Can't delete/stop ongoing sync

I added an additional table to our sync and it's now been in the "processing" state for nearly 24 hours.  No data is coming over so it's not even at the data sync stage.  I've tried to both stop the sync and delete it and neither works.
 I then gave it a few hours and tried to start a new sync and then cancel that.  It's now stuck in a state of "canceling synchronization".  Is there some back door way I can cancel this?

I met with my client today and they've elected to pursue a solution outside of Azure.  When I told them that sync was still in preview and had been since 2012, the client pulled the plug immediately.  They are going to cancel their account so that
should delete the replication unless you've done that already.
I sold a whole solution to this client around Azure and this has been a major disappointment.  You  need to either pull out sync service completely or you need to finish it and put it into production.  This was not the first problem I've had
with sync trying to get this customer online.  I realize that a preview product is not production ready code but this barely qualifies as a beta product it has so many issues.

    Hi, I'm unable to make any changes to my 60gb Ipod without having to force quit :
    can't delete any music,
    won't sync,
    can't change photo's etc
    each time I have tried to restore factory settings through itunes - however every time I try (and fail) I have to force quit.
    Using USB not firewire, updated software, no problems in playback.
    Any ideas anyone?

  • Can't delete/stop problem execution??

    All, I have a job (RMANScript) to backup my database that is being reported as a "Problem" execution. When I click to view the details, it shows the Initialize piece worked, but the actual script running for 5 days now. I've tried to suspend the run and I get a success on the suspend, but it still shows a status of 'Running'. How can I get this ONE execution (recurring job) deleted from the repository without having to delete/recreate the whole job?

    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

    It's a game off of Big Fish Games, called The Red Riding Hood Sisters: Dark Parables. I was able to load it properly and play it for a bit. When it asked me to update it, I did, but it barely started before it said it couldn't be updated. It's still shaded though, and every time I click on it, it says it's unable to download. It doesn't give any reason. Because of this, I can't sync anything on my ipad. It's constantly on step three of transferring my purchases in itunes, and I can't edit any apps that I downloaded after this started happening.
    Note that I have the first genertion ipad, so there is a chance that it's just too old and I have to give it up. I don't actually expect Apple to pay any attention to anyone who doesn't buy their new things...

    I have unlinked all my devices from an old sync account and setup a new sync. In this process I have used the same email address as before.
    I have no use of my old sync account, therefore the question is:
    Can I delete the old sync account (via https://account.services.mozilla.com/ ) and - implicitly - all data associated with it without affecting my new Firefox account (and its data) in any way?

    Yes you can https://services.mozilla.com/delete-account/ and put in your username and password, and hit permanently delete your account. I personally wouldn't you never know if you may need it in the future.

  • IPhone app partially downloaded, can't delete it

    I started a download of a huge app and stopped it partway. Now I would like to delete the partial download, but the little X does not appear on the icon. I can't delete it via sync, either. Does anyone know the procedure for removing this partial download from my phone? Thanks

    OK i've had the same problem (but with an ipgod touch 4th gen). here is why, if you disconnect ur ipod/iphone to wifi and the app is partially downloaded then the app will turn grey and say waiting...
    do not turn off/restart your ipod/iphone, it only makes things worse.
    you have to go back to where you were connected to wifi/internet and wait for it to continue the download.
    you have to finish downloading an app to delet it.

    Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I already did all of these things. As you can see from the below screenshot, the language is already set. Also, this screenshot was taken in Safe Mode, so NoScript is not enabled. About:accounts still says I need to enable cookies for some reason. So, this solution didn't work....

    I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
    When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
    Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
    Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive.

    I had no problems with my ipod touch 4th, which I had for years.   Any help would be great.

I just carefully chose 30-35 apps to get rid of via iTunes, hoping it would sync to my devices, only to find I have to repeat the process on my iPad, take notes, then repeat it on my iPhone.     Here's the "Help" I got from Apple. They even quoted my question back to me then proceeded to answer with something very different and completely missing the point.
    I understand that you would like to delete the Apps. I know how eager you are to get the required information and I will be happy to assist you.
    You can remove individual songs, audiobooks, and videos from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. Removing an item from your device doesn't delete it from your iTunes library.
    To remove items from a device other than an iPod shuffle, first make sure that iTunes is set up to manually manage items.
    1. Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
    2. When the iPod, iPhone, or iPad icon appears in iTunes, select it.
    3. Unless your device is an iPod shuffle, click the Summary tab and make sure "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music" is selected.
    4. If the disclosure triangle to the left of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad (below Devices) is closed, click the triangle so that you can see the device's contents.
    5. Select the item you want to delete and press the Delete key.
    This was not helpful in any way and I am still unable to delete apps on my devices in a global, iTunes based way. Each device still requires its own independent process.

    Match was off.  I made all of the changes and then went through the "Turn on iTunes Match" option.  I now have deleted some tracks, edited the Metadata in CDDA, and then added it back.  This worked fine, but it is not a good solution.
    I just tried making some edits and use the "Update iTunes Match" and that seemed to work.  It looks like the real answer is that Match must be up and operational, then you can make changes and run the Update to incorporate the changes.  However, if Match has a problem then Signing Out and back in to your store account and going through the process of Turning On Match (were you get the questions, "Add this Computer to Match" will overwrite any changes. 
    Since this relies on the stability of iTunes, I won't be making a lot of changes between updates.
