Can't delete an imported iCal Calendar

long time ago I imported a some calendar about the moon it somehow became a part of a personal calendar of mine so I can't delete it without deleting all other items. Is there a way to select only this calendar and delete it?

Use the search box with terms like quarter, full etc to display the events in a list at the bottom of the window, from where you can delete them.

  • Deleting and Publishing ical Calendar with AppleScript

I have a question I hope somebody can help me with.
Thanks to a previous manager, we're stuck with Microsoft Project for our product release scheduled management. It has no capability for exporting the information into an iCal format for publication on our web dav server (so that sales reps, programmers, and techs can view it). I've made a BBEdit script that can take a tab delimited export of the crucial information from Project and make it into an importable iCal file.
I'd like to find a way to delete the old iCal calendar, import the replacement and publish it using the same script. Unfortunately my Applescript skills are minimal; the BBEdit recorder has made it so easy to do most of what I need that I haven't had to learn all the rules for making a script.
If anyone knows if this can be done, and how, and could help, I'd really appreciate it.

    Alf,
I don't see a list of available calendars, so I think one needs the name of the calendar to access it. Is this correct?
You are partially correct, the only protection that you have in this case is the fact that anyone who wishes to access a specific published calendar has to either know or guess the username/calendar_name combination.
According to Apple: If your iCal calendars contain private or confidential information, you should not publish them on .Mac. Anyone who knows your calendar's URL can subscribe to it using iCal or view it using a web browser.
In order to prevent unauthorized access Publishing a password-protected iCal calendar to iDisk, offers a viable secure alternative.

  • Can't delete or import event

I'll create a new event in my iMovie library (let's call it DVD1) and I'll import video from my video folder from iSkySoft Video Conversion.  The video will upload fine.  But then once I exit out of iMovie and go back into it, the event title (DVD1) will be displayed on the left handside under my iMovie Library but there will be no video in it.  It says DVD1 is empty, so I've tried re-importing it but whenever I select my video I want to import and then hit "Import Selected" on the bottom right nothing happens.  I've also tried deleting DVD1 so I will click on it and then click on "Move Event to trash" and nothing happens.  So now I have about 20 of those DVD1's and not only can I not add media to them but I also can't delete them.
I've tried updating my software on my computer, I've tried uninstalling iMovie and re-installing and both have not worked.

Not sure if this is the same as my problem, but there are definite similarities.
when I accept an invitation on my ipad, the invitation chooses whichever calendar it wants (usually the wrong one) and I can't choose which calendar an event goes to.   And yes, the obvious answer of setting the default calendar on all my devices is not the problem.
I also do not have the ability to delete or edit the appointment on the iPad.
In my case, I can go to my mac and edit/delete there, but I shouldn't have to break out my mac every time I accept an appointment on my ipad.
For what it's worth, the upgrade to mountain lion did add a "delete" option to calendar invitations that wasn't there before.   But still, I CANT DO ANYTHING with the invitation on my ipad either before or after accepting it.

  • Can't find my published iCal calendar

    Hello,
I published two iCal calendars from my Mac at home, but when I try to pull it up from my PC at work using the url format "http://ical.mac.com/username/calendar" I get "We're sorry but we cannot find the iCal you've requested. It's possible that it has been deleted or renamed."
I'm sure that I'm using the right calendar and username -- checked the spelling a dozen times.
It worked one time and I bookmarked one of my calendars. The bookmark works even though the generic url does not, but I didn't bookmark the second calendar, so I can't get to it.
I tried substituting the second calendar name for the first in the bookmark url, but that doesn't work either.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks.
    Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Seems funny,
Have you checked in ical the the page is being published, should be a little icon to the right of the calendar...
If this is all ok, check that its still there by either right clicking or control clicking on the published calendar and choosing 'Show calendar on .mac" at least then you know that it is still there.

  • Can't delete items in my calendar

    HI!
I'm using the Mozilla Thunderbird calendar on my computer at work and I was previously syncing it with the iPhone calendar using Google calendar, but that didn't work out too well as meetings we're placed at the wrong time and as I couldn't even book meetings at the end. So I decided to invite myself to all meetings and accept them using my iPhone instead (not the most efficient way, I know...). That way, both calendars were updated. But now I've encountered a whole other problem. None of the meetings I have accepted on my iPhone can be deleted or updated, no matter if I or someone else has arranged them. How do I get rid of the meetings that I don't want and how do I avoid this problem in the future?
    Best regards,
    // Marcus

    There are several ways
         - Selecting the event and hitting the "delete" key on your keyboard (as Wayne Contello said)
         - Selecting the event and opening the "edit" dropdown menubar item, and then selecting "delete"
         - Selecting the event and right clicking, then selecting "cut" (this option puts the event on your clipboard)

  • Evernote: Can I delete the imported file???

If you are a premium suscriber to Evernote, can you delete the original file (i.e., PDF, Excel, ...) that was imported into Evernote or do you need to keep it for future editing, sharing or such?
It seems Evernote copies the imported file and puts it into the Evernote folder located in the hidden Library directory (user/home/library/application support/evernote).

The people here are visitors who might have knowledge and might choose to share it, if they have the time, and feel like answering a question. Your questions, instead, suggest that you think it is someone's job here to answer your questions. If you want it to be someone's job, you should raise a support case. This too will require patience.
You will not welcome this advice, I am sure, but it is well not to try to use your own deadline to try to make other people feel the problem is more urgent to them.

  • Outlook 2010 Calendar issue - can't delete items of shared calendar, but can move it of

So I'm deploying Office 2010 to our group and our office assistant/receptionist helps manage several calendars and he was able to do so witout problem after the upgrade from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010. But the other day out of the blue he started to not
be able to add meetings to peoples calendar, but that now works in part to the /cleanfreebusy switch, but he is not able to delete meetings from other peoples calendar. He keeps getting the following error mesg: "Could not complete the deletion.
The items may have been already deleted or moved. "
He does have full editor access for the calendars. The other users are still using Office 2003, except for two (who are using 2010), but he has the same issue with their calendar also. Now here is the really strange thing, he is able to drag and move (holding
the shift key down) the appointment from the users calendar to his and then it's gone from the other persons calendar, then he is able to delete it from his calendar without any issues.
I have removed and recreated the Outlook exchange mail profile. The meetings he puts on peoples calendar does show on those peoples calendar. I've run every Outlook command
    line switch I could find.
    Help!

    Dear David,
Based on my research, this issue might be related to many factors, such as some third-party add-ins’ conflicts. At this time, I suggest checking the issue by
    starting Outlook in safe mode.
Start the Outlook program in safe mode
    ==============
    1.
Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to
    Microsoft Office.
    2.
Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click
    Microsoft Outlook.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them. Normally,
you could do the following to disable the conflict add-ins in your Outlook program:
    Disable add-ins
    a.
    Click
File menu à click Options à
Add-in à click Go button in the Manage:
    Com-in Add.
    b.
Check if there are any add-ins,
clear the checkbox to disable them.
    c.
    Close the Office program and
    restart it.
    d.
Add one check back each time to the list of Add-In,
restart the Office program, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.
    Best Regards,
    Sally Tang

  • Can't delete an event in Calendar.

I'm trying to delete an even in calendar but I keep getting an error message that says "You can’t change events in the "Contacts' birthdays and events" calendar. Only the calendar administrator and any delegates with permission can make changes to read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator." I'm the only one that uses this computer. Anyone know how I can delete it?

I have exactly the same problem as do others... I got this answer from one helpful soul... however me being a normal idiot, I can't follow the instruction...probbly due to not being 18 and born into this techno age.  But here it is incase you know how to follow it... "Are you logged in as an admin user? Try running Disk Utilities/Repair Permissions after quitting Calendar."

  • Can't delete email from appointment calendar from blackberry 8310?

I currently have a blackberry 8310 with at&t. I deleted an email that i don't use anymore, but it's still showing up in my appointment calendar, how do i get rid of this?

I was hoping that it would be a temporary issue but it is still continuing 24 hours later. I'm fairly certain that it is not an issue with the Mail client because I can delete email from my other accounts; still can't delete email from my .Mac account. I continue to receive the error message in my original post.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Thanks m.bode for responding to my question.

  • Can non-Mac users view iCal calendar posted to iCalx?

Is there a way to publish an iCal calendar to the Web through iCalx that a large group of people can view without having a Mac and iCal? Thanks for any help you might be able to offer. Phil

OK, so let's get to the bottom of this.
I just created a new Calendar in iCal. I clicked the option for it to publish titles and notes. I added www.apple.com to the note field, and then published it to icalx (in a public folder, no password needed). I went to my icalx account and clicked on the html version of the new calendar. I navigated to the date of the new event and clicked on it. A pop-up window shows with my note in it, but the link is not clickable.
So, I went back to iCal and edited the note, changing the note to "http://www.apple.com", refreshed that calendar, went back to icalx and clicked on the event and the pop-up window had a clickable link in it, which took me to Apple's website.
I also did your specific website address and it showed up fine as a clickable link.
Is there anything at all about the above that is different when you try to do it?

  • Can I sync a single iCal calendar only and not all my calendars?

I use iCal at work and at home. I have two calendars: work and family. I use my .Mac account to sync my two calendars between my home computer and work computer. While at work today I subscribed to several of my employees' iCal calendars so that we could coordinate our schedules. However, now those employee calendars are being sync'd to my home iCal.
Is there a way to continue using my .Mac account to sync my home and work calendars but not those of my employees??? Thanks in advance!
    Joe

Thanks for the thought. I just tried that and when I select .Mac in iSync it tells me I no longer use iSync to sync and it opens the .Mac preferences window. The .Mac preferences do not seem to allow specific calendars - just check whether you want "calendars" to sync....
    Is there another way?
    Joe

  • Can not delete an event on calendar...every time i try and delete it, it makes another event

I have been trying to delete an event on my calendar for about a week now. I had it set to go off at 1pm everyday forever. I set the event to end somewhere in 2015 and I have been trying to delete it because I did not need it anymore. But now  every time I try and delete it, the event is created again. So now i have the same event about 5 or more times on each day since I have tried to delete it. I have tried many different ways to delete it. And at one point i deleted everything on my calendar but that event will not go away. It is also taking up a lot of storage on my phone. Whenever I try and delete it the screens stays on that page for about 5 to 10 minutes like it is trying to delete.   I need some help please.
    Thank you.

  • How can I delete all of my calendars and start over from scratch?

I am sure this is an easy question because it seems that others before me have probably been in this situation. I wish to delete my calendars (and todo lists, etc) in iCal. In essence I want to start over from scratch as if I had not yet used iCal.
Do you have any advice on how I can go about doing so?
    Thanks!
    Rod

    Rod,
Select the calendar(s) you want to delete in the Calendars list on the left side of the iCal window. Then hit the delete key or select Delete from the Edit menu.

  • Bug in import iCal calendar

The bug can be seen when a calendar is introduced from CalDav. The calendar is then linked to a group. If a .ics calendar is imported, the group is proposed as a possibility for importation and if chosen then iCal enters in an infinite loop
