Can't delete sparsebundle and can't reformat TC

i am backing up my MBP to a Time Capsule (via WiFi) connected to my Mac Pro and i want to reformat the drive and start over. basically i have one sparsebundle from the mac pro on it and one sparsebundle from the MBP and i cannot for the life of me figure out how to delete the sparsebundle for the Mac Pro off this device.
i /can/ see this device in Airport Utility and in Finder but i am not seeing this device in Disk Utility on either my Mac Pro or on my MBP.
i have unplugged and regplugged in the Time Capsule.
am i missing something here or simply overlooking something?
also, if there is a good way to delete the second sparsebundle and simply keep all the older MBP backups i /suppose/ (though i am not sure) that this would be preferable to a reformat.

i /do/ want to just delete the sparsebundle if this means that i need to keep the laptop ON for the whole time (i have a feeling this is going to be like a day and a half) but ALSO i am wondering if deleting this sparsebundle will happen faster via an ETHERNET connection from the MBP to the TC as opposed to just doing this while i am on wifi.
The laptop OS must interact with the TC the whole time, you will need to prevent sleep or powering off... and speed of data back and forth affects how long it takes. so ethernet all the way.
I am getting old.. and I did a test recently just to see how long it takes.. over ethernet it was not terrible. But it was a small sparsebundle.. 100GB say.. larger backup longer time. If there are 7 zillion files.. then finder must say 7z times.. delete..delete.. delete.. ad nauseam.

Hi, can anyone help me with my problem?
I want to delete backup of my iMac from TimeCapsule to create a fresh new one.
But it seems not so easy.
I've turned off TimeMachine on iMac and tried to delete sparsebundle from TimeCapsule via Finder. Result is infinite waiting for removal in Finder dialog window.
I've tried to select 'no backup disk' in TimeMachine preferences but got the same result.
All software and firmware are updated to latest versions.
I cannot erase the whole TimeCapsule drive as described in other posts here because I have a backup of my MacBook Pro on it and I need to keep it.

I cannot receive emails on my ipad but I can send them. When I try to fetch emails a pop up box tells me to says verify your incoming email setting in settings. I have, it is correct as I am receiving emails on my iPhone with the same incoming address. I have tried deleting it and putting it in again but that does work. The wifi is working fine when using the Internet. Has anyone any ideas what is happening and how I can rectify the problem?

If you are saying that you both have iCloud accounts and use the same icloud ID, then yes, the contacts will be deleted. The idea is that all devices using the same icloud ID are kept in sync. You need to use different IDs. You can keep the same iTunes ID so you can share the songs and apps. But use different icloud IDs.

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

If you abandon one of the Apple IDs you will also basically be abandoning any content that you have acquired with that Apple ID. Content can only be updated and re-downloaded with the Apple ID that was used to buy it. Apple will not combine the content of Apple IDs and Apple will not transfer the content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID.

You can delete photo stream photos from iCloud by just deleting them on your iPod. My photo stream photos are automatically deleted from iCloud after 30 days anyway. Just so you are aware, deleting photo stream photos doesn't free up any space in your account as they don't use your personal iCloud account storage.
You can't delete music from iCloud because the music isn't stored in your account; it's stored in the iTunes store. What you are seeing are links to your previously purchased music in the iTuens store, allowing you to redownload them if you want to. You can't remove anything from your list of previous purchases. If you don't want to see these "iTunes in the Cloud" purchases in your song list, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn off Music under Show All. LIke photo stream photos, this music doesn't use any of your personal iCloud account storage.

Even if you could open Disk Utility you can't reformat a disk while you are booted from it. You will have to use the install CD. Ring the Apple Online Store at the number given at bottom left of this page and give them the serial number of your Mac. You should be able to get the Snow Leopard install disks for a nominal fee.

It's all rather odd because the old account cannot 'no longer exist' - if you don't have the correct password you won't be able to get into it, but you can't actually delete an iCloud account from the server.
I'm afraid you will need the services of iCloud Support. If you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

Tap and hold an app until they all start jiggling and an X appears in the icon's top left corner. One by one tap the X to delete the app. when they are all gone you are free to buy them again with your own account.

Since you can't delete Apple IDs and having multiple Apple IDs can cause confusion, what you may want to do is rename your existing Apple ID to the new email (desired Apple ID). That would in effect do what you want, get rid of the old and give you the new.

To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
