Can't delete old facebook messages

Hi,
I updated my facebook application recently, and now my phone is running very slowly. I have restarted the phone, and I have removed and replaced the battery. This hasn't helped. In addition I continue to get facebook icons, showing unopened facebook posts. When I scroll through all of my messages to find the unopened icon, it is the same one that keeps showing up. I open it. The icon goes away. I attempt to delete old facebook messages, and my phone won't let me. I have even tried to figure out how to delete the facebook app, but this isn't working. Anyone have any advice?

You can delete the Facebook application at Options > Advanced > Applications.
Scroll to Facebook and press the Menu key > Delete.
The, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:

1. Resetting a device such as your Z10 involves only removing the battery while powered on. You will lose no data or anything, it is a simple reboot, not a factory reset.
2. There is a known bug on deleting some Facebook messages. Basically, some won't delete and will continue to sync back.

Can't delete a Facebook message from Hub list

After a solid week of problems, my Z30 is or was fully functional...except I am not able to delete a pvt faceboook message on the the Hub list. It has been deleted on my fb page, but the greyed out fb icon and the message on the Hub does not respond to the pressing of the "This will delete the selected item" button....please, please, please don't tell me I have to do a factory reset after what I've already gone thru!....thanks for any help anyone can give me!....Bill

Arthur, OK that is easier...also, I was able to find another solution on the CB forum. Just go to Settings>Accounts>unselect sync messages. That gets rid of all the messages, then go back and select turn sync messages back on. That seems to be a reset that is a permanent fix. Don't know how I missed that setting to begin with...maybe age something to do with it? Anyway, thanks Arthur and I hope you have a merry Christmas!

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. inside mail, how do you find and delete old useless messages, there are thousands of them.

go thru all your mail boxes, and delete, all your synced boxes, highlight the stuff you want to trash, click delete.
Go thru all the boxes and do the delete, then go to your server trash, and delete.
You canthen go to on my mac and do the same thing.
This is way different than 10.6.8, and I'm sure there is a much better way to do this, but at least it will get rid of some junk.
Sorry this all I can offer.
I'm sure someone who has been working with OS can offer a much better path.

Can't delete old pictures

Is anyone have the same problem: I used iPhoto since a while.
I upgrade to iPhoto 09 last month.
Today, I am organizing my pics and I am unable to delete pictures !
I can delete fresh pictures (I mean picture I just uploade from my camera)
I can't delete old picture from 2-3 month...?
I delete and the spinning icon (for waiting) kepps on turning and the iPhoto freeze...
This problem occurs when I try to delete one our a group of picture.
I changed nothing in the parameters.
I haven't lock any file.

I am having the same problem, having recently switched from 08 to 09. I can't delete photos as the machine hangs up and shows me the dreaded beach ball and (not responding) message - I have tried different ways to delete and different numbers of photos, hoping one my be the source of my problem. I have rebuilt my libraries - all things that I see being recommended on this site.
It has hung up on me numerous times while trying to perform other tasks as well, such as batch changes or changes to dates and times, cut and pasting between events and related type tasks. Apple is getting a ton of messages from Force Quit. Any other suggestions? The only thing I haven't done is try to re-install. Getting pretty frustrating.

You can delete a file so you don't read them anymore but you can't delete your mood messages in remote computers the same as you cannot delete an email you sent to someone.

On the Mac Desktop version 6.6.0 all previous Mood text can be deleted by removing or better renaming the following file. If you rename it but find it did something you didn't like to Skype, you can get it back.

Home > Library > Application Support > Skype > keyval.db
Rename this file so Skype can't find it.
Start up Skype.
Skype will create a clean new version of the file.

I could see different possible ways to limit the database size on a LabVIEW DSC system.
a) You could limit the lifespan of your logged data to a certain time by adjusting the option 'Days to keep historical data' in the Tag Configuration Editor>Configure>Historical... tab.
b) You could use the Citadel Database VIs. Archive Database.vi would allow you to archive a database or a part (certain traces/tags, or certain time interval) to another location. With the archive option 'destructive', it would delete the source of the data from the original database.
Delete Traces.vi would delete a traces from a database.
c) The same/similar functionality you can have throught the Measurement and Automation Explorer and its Historical Data Viewer plug-in
b) and c) are NEW features of LabVIEW DSC 6.1!

HT1430 I can't delete 2 email messages. All others delete properly, however 2 will not delete no matter what I try. A pop up message comes up and says "cannot not delete"

I can't delete 2 email messages that I received on the same day from one of my email accts. I have **** down the device and reset the device with no resolution to the problem. I can forward these two messages to our other acct and it will delete from there but returns to my personal email again, repeatedly. All other messages that I have deleted from my acct delete properly. I get a pop up indicating that " the message cannot be deleted". How do I fix this?
