contact requests in a short period of time, all from different people. How can I easily decline all 370 requests?

I have tried this a few times as I wanted to archive some mail to a PDF file.  I select a group on mail message and then select print.  It only shows one of the messages being ready to print.  Because it only showed one file, I presumed that it would only prin the one file.
Based on your response, I went ahead and tried the print to PDF. It created a separate PDF file for each mail item.  I then selected all of the PDF files, opened them with preview and did a second print which comned them all into one file.
Thanks for your comment.  As you say, it does print groups of mail items. It is just not obvious that it is going to do it.

Everything that you have checked in your icloud settings will be shared between devices using the same Apple ID.  If you don't want icloud to share that information, then simply turn off that process under settings > icloud

  • I have two devices on my account : one iPhone5S and one iPhone5 both connected to iCloud. When I deleted 500 contacts on one device they disappeared automatically from the other. How can I get them back

How can I get back deleted contacts from iCloud?

If both phones were syncing contacts with the same account, that's normal.  iCloud syncs changes on one devices to all other devices sharing the account.
If you don't have another backup source for your contacts, you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.
