Can't Delete Data Load Request

Hi All,
During the initial data load there was some error and the data load in Manage ODS is shown as RED, also 12 records are seen as uploaded, which can be seen in New Data Tab. This request is also seen as available for reporting but with RED Light. Now, we want to delete this request but we can't, the reason is beyond our knowledge. Can some help how to delete this request, so that we can load data again. Below is wht we could get
Message type__________ E (Error)
Message class_________ RSMPC (Messages for Process Chains of Generic Processes)
We didn't use Process Chain for uploading the initial data

Hi,
Go to the info package
select the "Sheduler" menu
Delete the initial upload data and try the initial load again

I hope the DS itself is not Delta enabled. If so i think you can delete the contents of PSA. This step can be added in the Process chain before actually loading the FULL IP to DS. Then you can include a step to "Delete Entire data from DataTarget" step in the process chain before actually loading the DTP(Can be Delta/FULL. I dont think there is any impact here since both will bring only one request from DS to DataTarget since PSA will have only one request) from DS to Cube.

Using partitioning, you can separate the dataset of a PSA table into several smaller, physically independent, and redundancy-free units. This separation can mean improved performance when you update data from the PSA. In the <b>Implementation Guide with SAP NetWeaver > Business Intelligence > Connections to Other Systems > Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer</b> you define the number of data records needed to create a new partition. Only data records from a complete request are stored in a partition. The specified value is a threshold value.

If you are using this database you can also partition PSA tables. You first have to activate this function using RSADMIN parameter DB4_PSA_PARTITIONING = 'X'. SAP Note 815186 includes more comprehensive information on this.

OK, I've found the timestamp the data load requests in the table RSMONICDP.
To get the earliest data load for infoCube FRED, I'm going to Oracle via SQL*Plus, as follows:

Geez, maybe people over 60 shouldn't have iPhones, iTunes just bafles me.

Here are some options
1) Use standars packages and schedule them :
A) Openhub masterdata file into a flat file/ BPC App server and Schedule the package - Import Master Data from a Data File and other relevent packages.
2 ) Using Custom Tasks in Custom Packages ( SSIS)
Procedure
From the Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Developer Studio, open the Microsoft SSIS folder.
Create a new package, or select an existing package to modify.
Choose Task Register Custom Task .
In the Task Location field, browse for the target .dll file.
Note
By default, the .dll files are stored in BPC/Websrvr/bin.
End of the note.
Enter a task description, select an appropriate icon, then click OK.
Drag the icon to the designer window. Enter data as required.
Save the package.

Need help in deleting the data load request

Hi All,
In the system one erroneous data load load request is being generated( whoes status is monitor without Request), because of this I am unable to activate other requests...
I want to delete this request, I am deleting it but it is not, it is still remain in the system, and i am unable to activate it as it is an erroneous one, I have deleted that request from the backend table RSMONICDP as well, but still no successful results.
Please give ur suggestions on this.

There is a possible solution for these kind of issues .
1. Note that bad request number
2. Go to SE16
3. Open table RSODSACTREQ.: Filter the contents by that request number . There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
4. Open table RSICCONT. There will be one entry for that request . Delete that entry
5. Open Table RSMONICDP. Filter the contents by that request number . There will be 3-4 entries for that request depending on number of data packages in that request .Delete all those entries

How can I delete all delta request and init from InfoCube?

We are working with an extractor that support deltas, but we are presenting problems with it, some changes in the data are not displayed. For this reason we are thinking change this type of processing and make a full load (with the full updating the changes are shown).
For this reason we need to delete all requests of delta and its init. But in manage option of the infocube we cant see the init and the first deltas.
If I delete the initialization information at info package (menu option scheduler-> initialization). With this only we will delete the Initialization. I need to delete the data in the infocube.
I would appreciate your help.

You can either display all the requests in the manage tab and delete from there. Or you can use the Automatic Request Deletion option in the Data Target tab of the InfoPackage. See here for details:

How can I delete all loads for a specific infopackage in a process chain?

I've got a BW 3.5 system. and I have a cube which is loaded by two infopackages, I will call them "Current" and "History" which load each month. On an ongoing basis I only want one "Current" infopackage load and many "History" infopackage loads. At the beginning of a month before I load a new "Current", I would like to delete any loads in my cube that were loaded by "Current". It's not an overlapping selection request, so the automated delete won't work - so I'm open for suggestions.

In the InfoPackage settings - Data Target tab, use the Automatic loading of similar/identical requests option.
Instead of deleting "overlapping", you can request selection through the routine using the following tables:
rsreqdone contains the request numbers and the InfoPackage technical name.
rsseldone contains request numbers and their selection criteria.
Use something like this:
TABLES: rsreqdone, rsseldone.
DATA:   itab_rsseldone TYPE rsseldone,
        itab_rsreqdone TYPE SORTED TABLE OF rsreqdone WITH NON-UNIQUE
        KEY rnr WITH HEADER LINE,

Can't Delete Data in One Month in a calculated currency EPM 10 NW

Good Morning,
I have an issue with data in my system. We are having issues deleting data from our calculated currencies for the month of January. We load our data to LC and then run currency conversion to populate our USD, CAD, etc report currencies. We run a nightly compression on the data. We needed to adjust some numbers in LC and run currency conversion. When I ran the currency conversion the data in the calculated currencies did not update with the new LC balances. So I tried to delete the data in the calculated currencies and then re run currency conversion for the time period. But when I tried to run the Data Manager Package it did not clear the data. It gives a succeeded message but when you look at the Package Log it shows 0 records cleared. I then tried to upload zero's to the same data intersections and it did not work either. I got a success message but the data did not delete. I have had my BI guys check the back end lock tables and nothing is locked. We don't use work status so there are not any work status locks on that month of data. I don't think it is the Data Manager package becuase I can run the same DM package on any other time period and it works. If anyone has any ideas of things that could be causing this I would really appreciate it.

Unable to find the master data loaded request in manage tab

Hi All,
Iam unable to see the loaded request in the master data manage tab after some time of loading.
Immediately after loading i could see the request.If i revisit the manage tab,iam unable to see the request.
However data is available for the info object .
Can anyone please suggest on this.

hi Devupalli,
Note your request number, find it using RSRQ tcode. Now click on the target icon and see if it takes you to the manage of your infoobject.
There is a very common error which we sometimes make: are u sure you're checking the right thing? please check that if your infoobject has text, attribute and hierarchy, you're checking in the manage of the relevant one.
For ex, if you're loading text, you have to go to manage of the text.

Hi,
I can tell you the most common reasons of these failures.
1. request everything ok
Here it will be telling you if the request was properly send to source system and got triggered there.
2. extraction everything ok
In this step the actual extraction of data happens, issue slike sysfail or CPIC error may cause this to fail.
3. transfer (idocs and trfc) error occured?
When extraction is complete and data is being send to BW. But if dur to some reason it fails, error may come here.
4. processing
Processing in BW fails for each data packet is displayed here.
This can also happen when you have sysfail in source.
5. process chain
This can show the logs of the chain here and also status of subsequent process.
6 other messages.
Any other error message.

Master data loads Request not updated to any data target using delta

When checking the PSA the request updated ICON has red triangle and the mouse over says
"Request not updated to any data target using delta".
I am doing full loads for text data and both full and delta's loads for Attributes. This is BI 7.0 system but the loads are still from 3.1. DTP has not been implemented yet. The system was just upgraded in July. I am unable to schedule deletes from the PSA for successful loads. However, I think the data is updating to the info objects. My Info package has the selection to PSA then in the InfoObject package by package.
How do I schedule the deletes from PSA and why does the Request updated show red but the monitor for the info package show green?

The load has not failed but I am unable to delete the load from the PSA.
If you do a manage on the Data Source or go to PSA from RSA1 the first column has the green gear icon instead of a green check mark I have red triangle the mouse over says "request not updated to any data target using delta" The data has loaded to info object. I am trying to schedule deletes from the PSA and using the option to "delete only successfully booked/updated requests" So how do I get the request updated column to show a green check mark so my deletes will Process? This is for master data only. My transactions load fine and delete properly according to my settings.

I am loading a standard cube from r3 w/o PSA through DTP.
1 ) how to delete data automatically from cube w/o using Process chains.( previously we have a facility in Infopackage to delete old loaded data ) .In BI7 how to delete the same automatically.
2) How to schedule the DTP to run on daily basis( w/o process chain ) .I am not able to schedule it via RSRDA ?
What might be the reason ?

I'm curious as to why you aren't using the process chains. There's now a "delete overlapping request" process type within rspc.
You are right thought, the DTP does not offer a facility to delete out the old loaded data. This feature is not in BI 7.0
As for scheduling a DTP to run daily, there's no way I know of to run it daily without rspc. Yes I understand that rspc could get very messy but just create a separate holding area, say DAILY DTPS and put your DTP's in there.
