Can't delete game

Hi, I'm using parallels desktop to run windows xp. I installed a game some time ago and had problems so decided to uninstall it. The problem is that although the game was removed using the Add/Remove software program the game files, although not visible anywhere in windows, they are still in the hard drive and take a considerable amount of space. My question is how can properly erase the game files, without damaging my windows image or any of the files on it? If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

Run Parallels Compressor to reclaim the space.
Otherwise, since Parallels is not made by Apple please post further related questions on the Parallels forums, as Apple discussions only provide support for Apple products:

Deleting the App Store app from the Dock is not really a solution though is it? This issue has nothing to do with whether you have auto-updates on or not either.
The problem is worse than just the red badge on the app's icon in the Dock, the problem is every time you go to the App Store Updates section to manually install updates -- to other apps, OS X, or whatever, that **** iMovie app is still sitting there waiting to be updated too. You can't really use the "Update All" button now because that will also try to update iMovie, again.
Surely there must be some way to remove the iMovie app from the Updates section of the App Store? I thought hiding/removing it from the Purchases section of the App Store would do that, but it doesn't. It looks like a bug in that the App Store doesn't realise the update is incompatible with the hardware until after you click the Update button. It should know up front that it isn't compatible with this machine and not show it.

  • HT4314 Can you delete game date on a Game Center account?

I'm new to this but basically I want to restart a game I'm playing (Animal Voyage - Adventure Island), I have tryed resetting my Ipad and uninstalling the game but it keeps taking me back to the same point of the game, so I'm assuming its because the data is saved to my game center account.
    Any help much appreciated.

Apps are always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase/download them. They can't be transferred/shared with another Apple ID.
Since you will be the user of the app, just purchase it.
     Cheers, Tom

Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings

  • Can't get game to play so deleted it.   now can't reinstall.     says it is installed

can't get game to play so deleted it.   now can't reinstall.     says it is installed

If you type in its name on the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) does that find it ?
If it doesn't then have you tried a reset to see if the game then shows on the iPad's homescreen, or as not installed in the App Store app, after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You don't download games from Game Center, you download them from the AppStore.
Touch and hold on the icon until it jiggles, then press the X to delete.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to Apple.
Nonoe of the built-in apps can be deleted. If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html - until if/when you can hide or delete it then you could move it into an app folder where it's less visible

  • How can you delete downloaded games from a Macbook Pro to create more available space?

it says I have 0KB available... how do i get rid of downloaded games to create extra space on my computer?

Start by dragging the games' applications to the Trash and Empty the Trash. See, also:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.

  • I want to know how to delete game apps from my macbook pro also can i trust any macbook cleaners or keepers?

I want to know how to delete game apps from my macbook pro also can i trust any macbook cleaners or keepers? My mac seems to be running a bit off.

To delete any type of app you need to open the Finder window and highlight the app you want to delete by moving it to the trash. Empty the trash and it's gone. There are some Apple provided apps that cannot be deleted but you should not have any issue with the games.
As for cleaners, I personally don't use them but the 911 and Mackeeper are very popular and I hear work pretty well with Macs.
