Can't delete other photo albums on my iPhone4

Sync my PC with my iPhone 4 through iTunes. So it transferred ALL my photo albums from my PC to my iPhone. ( its a waste of space that I don't need). And I couldn't delete it. No options to delete the new album on my iPhone. But could ADD new album. It needs new update for iPhone 4 to have an option to delete new albums!!!!

You'll have to deselect the albums you don't want on your phone in iTunes/photo pane and sync again to let iTunes take them off.
Only photos taken with the phone can be deleted on the phone.

You can turn off photo stream via Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream 'off' , I don't think that it is possible to remove individual photo stream photos. From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486 :
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.
After deleting the photos from your Photo Stream in iCloud, you can remove the Photo Stream photos from your devices as follows:
On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream and turn Photo Stream off. This will delete all the photos from your Photo Stream album. If there are any photos you want to keep on your device, make sure to add them to an album or save them to your Camera Roll first.

  • I can't delete 2 photo albums from my Ipad 2...  What am I doing wrong?

I can't delete 2 photo albums from my Ipad 2...  What am I doing wrong?  I go to the photo app, then albums and 2 show up, I tap edit and nothing happens...  I just want to delete these...

How did they get on the iPad ? Only albums created directly on the iPad can be deleted via the Edit button.
Albums/photos that were synced from your computer can't be deleted directly in the Photos app - you either need to move/remove/de-select them from where they were synced from on your computer and re-sync, or you might be able to delete all synced photos/albums by swiping across the 'Photo Library' line in Settings > General > Usage > Photos & Camera (that should give you a Delete button, but I haven't tried tapping it to see if it works).

  • I can't delete a photo album that was synced on iTunes.

I can't delete a photo album that was synced on iTunes.  I deselected all photo albums to sync on iTunes and the albums are still on my iPad.  I did a search for this issue and a suggestion was loading some other software onto my PC to delete them.  I'm not sure I want to do that.  The album is stuck on my iPad and iPad Mini.

Are these folders that are no longer on the computer? I see you unchecked the albums, but the sync did not change things. Try this:
In the folder where you have your pictures, create a new folder and leave it empty. Deselect all folders to sync except that one. It should remove everything else from the phone except that one folder, and since it is empty, there should be no photos left except the Camera Roll. Then you can Deselect that empty folder and sync and you should no longer have any photos synced to the device.

  • How can i delete a photo album that has been synced from another computer

I am trying to delete a photo album that I do not need anymore from an iPad 4. But the album has been synced from a computer that I don't have access to anymore. Is there anyway around this ?

Photos that were synced from a computer can only be deleted by connecting to a computer's iTunes and changing the sync selection on the device's Photos tab.
Is that the only album that was synced from that computer (and you now sync the iPad to a different computer ?), or do you have other albums from it that you want to keep on the iPad ? If you want to keep one or more albums on it then they will need to be on the computer that you sync to so that they can be selected on the Photos tab and re-copied to the iPad from that computer. If you want to remove all synced photos then try selecting and syncing just an empty folder

  • Can't delete a photo album seem I don't have a delete option in edit

Just updated my Iphone to the newest ISO5 and ICloud......everything went well but now I have 2 additional photo albums which are duplicates of all the photos in my Photo Library. I check the user manual and it said I could delete them in Photo Album Edit....but I don't have that little red ( - ) delete icon next to the album when I open edit. Any suggestions or options?
    Thanks Carol

All photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process are stored in the Photo Library. If multiple folders or albums of photos are selected to be transferred, the folders or albums of photos will be available below Photo Library with all photos stored in Photo Library. The photos in the folders or albums below include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library - the photos are not duplicated. This way you can view the photos in a folder or album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos in all albums by selecting Photo Library.

  • How can i delete a photo album synced from a pc onto my iPad

I have copied some photo albums from a pc onto my iPad and now moved them onto my macbook by emailing them to myself. It now won't let me delete them from the iPad. There is no delete box, please help, its taking up a lot of memory. Thanks

Synced photos have to be unsynced in order to be deleted. Connect the iPad to your Mac, launch iTunes, select your iPad under devices, click on the photos tab, and uncheck the Sync Photos From heading in iTunes, then click on Apply and that will remove all of the synced photos.

  • How can I delete a photo album, I click on edit but do not get a delete option

    Hello
I am having great trouble in deleting a folder from my photo album, I click on edit but do not get an option to delete the content, it just opens up showing all content. My friends Ipad gives him the option to delete a folder, have I a problem with the device?
I note also that after adding a folder successfully, adding another folder overlays the former and changes the  title or adds only some photos causing a mixture of both folders with the same title. Has anyone any advice how to overcome these problems?
I would appreciate any help you may be able to offer.

  • Can't delete a photo album on my iphone 4S

    Hey everyone,
Everytime I go to send a pic message, and select "choose existing" for the photo i want to send, i get the albums I currently have, AND an album titled "Backup" subtitled "Shared by me" which has 25 photos I have already deleted. The photos don't appear anywhere else on my phone, or in Itunes.
Who knows how to get rid of 'em without wiping the thing clean??
    Thanks for you help!
    Teo

Thanks for the assistance!  Photo sync is never on, and there are no folders to replace anything on the phone.  I never sync photos (except for the one sync to move the two pics from my computer to the phone).  However I just realized that I may have come up with my first use of Time Machine since I started backing up with it a few months ago!  Maybe I can restore the folder I synced, then deleted.  At that point I'll see if I can turn photosyncing on, make sure the folder is selected, then remove the folder and perform another sync right away.  Maybe that will work?

  • How can I erase a photo album that was uploaded from an old computer that I don't have no more? I have other albums in the Iphone that I don't want to delete.

How can I erase a photo album that was uploaded from an old computer that I don't have no more? I have other albums in the Iphone that I don't want to delete.

If you sync with the new computer it will erase the current content from the iphone and replace with the selected content of the new computer.
The pics that you have taken with the iphone should be imported regularly to your computer as you would with any digital camera.  You can then organize them and sync them back to the iphone if you wish.
If you have had itunes perform a backup on the new computer, you should get the pics taken with the iphone back, but I would import them before trying anything.

I can't delete some photos in my album by using the trash button. How do I delete these pictures?

  • I added a photo from camera roll to a created album, how can I delete that photo from camera roll and still keep photo in album

I added a photo from camera roll to a created album, how can I delete that photo from camera roll and still keep same photo in album?

You can't. It doesn't work that way.
the new album that you created doesn't contain a copy of the actual photo. It contains a pointer to that photo. If you delete it from the camera roll, you will delete it from the album that you created as well. Albums that you create on the iPad in the Photos app are for local organization only and cannot be transfer or imported to your computer, because there really are no photos in those albums
