Can't delete or sort Attached Libraries....strange !

When I delete all the attached libraries in a form,
and save the form, they are back when I re-open this form.
I also can't sort the libraries in a correct order,
they are in a wrong order again when I re-open the from.

You probably have libraries atteched to a library. Only in this case - when u delete a sublibrary, but not the master one, next time it will be automatically re-attached, because it wasn't attached to the form directly, but to another library (which is directly attached to the form)
For the second question - there is no difference in what order you have the libraries in the list. So u don't have to even try to reorder.

since one week I have the C3 touch & type. It`s a very nice mobile phone. But I have a problem: I can not delete mails with attachment in the mail programm. Mails without attachment are no problem. I have an mailaccount from "1und1" (Germany). Has anybody an idea, how I can solve this?

The only way I've been able to delete them is to delete the email account from the phone, then add the account, again.
Pretty painful solution.

Better way;
Open System Preferences, go to Users, Groups, choose your profile, click on the picture and choose edit picture. Drag the picture from the frame and drop. This will eliminate a picture associated with the account.

Is it a USB hard drive? USB hard drives have the problem of not giving full speed if they are hooked up on the same bus as keyboards and mice. Double check your profiler to make sure that is not a problem. If it is Firewire, make sure there aren't other firewire devices in use at the same time. I recommend not only keeping a Time Machine backup, but also a clone, and if you do use Time Machine, to make sure the Time Machine drive or partition is at least twice the size of the original drive.

The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

How can I delete an email with a huge video/movie attachment. It is jamming my email and won't delete.

I received an email with a huge attachment of a short (30 sec) movie. I can't delete it and it seems to have jammed that email address. When I try to delete other messages they keep reappearing even after emptying the "trash". What can I do to delete this huge email? I have shut down the iPod Touch (OS 4.2.1) and restarted but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have already read and deleted the email from the same account on my laptop. And the message is still on the iPod. I gave up on trying to delete the message, mainly because it is such a huge file that the iPod would shut down each time before the task could be completed. By giving up on deleting the message, and turning the iPod off overnight, the everything seems to have settled down and all other emails are coming in and able to be deleted, forwarded, etc. So my one option is to just leave that message on the iPod and ignore it even tho it is using a lot of megs of storage.
Another thought I had was deleting that email address from the iPod and adding it back in later. Does anyone know if simply deleting the email address would get rid of all the messages for that address? I'm reluctant to try it just yet, but welcome any suggestions on that approach.

Someone sent me a photo as an attachment. When I click on the email, TB freezes. I can't do anything. The first time she sent it, it went to a folder and I just deleted the folder, but she sent it again and it went into my inbox. How can I remove this email from my inbox? The minute I click on that email, TB freezes so I can't delete it. TB is still running when I check the processes.

I could not do that. As soon as I clicked the message, TB froze so I could not right-click or anything. As it happens, I just tired selecting the email before it and the email after it and then deleted all 3 and that worked. Thanks so much for your suggestion though.

Hi all, how can I delete an attachment from a received email but save the message?*

Over the years this issue crops up again and again. Here are the cases I know about:
Case 1 - it simply doesn't work
I have a message in my inbox with a jpeg of about 300Mb. Select message, choose option "remove attachment" which is not greyed out, and it does not work.
Case 2 - it works if you save the message first
I move the message from the inbox to a mail box. Open the mailbox (select), select the message, choose option "remove attachment", result: the attachment is removed, a small text file is added and an error appears in the message "missing plug-in". The message size is reduced from 300Mb to a few bytes.
Case 3 - the option "remove attachment" is greyed out.
I've googled this at least 10 times and read all the advice about editing various files from the library and all the other hacks. The simple truth here is that the user should not be inconvenienced by such inappropriate behaviour. We're not used to this from Apple any more, not since OS X. Even Windows does this stuff painlessly. In fact this kind of function is something that Outlook and Exchange do incredibly well. If they didn't the corporate world would have ground to a halt.
My point: the remove attachment option should work all the time and should be redesigned. Right-click + save as + delete in the message would be a hundred times easier.

can't delete email with a 9 mb attachment from iphone(3gs, software v 4.3.1) -- every time i try to delete the email with a swipe it shows the red delete button on the right but then freezes for a while and then the delete button disappears but the email does not. when i go through edit function and mark it for deletion, the same thing occurs.

You can delete the empty one by dragging it to the trash ( test everything before emptying the trash)
Merging libraries requires iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - it is the only current solution to merging libraries

I have successfully merged multiple iphoto libraries using iphoto-manager. Now I have multiple albums noted with the old iphoto names. CAN I DELETE THOSE?

You can do what ever you want - in iPhoto albums are simply pointers to photos so deleting an album has no effect except the album is gone - only when you delete from events or photos view is the photo deleted from the library and disk (after you empty the iPhoto trash and the system trash)

Composing a new email message, can't delete attachment

While composing an email message, I attached a file. Realizing I attached the wrong file, I couldn't find any way to delete it, and attach the correct file instead. I had to create a brand new message in order to attach the correct file.

I played around with it some more, and have discovered what is really going on. After you add one or more attachments to a composing email, there are two different ways to select an attachement. One way is to click on the icon (the cursor will show as an arrow pointer). You can then do edit - cut, and remove the attachement. Another way is to click on the name of the file below the icon (the cursor will show as a link pointer). This will open the file and move focus to the program that the file is opened under (for instance MS Word). That was what was confusing me. However, if you move focus back to Mail (by clicking on the email you are composing) the attachement will be selected, and you can either use the delete key, or use edit/cut to delete it.

USB drive - Can't delete strange files

I use a Toshiba 8GB USB drive. I had been using it for my PC. When I recently bought my first Apple (MacBook Pro), I used this USB drive to transfer some of the files between my mac & pc. But now some of the folders on this drive have strange names e.g. " µÑ?:π\-.>é⌐*". When I try to delete these files or folders containing these files, I get an error saying : "cannot read from source file or disk".
Same thing happened with one of the files in the "Trashes" folder on the USB drive and I can't empty it now.
I have a few questions:
1) Do you know why I got these files in the first place?
2) Do I need them and therefore just not worry about them?
3) Can I delete them and if yes, how?

your best bet is to get any data off the drive that you want to save and copy it to a folder on your desktop, etc.
Then use disk utility and format the disk as fat 32, and user the erase option to zero out the drive.
once that is done, move your data back and enjoy.
