Can't delete files in open office org writer

{color:#333399}*Hello!*
I have open office org 2.4 with OS winexp pro
IE7.
I was backing up files from my documents in org writer
* onto a cd, but found that the files were also _going to my*
docs as a copy.
When I right clicked on the copied files in my docs, and
then clicked  "delete,"  they went back to my docs as
further copies (1 2 3 etc) as I tried to delete them.
Can you please tell me what I should do to handle this?
Thank you
Tassie{color}

Gmatos, when I high-light and drag file from iTunes to my trash the usual promt of "do I want to remove it" followed by by the uual "do I want to keep the file or remove that from my library" comes up too. I click "dont keep file" and it is gone from my itunes and my library an my HD. It's exactly the same as it's always been except annoyingly this is the only way I can do it as the delete button just doesn't work in this latest version.
Hope this is clearer for you.

These are the "out of the box" file formats that you can view on the iPad as mail attachments. If the file is not listed here, you cannot view it without a compatible third party app. What is the file extension?
Viewable document types: .jpg, .tiff, .gif (images); .doc and .docx (Microsoft Word); .htm and .html (web pages); .key (Keynote); .numbers (Numbers); .pages (Pages); .pdf (Preview and Adobe Acrobat); .ppt and .pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint); .txt (text); .rtf (rich text format); .vcf (contact information); .xls and .xlsx (Microsoft Excel)

  • Embedding Open Office org in a Swing frame

    Hi friends,
I am doing a project in open office org and java.
I have to bring openoffice writer in to java frame. and i have to add additional tools like player etc.
It is a client/server aplication. User machine already installed with Open Office (*May be installed at any directory* path). Client application is loaded from server via webstart/applet and locates and starts Open Office org process and then load and embed it in to the application frame.
For this i have used OOoBeanViewer.java (smmple code) which came along with sdk and edited.
It is working from the command prompt but NOT working from applet or webstart. Iam getting the following error
I have posted this question in oooforum but didn't got solution. If any one have the solution plz let me know.

Hi I'm new in the community and I don't have an answer for you question by now...
I'm writing you because I'm starting to work on a new project in witch I'll need to develop a textual editor (just to create textual or latex sources) for a Swing application and I read that you have done something like this using Open Office Writer.
I'm very interested to this solution but I can't find, by now, anything usefull such as documentation or examples. In the OO forums someone talk about OOBeans but no API or documentation is provided.
Please could you help me? How can I integrate OO Writer into a Java component (JComponent but also JFrame)?
    Thanks for all

  • Associating .doc files with open office

I have open office installed on my iMac. When I open an MS Word document using the basic File--->Open it opens it with no problem.
However, when I click on it I get an error dialog that says the "script could not be run because.
    -43"
How can I associate documents with open office?
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

What version of OO are you using? Are you using some sort of OO launching script? Do you have the current version of X11 installed?
I don't use OO rather I use NeoOffice Aqua because it doesn't require the use of X11.

  • Ok, so it appears that my photo gallery and video gallery decided to delete themselves? Is there a trash can or deleted file where I can recover them? Please help

Ok, it seems that my photo gallery and video gallery decided to
delete themselves. Is there a way to recover them perhaps from
a trash can or deleted file? I have a Android

    appreciate your reply
    1. i do not see a trashcan iconwhen i open the photos.
    2. the photos are NOT in the 'camera roll' they are in a folder called 'iPad photos' (which is in the 'albums' section of the iPad)
    3. i have re-set the iPad numerous times in order to try and resolve this. each time it is the same - no trashcan.
    4. i have no method of 'moving' the photos to another folder - only the option to 'add to' a 'new folder'. since thsi won't delete the original photos, there is little point in trying this.
    5. i'm guessing your next suggestion will be to completely back up and re-set my iPad? is that really what i should be doing here? surely... surely.... please, this should be a simple - select>trashcan>delete process and not something i have to spend half my working day trying to resolve! seriously, seriosly, unimpressed with Apple over this issue. it's about time that Apple gave the power back to the user on devices like these. i can understand now why people jailbreak their iPads... there rant over - but please consider my feelings over this issue.

Switch to the Finder app and open its preferences.
Remove the check mark on the items you don't want displayed in the Sidebar tab.
The originals are not removed from the machine.

The startup disk is the internal SSD in your MBA.  You may delete files by draging the file  to Trash (or clicking on them and then execute COMMAND+Delete).  Then empty Trash.

I can´t delete files in trash . It stops after a short time undone.
What can I do? There are 52 files in trash, but if I click the button "sure empty" it shows 11.313 files to delete .
I would be very greatful for your help!

Stronger medicine may be needed, but try this first
Force the Trash to empty using the Option key
This technique uses a hidden feature of Mac OS X to force the Trash to empty. Perform the following steps in the order specified:
Press and hold the mouse button on the Trash icon in the Dock. The context menu for Trash will display.
Press and hold the Option key or the Shift-Option keyboard combination,
Select Empty Trash from the context menu for Trash.
Release the keys pressed and held in step 2.

You are posting in the iMac PPC forum, but it looks like you have an Intel Mac. Get Trash It if you have an Intel.

  • How can I get files to open automatically upon download?

I would like files I download to open automatically and for the download window to be turned off. I know how to turn off the download window, but cannot get files to automatically download.

Hi JJMack. Thanks for getting back to me.
I think I've created confusion about what I want. All I want is to end up with a file that is flattened so that I can save it as a tiff without getting a warning that it contains layers. Please correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve always assumed I should always flatten a file before I save it as a tiff unless I specifically want to retain layers or transparency. I’m only talking here of files that open with a single layer: ie. Layer 1. I assume that if I don’t flatten such files the resultant files will be unnecessarily big?
The only reason I keep saying I want a Background layer is that I know that a flattened file will only have a Background layer. I don’t have any desire for a Background layer per se. I certainly don’t want to add extra layers - quite the opposite.
So perhaps the question I should have asked should have been:
How can I get files to open 'ready-flattened' by default so I can save them directly to tiff without having to manually flatten them every time?
    Cheers
