Can't delete video on iphone5s

Hi Guys,
I downloaded a free video on itunes but decided to delete it. It took 3gig of space from my iphone. Now the problem is that after deleting the video on itunes,
I noticed that when you open the video app, the movie is still there with the icloud logo ready to be downloaded anytime. What's worse is that after deleting
the movie, im still losing 3gig of space. It was still 36gig and should have gone up to 39gig after deleting that movie.
Any solutions?

If Zevoneer's suggestion didn't work you can try just
clearing your whole library by pressing Ctrl+A & Del,
then adding it again by going File>Add folder to
library and add the folders you want.
If that still doesn't work (it doesn't let you clear
the library), uninstall then reinstall iTunes. That
should clear the library.
Well, looks like the simplest solution was the correct one. I tried to delete my library but it crashed when it got to the problem line item. So I ended up reinstalling iTunes and the line item was successfully deleted. (Now I get to recompile my library of 7400 songs and 200 videos. I'll get back with ya'll next month!)
Thanks for all the help everyone!

If these are purhased movies they are not stored in your iCloud account and cannot be deleted.  They are stored in the iTunes store.  What you are seeing are links to your previously purchased movies, allowing you to redownload them.
If you don't want to see these in the Videos app, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and turn Videos off under Show All.

  • Can't delete video line item from iTunes; crashes instead!

I have a line item for video in my iTunes library that I can't delete; it crashes iTunes instead.
When I right-click on the item, I get an error message that wants to send info to Microsoft before I can Clear it or uncheck it.
I've deleted the original video file and all other items in the library are responsive. I can still import music and video however when I try to sync with my iPod, it downloads everything until it gets to this line item and then iTunes crashes and closes.
    Frustrating... Any ideas?

  • Can't delete videos from iPhone on iTunes??? WHY? Help

    Hello.
I have iphone 5 and I unloaded videos some time ago, after that I deleted them on phone, but
when I open my iPhone in iTunes it still shows that movies and that space is used for them.
I can't delete them in iTunes, there is no such option.
Please advise what to do and how do delete these files properly?

They don't have a cloud icon next to them at all do they? If so they are stored in the cloud and not actually on the phone at all.
    Regards,
    Steve

  • Can't delete video and cant watch it either      T.T

i was syncing videos and then i clicked cancel and then i disconnected it properly, but the finshed videos deleted, i cant watch them and they take up 1.31 gb on my ipod

i my computer i deleted the videos
Do you mean that you deleted the videos from your iTunes library? Or did you delete them from wherever they were originally stored on your computer?
when i reconnected my ipod, it said that the synced videos that could not be accessed were taking up 1.31gb on my ipod
What is the "it" that said this? Was it iTunes? It sounds like iTunes was telling you that it could not find the videos you deleted from its library.
i tried to access the videos via the computer, but i couldn't
Because you deleted them from the computer?
now i can't delete the videos or watch them or even access them do you understand?
Delete them from what? If you deleted them from wherever they were originally stored on your computer and allowed iTunes to sync movies from its library with your iPod, they aren't on it either.

  • Can't delete video from iphone 5S

I have 2 videos with over 4 GB of space that I can't find or delete. I have no movies or TV shows on my iphone. I think it is a video my wife recorded on my iphone. How do I delete them? Thanks!

Apple does this annoying thing where your pictures and other media is saved in your camera roll and other albums that you can see when you go into Photos (not Camera) from the home screen. I've had some that you can't delete from the album by touching the phone itself. You have to connect the phone to iTunes and turn off those items or albums from being synced. Then with them deselected, go ahead and re-sync the phone. That was the only way I could get mine cleared off.

  • Can't delete video podcasts from 5th gen classic

I have a 5th gen. 30gb ipod classic.  I have about 3gb of video podcasts from itunesU installed and can't remove them because they don't appear anywhere on itunes except on the bar graph at the bottom of the screen.  My ipod is full and I need to remove them.  Can I delete them directly without using itunes, or is there a way to get itunes to recognize them.  itunes and ipod are fully up to date.

I was having the same problem. But I believe I found the solution. :]
    1. Once your ipod is plugged in, push SHIFT
    2. In the bottom left corner a icon will change from a + to a *
    3. Click this icon and a box will come up for a Smart Playlist.
    4. Enter the information: GENRE IS PODCAST
    5. Check box in front of limit to. Then enter information for limit to (A NUMBER WELL ABOVE YOUR SONG COUNT)(EX. 100000) and then ITEMS selected at RANDOM.
    6. All of your unfound podcasts (or whatever you wish to search) will be put into that new folder.
    7. Then simply click on the folder and press SHIFT and DELETE.
    8. Your video gb count should prove that the information was deleted.
I hope this works out for you. When I figured this out I was so happy, it was unbelievable. haha. Best of luck :] Jane

  • Recover deleted videos from iphone5?

I am trying to assist a colleague who has a video which has been deleted from an iphone 5 by accident. I know there are various file recovery programs for memory / usb based disk storage which can recover files which have been deleted but are still present on the card (ie just the header has been deleted but the file is present. Is there anything similar for the iphone / ios which may be able to recover the file?
    Thanks
    Nick

"They" claim this works...cost US $100. I have no idea if, in fact, it does:
    http://www.wondershare.com/data-recovery/iphone-data-recovery.html
    Good luck.
Apparently doesn't support the iPhone 5, at the present time.
However, your friend needs to turn his/her phone off & stop using it to have any hope of data recovery.

  • Is there a way I can recover deleted videos on my iPhone 5s?

My brother was trying to be helpful and trim the video but ended up deleting the part I wanted to keep and out of anger I went ahead and deleted the rest of it..It was something really important to me. It was my mom's reaction to her Christmas present from me, a 17 year old girl who had been working and saving up for just that. Is there any way at all I can get it all back? Also, no it is not in my photo stream and it was not saved. It all happened in that moment..

If there was no iTunes or iCloud backup from a time when it was still on your iPhone, it's lost, sorry. I feel your pain, I was trying to trim a Voice Memo of something important to me the other day, and trimmed the wrong part.

  • Can't delete video files

My friend downloaded one season of a TV show (10+ episodes). They are in her downloads and taking forever to download due to the size of the files in both standard and HD versions. She has tried deleting them but every time she opens up iTunes the files remain in her download folder. So far, she has read various blogs and itunes information. They all say she is stuck waiting for everything to download before she can delete. This could take weeks. How can she get them out?? I believe she has a fairly new Mac Airbook.

Flakey Windows Explorer. I d/l process explorer from microsoft and found that explorer.exe had the handle. I don't know why it doesn't release. Opening from Quicktime/RealPlayer rather than double click worked like a charm and no locking occurred. I'm switching to AVI as the nonstreamable auxillary file isn't created.

I deleted the file from the music/itunes/itunes music/movies folder but the name of the deleted file still shows in the music videos playlist. how do i remove it from this list?

  • Can't delete videos

Just bought a new iPad mini. When I was looking at the amount of space left on the device I noticed that it said I had 4 videos installed, except I didn't install any videos. On my computer the videos are there, but I did not tell iTunes to put them on my iPad. Where it says "sync" is Unchecked. To save space I am trying to remove them, but I can't find a way to do that. When I go to each video there is a cloud with an arrow pointing down, so it looks like they are not downloaded yet, except for the fact that they do play, so maybe they're streaming? Not sure, but I'd like to remove them from the iPad, while keeping them on the computer. How do I do this? Thanks.

Settings > Videos > Show All Videos is set to off.
Yes, as mentioned,  there IS a icon of a cloud with a download arrow next to them, BUT when viewing my space on the iPad it says there is almost 2 gigs of space being taken up by videos. How do I remove this?

  • Is there a way I can recover deleted videos from my camera roll, I didn't have a chance to back them up?

If I went in to an Apple Store would they be able to restore it for me?

If you do not backup with iCloud - you will not be able to restore them from that backup. Do you backup your iPad at all - with iTunes or with iCloud?
Going into iCloud.com will not restore anything from iCloud. The way that you restore from an iCloud backup is to erase the device, start all over again and reactivate and then restore from the iCloud backup when prompted.
Bottom line is if you do not backup with iCloud, it will not matter anyway, but this explains how to restore from a backup.
