Can't delete music from iTunes Match

Hi All,
I'm having trouble deleting Music from the iTunes Match, I have followed this guide iTunes Store: How to delete songs from iCloud - Apple Support with no luck.
I'm using iTunes version 12.0.1.26.
After I delete all my music, all the music is still visible on my iPhone... I've tried to click the update iTunes Match option and all the music appears in my library in iTunes again.
I have tried:
Signing out and in again.
Turning iTunes Match off and on again.
Deleting the iTunes library folder and adding a new one.
Clearing the cache.
De-authorising all devices and re-authorising them.
Anyone got any ideas?

I mean mark as deleted... It seems to have sorted it's self out now.

How can I edit or delete music from itunes match?

    Hi,
If you activate match on your new laptop, you will have access to all music that you matched or uploaded. You have the option to retain the music by downloading to your computer. If you delete music, it will delete from cloud.

  • How can I delete albums from itunes match

Can you tell me or do you know how I can delete albums from iTunes match please

    I've got a similar problem.
I know the way how to delete but it didn't work.
When I delete a song with setting the "delete this song from iCloud" option, it seems to be deleted but after syncing it still exist!
    For example:
Before deleting I've got 761 songs in Match
I delete 10 songs with "Also delete this song from iCloud", empty the trash can and start match sync
After 2 Minutes iTunes Match told me, there are 761 songs available - nothing will be deleted at iTunes Match

  • HT204406 My HDD crashed which held all of my music.  Can I recover the music from iTunes Match and download it back to a new HDD?

My HDD crashed and it contained all of the music from which iTunes and iMatch pulled files from.  Is there a way to recover the music from iTunes Match and download it back to my new HDD?

My computer HDD did not crash only my external drive with the music files.  I have not had to reinstall iTunes software.  The iTunes libarary is still complete and shows the complete list of music.  I have also ran Update iTunes Match and all of the music is on the cloud.
I cannot play the music from iTunes that is on the cloud, however the music I purchased from iTunes did download and it will plan from my computer.
The matched or uploaded music is what will not download and I can't find a command that allows me to download from Match.
Sorry if I'm not being very clear, however I do really appreciate your help and suggestions.

  • As of today I can no longer delete music from iTunes.

    Hello friends!
I can't seem to delete music from iTunes 10.(whatever the latest version is) or on my iPhone4. I just want to change what I have on my iPhone, but then I realized that it may be an issue with iTunes after I tried to delete something there.
I only know of two ways to delete music. One is to select/ highlight want I want to delete and select the delete funtion in the edit part of the bar. The other is to do the Command D shortcut. Neither of these work as of today. Yesterday it did indeed work for I changed some stuff before work.
I am nothing of a techy sort. Here is some info, but it may be invalid.
*I have an eMac running Leopard.
*iTunes 10.4 (I think) last update a few days ago.
*iPhone 4...updated today with the new updates.
*I have my music saved on an external harddrive. I have the folder set up to put my library there.
*Edit/ Delete doesn't work, neither does Command D.
This is the only issue I've ever had. Any suggestions?

It could be an issue with permissions on your system.
I would suggest beginning your troubleshooting by running Disk Utility (In the applications--> utilities folder), and choosing "Repair Permissions".
You should also check to see if the music has a little exclamation mark next to the song -- that means it isn't able to find your music, and you'll want to doubleclick the song to make sure it plays okay.
Secondly I would suggest you run Disk Utility again and this time you run it on your external drive and select "Repair Disk".  That will check your external drive for problems.
My guess is that your iTunes Music Library file inside your User folder--> Music folder is damaged.. but see where you get with the Disk utility repairs first and let us know!

  • You can download individual tracks and delete music with itunes match on

You can delete music with itunes match on:
settings - general - use - music - all music
in the right corner above you can click on edit and choose delete.
You can also download individual tracks:
click on the "cloud download" icon in an album. It displays the icons to start downloading. You can tap on stop of the songs you don't want to download and then those songs won't be downloaded.

unfortunately the delete method deletes all the music you downloaded, not possible to delete individual tracks

How can I delete music from my iPad Air other than one song at a time? I would like to delete a few albums.  I am still on iOS 7.

You can either sync the iPhone and iPad to a computer that has your music on it and make sure the U2 album is not on the computer. Or you can delete all of the music from both devices (settings > general > usage > manage storage > music. Then redownload your music from your purchase history on the iTunes store
Also the U2 album is attached to your apple id. To remove it, you will need to go here ---> https://itunes.com/soi-remove

  • How can I download songs from iTunes match to my iMac

How can I down load my music from iTunes match and play it on my iMac without having g3 or wifi?

    Hi tkattan,
iTunes Match is ran strictly off of Wi-Fi or a Cellular connection. Devices with iTunes Match turned off can have both the computer and device without any connection to the internet to download music via USB. However, iTunes Match is ran off of iCloud—a Wi-Fi/Cellular based product.
If you would like to download a song on your device connected to the internet:
Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a Cellular Network.
Make sure your device is running iOS 5.0 or higher (only iDevices can run iTunes Match).
Go to "Music" and you will see music able to be downloaded from the cloud. (If you do not see your music, make sure you have General > Music > Show All Music "ON".)
Click the cloud symbol next to the songs you would like to stream them on your phone and without a Wi-Fi/Cellular connection.
    Hope this helps!

  • Can I download music from iTunes to 2 itouches

My computer with iTunes which my itouch was synced to crashed, literally died. I threw it out and had no back-up so lost everything on it (still don't know how to make backup). I bought a new computer, re-downloaded iTunes and my several days worth of music is now gone except for a few songs purchased so I am re-downloading my CDs which is a time consuming pain.
Here's my problem. My itouch only has one album on it (Chris brown's F.a.m.e.). I finally want to transfer my iTunes music to my itouch in case my computer crashes again and to listen to it there too which I hadn't done in the past. When I synched my itouch to iTunes it says I have to erase everything on my itouch first since I've never synched it to the iTunes on this computer before even though it is under my same exact account. This is do unreasonable and stupid. I have tons of pictures, videos, emails and apps I've been using my 64GB itouch exclusively for. My iTunes account is registered to this itouch and there's no way I want to delete everything on it years worth just to have access to synch to iTunes. Makes no friggin sense to me. I purchased a new itouch so I can download the music onto that. I've already spent hours and hours over a couple weeks every free moment downloading my CDs to iTunes. Before I crack open the new itouch, is it going to let me download my music onto it or only to my old itouch whose content I do not want to erase?? I'm frustrated is an extreme understatement as to how I am feeling. Any suggestions? Can I unregister my old itouch and register the new one to iTunes...WITHOUT having to delete all the music I've already downloaded? Can I download onto both my itouches since everything will be registered to me? Or do I also have to buy another computer, download a second iTunes, register the new itouch or ??

    1. My computer crashed. I smelled smoke, it no longer turned on, nobody was able to retrieve anything on it. It went in the trash with all my data on it - pictures, itunes, documents etc. I had never made a back up.
    2. I purchased a brand new Dell computer. I re-installed iTunes using my same username/password as the itunes I had on my old computer. All the days worth of music (non-purchased) were gone. I was told through a paid call by apple that I have to re-install all the non purchased items (my CDs) but they showed me how to bring over my purchased music.
    3. I spent hours and hours and hours re-installing all my CDs, several days worth of music. I then synched my itouch, and it is telling me that it detected a new computer, that it has to first erase everything on the itouch in order to synch and transfer the music onto it.
    4. I don't want to erease all the content on my itouch - pictures, videos, emails, etc. etc. Have had it for a while and not something I want to do.
    5. I purchased another 64GB itouch so I can synch that one instead.
    6. I haven't removed it from the box yet. My question is "Can I download music from iTunes to 2 itouches." If I crack open the box and synch the brand new itouch to the itunes on my new computer, registered to my old itouch, will it work? Will it synch and download the music to that device so that I don't have to erase everything on my old itouch - wich is not an option for me. I don't want to delete everything on it. I bought a new itouch so I won't have to delete everything and transfer it onto that. The itunes on my new computer is already registered to my old itouch. Had I known I'd have to delete everything to synch, I would've not used my old username/password, would have created a new one, a new account so I could sync it to my new itouch which I shelled out the money on just so I don't have to erase everything on my old itouch. So my question again - can I synch this second brand new itouch to the itunes on my compouter? I don't want to remove it out of the original packaging and find out the hard way only to then not be able to return it to the store. ANd if I can't and I don't want to delete everything on my old itouch, am I screwed and no longer able to use itunes?

can you download songs from itunes match from the cloud to your iPhone ie for times when you dont have internet connection?

Unless you have an Internet connection you cannot access iCloud. You can download your music from iCloud to store permanently on your iPhone, but only when you have an Internet connection to do so.

  • Post Restore, how to recover all music from iTunes Match?

    Hello,
I recently restored my iPhone 4S, and the back up went smooth. I restored the phone from a back up on iTunes instead of from iCloud (since it would be faster), and now I'm stuck - for my music, it won't restore it from my iTunes back up or iTunes Match. The music is visible with the cloud icons next to all my songs and albums.
I know that iTunes Match handles the music, and thus I can't control anything from the tab on my iPhone in iTunes, but is there any way to push all the music I have with iTunes Match back to my device?
Or do I have to tell my phone to download every album?
I feel like I'm missing some setting here, or some "Download All" option but I can't find anything.
    Thanks!

So... I figured I should try to turn off iTunes Match in iTunes, and on my phone. Tried that, synced again, and I can push my music from iTunes to my phone the old fashioned way.
Phew. I'll reenable Match after this is all sorted out!
Hope this helps someone else out in the future.

I want to delete songs from iTunes Match by unchecking them in my iTunes library on my Mac. Is this possible? If so, how do I change the necessary setting(s) in iTunes or iTunes Match?

I have seen this page, but it seems that this involves deleting songs from my iTunes library in order to remove them from iTunes Match. I want to keep them in my iTunes library, but not in iTunes match (I am over my limit for songs in iTunes Match, and would like to decide which songs to keep in iTunes Match).
