Can't delete a provisioning profile

I'm in Xcode organizer and when I click the provision profile and press the minus button (delete), nothing happens.
I even went to home / Library / Mobile Device / Provisioning Profiles and the directory is empty.
Any suggestions? I think this relates to another error I am having.

Thanks a million

  • How can I delete a fixed profile rule in a Linksys ATA?

I have a Linksys SPA2100 ATA that I used with a previous VoIP provider. I did a factory reset but their profile rule is still listed in the first Profile Rule section under the Provisioning tab. Profile Rule B, C and D are blank and I can enter a profile rule in there but I can't delete the main profile rule because it is fixed. I can't highlight it and delete it for some reason. There must be another way to delete this profile. This is what is listed there minus the name of the provider. I attached a screen shot too. Thanks.
    Profile Rule: https://spa.act.voip.xxxxxx.com/$PN/stub.bin

    Hi billcanada,
Take a look at your SPA2102's Voice tab > Info tab > Product Information > Customization:
    It should contain "Open"
If not, you've got what is known as an "RC-unit" which is what we sell to many service providers allowing them to customize and lock the unit down. Given that you've got admin access, try the following [but don't be disappointed if it doesn't work]:
    1. Enable debug on the SPA2102
    2. Write a simple config file called spa2102.cfg whose contents include:
      Yes
      /spa$PSN.cfg
    3. Save the spa2012.cfg file in the root of your TFTP server
    4. Start the TFTP server
    5. Start Wireshark on the subnet to which the ATA is connected
    6. Power-cycle the ATA
    7. Once it's booted, try and force a resync of your ATA using your browser: htttp://ataIPaddress/admin/resync?tftp://ipAddrOfTftpServer/spa2102.cfg
    8. Verify with Wireshark that the ATA requested and received the /spa2102 file
    9. Use a browser to determine if your config file overwrote the grayed-out Profile_Rule in the web-UI

  • Can't delete custom color profile

I created a custom color profile and now it won't let me delete it, the delete option is grayed out. I have looked in the colorsync profile folder and it isn't there either. Does anyone know how to delete it?
    Message was edited by: Chad3405

    Chad,
Open your Color Sync Utility, and find the profile in question. Once highlighted, it will show the path for that profile under "Profile Information:". Follow that path, and you can delete it from there, though it will probably ask for an administrator password. That should be it.
    Hope this helps,
    Jeff

  • How Can I Delete My Crimecity Profile on Itouch??., How Can I Delete My Crimecity Profile on Itouch??.

I recently downloaded Crimecity the game on my IPod Touch 4, and I accidentally put my full name on my public profile, it would alot to me if someone can tell me how to delete my account or how to change my profile name. Thank you.

Since iCloud accounts are affiliated with Apple IDs, once you create an iCloud account, said account cannot be removed/deleted or merged with a different iCloud account. The only thing you can do is simply not use the iCloud account.

  • How can i delete an old profile off game center when i dont know the password?

i set up an account on game center when i first got my old iphone and have since upgraded my iphone. i cant remeber the password for it and so cant log in. i cant seem to reset the password but when i play games i get a prompt telling me that no achievements will be saved until i log in. i have opened a new account on game center but still get the prompt from the old account!!! can anyone help?

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library).  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

  • Can't delete VPN profiles

I can't delete any VPN profile from my original ipad. I go to Settings> General>Networks>VPN, but there is no red Delete button at the bottom of the configuration window. A hard restart makes no difference. I'm running a fully updated original iPad. TIA for suggestions.

I had the same problem with a VPN app that installed 50+ VPN configs. It seemed that the configs were registered but not the VPN profile such that the removal of the configs is virtually impossible.
I tried the followings with no success:
    - overwrite the VPN configs
    - reset Network Settings
    - reset All Settings
    - factory reset with backup restore (factory reset with no backup restore it does work but it was not a solution for me)
Finally, I found a simple (not elegant) solution to get rid of the VPN configs:

    Thanks

    Looking at this page:
    http://developer.apple.com/iphone/manage/distribution/index.action
Make sure that you've done all the steps... "Generating a Certificate Signing Request", "Submitting a Certificate Signing Request for Approval", "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates", "Create and download your iphone distribution provisioning profile"...
When I went through this process, I think I forgot to do the step "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates"... (skipping straight to "create and download your iphone disbritution profile") as a result the provisioning profile name wasn't appearing for me to select... When I completed that step, then the provisioning profile name appeared...

  • Deleting local user profile on RDS without reboot

I need to delete the local profile for a user on our RDS server, because of a problem with this user.
Since the user was using RDS a few days ago, and RDS wasn’t rebooted since, I can’t delete the local profile. When I go to advanced system settings—user
profiles. The ‘delete’ option is greyed out.
I know that I can reboot the server then will be able to delete it, but since this server is serving many users, it means they all have to stop using it.
Is there a way to delete this user’s profile without rebooting the server?
    I use sever 2008 R2.
    Thanks

    Hi,
A local user profile is created the first time a user logs on to a computer. The profile is stored on the computer's local hard disk. Changes made to the local user
profile are specific to the user and to the computer on which the changes are made.
Windows security requires a user profile for each user account on a computer. The system automatically creates a local user profile for each user when the user logs
on to the computer for the first time. The system automatically maintains the settings for each user's work environment in a user profile on the local computer.
Windows Vista and later: User profiles are managed through the
User Accounts control (UAC) panel item.
    You can open the
Control Panel and click User Accounts, then click the Change User Account Control setting, dropped to the lowest turn off UAC. Press OK.
Then you can use administrator account try again to see whether you can delete the local user profile or not.

  • Provisioning Profiles Generation gives "Unknown Error" after Selecting Members

Well, I can no longer generate provisioning profiles because it gives an unknown error after selecting members and clicking continue. Any workarounds?

They mentioned when I called that the (-18) error is a network error because of their activation servers being down at this time. They said the activation servers are used to authenticate restores through iTunes for the iPhone. It should be back up tonight or tomorrow sometime according to support.
So if its not back up by tomorrow I will call again. Thanks for the help.

  • Running code on iPhone: Can't select Code Signing Provisioning Profile

I've gone through all the steps to create certificates, app id's, provisions profiles etc.
But in Xcode, when I want to select the Code Signing Provisioning Profile in Info->Build, the only options available is 'Default Provisioning Profile for Code Signing'.
The profile has been added to my iPhone with Organizer and on the iPhone itself (under General->Profile), it's also listed correctly.
I feel like I'm close to the finish, but stuck right in front of it.
I'm using the latest versions of iTunes, Xcode, iPhone 2.0 etc.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Tom

Here are a few things that I did that were suggested in older threads. They may not be necessary, but they don't hurt either:
    * Certificates: you need two them. One is your personal one that you [download]. The other one is the WWDR Intermediate Certificate. When I open 'Keychain Access' and click on 'Certificates', it should show those to. Your personal one should be called 'iPhone Developer: FirstName LastName'. (I assume this is ok for you, but others may find this useful.)
    * App Id: different people have pointed out that you should make your App Id precise, but with not more than 3 levels. The docs suggest using '*' as only path during development, but the docs may be out of date on this one. So in my case, I have ID: ABCFDEF123.com.mycompany.appname. That's it. I've noticed that you'll only be able to have exactly 1 application on your device at the same time with this ID, but that's ok for now.
    * Create your provisioning profile with all this.
    I've then done this:
    - quit Xcode
    - delete all profiles out for ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles
    - copy the new one in this directory. I didn't do drag and drop because some threads indicated that this doesn't always work.
    - remove previous profile from device (iPhone->Settings->General->Profiles->Delete)
    - start up Xcode
    - Start up Organizer
The new profile should now be visible in Organizer and be downloaded to your iPhone.
In the Info.plist, set the Bundle Identifier to com.mycompany.myapp.
    In Build options:
Code Signing Identity -> 'iPhone Developer: FirstName LastName'
And now suddenly the new profile did show up.
    After that it just worked.
Now some have also indicated that even if the profile doesn't show up, you can still get it to work by forcing it in (just double-click on "Code Signing Provisioning Profile" or somewhere in that neighborhood) and fill in the name. I can't confirm if that solves it because when I did so, my certificates were still incorrect...
    Good luck!

  • Hi we have apple credentials for downloading OS and creating Provisioning profiles. Now we are trying to upgrade the Mac OS 10.7.3 version. do we need should buy this version from appStore. or can it be download from the apple site for free?  Many thanks

Hi we have apple credentials for downloading OS and creating Provisioning profiles. Now we are trying to upgrade the Mac OS 10.7.3 version. do we need should buy this version from appStore. or can it be download from the apple site for free?  Many thanks in advance!

Whether you need to buy Mac OS X 10.7.3 depends on what version of OS X you have now.
If you have OS X 10.6.x or lower it is a paid upgrade from the Mac AppStore.
If you have OS X 10.7.x it is a free upgrade you get using Software Update on your Mac.

  • I can't delete an email account that is saved in "profiles"

I want to delete an email account and start over. Sounds easy, right? No. There is no "delete" option when I click on the account. Othere email accounts, yes, but not this one. At the bottom of a screen it says these settings are in my "profiles". But I don't know where that "profile" is. Please have mercy on this guy who is running out of patience.

You can't delete an iTunes accounr/Apple ID. All you can do is stop using it. What you can do is change your Apple ID password, as well as the password for your email account. That will put an end to this.

  • Roles/Profiles Deleted After Provisioning Bulk Request

    Hi there guys,
I just want to ask something. Looking at the SUIM logs, whatever roles that were added to the users were also deleted after several minutes (10-20 minutes approximately) and were registered under the username. Please help identify what triggered the deletion of roles/profiles.
    Thanks,
    Marlon

    Hi,
The parent system is the CUA master.  Do the new roles appear in the CUA master for the userID or have they been removed?
If the allocations are present in the CUA master but don't appear in the user in the target system then that shows that there has been a failure somewhere in the chain of idoc being sent from parent, received at target and then processed.  The question about the reprocessing is that it is quite common for SAP not to be able to process all the idocs in the target system when a mass change.  That is why you should have a job running which re-processes failed idocs.  You can also do this manually in BD87.
What is the status of the SCUL logs in the parent system?  Are there any that are showing errors? Can you reprocess any of these?
Has this run before and been successful?

  • Can't install Provisioning Profile on Ipad

I have a provisioning profile that works fine on my iphone.
I followed all the necessary steps.  I add myapp.mobileprovision to the Itunes library file/add file to library... then I press sync.
Now when I go to settings/general on the Ipad - I dont see any profiles.
I downloadd iphone configuration utility with the hope to copy this provision profile to my iPad but it doesn't work !
Please can u tell me how can i fix this issue?

you can install the app on any number of devices.  There is a limit on how many devices on the same account can stream at the same time.
first, make sure the app is not already on the device by using spotlight to search your device.  it may be hidden in a folder somewhere.

  • [iPhone] How to delete Provisioning Profile, AppID (for device testing)

Hi, on the developer portal, I'd like to get rid of the appID and provisioning profile.
I have already deleted the certificate.
I had removed the profile from Xcode organizer and that also removed the profile from my iPhone.
However, http://developer.apple.com/iphone/manage/provisioningprofiles/index.action continues to list the profile. Its status is now marked as "Invalid" and clicking on the "Modify" button does nothing
Does anyone know how to remove the profile from my program-portal settings. I'm assuming the profile is invalid because I've deleted the certificate.
The ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles directory is empty and I have no other subdirectories under ~/Library/MobileDevice. So I don't know where this profile is coming from
I'd also like to delete the appID. Does anyone know how to delete an appID
Btw I'm deleting all this because of the problem described in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1735100

After I added a second provisioning profile, the http://developer.apple.com/iphone/manage/provisioningprofiles/index.action page gave me a button to delete the first profile.
So I was able to delete the first provisioning profile.
I haven't found any way to delete an App ID.
So for now, I'm just going to assume that Apple doesn't let developers remove any App IDs (even though it is the developers who create these App IDs)
However, aside from the unnecessary clutter, I'm not concerned about this limitation
was able to create a new App ID and I'm using the new AppID now.
I was able to fix the problem decsribed in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1735100. I'll update that thread after a while.
