Can't deploy bc4j add with jdev 903?

I cannot get jdev 9.0.3 to deploy a working bc4j app to 9iAS 9.0.2 - has anyone else had this problem? if so how did you correct the issue?

This combo is not supported.
That is, 903 BC4J being deployed to 902 OC4J.
I'm assuming you didn't edit the links in OC4J's config/application.xml that point to the 902 version of the BC4J
jars and other friends?
You can see from the application.xml that at least you'd have
to change these links to the 903 BC4J jars.
I also suspect that the xml parser version will also be a problem.
I haven't heard why, or the theory of why /jdev/lib/xmlparserv2.jar
seems to be a factor for running 902 vs 903 BC4j under OC4J???
What's your symptoms and log messages?

    Stefan,
Possibly dumb question but are your installers built for the appropriate architecture (32-, 64-bit)? Adobe is pretty picky about that with CC.

    Best Regard,

Applications that you build with JDeveloper 11g are normally aimed at WebLogic 10.3 servers.
They require Java EE 1.5 and JDK 6.

  • Help -- Can we deploy BC4J app to the OC4J in 9i DS?

    Hi Experts,
I have built an BC4J application using the Jdeveloper of 9i Developer Suite. The app runs fine within Jdev (using the embeded OC4J), and runs pretty well when it is automatically deployed to a stand-alone OC4J (9.0.2.0.0). Since the stand-alone OC4J does not "serve" reports, I had to "deployed" the reports to the OC4J bound with 9iDS. (All these stuff are on the same Win2000 machine, but different Oracle homes.)
Now, when I tried to deploy the entire application to the 9iDS-bound OC4J, it did not work. I used Jdev to deploy it to the iAS automatically (just like deploying it to the stand-alone OC4J), and the processes finished without any errors . However, when I pointed the browser to the app in the 9iDS server, I got the 404 error.
I compared a few configuration files, like server.xml, http-web-site.xml, application.xml, web.xml, etc. in the stand-alone and 9iDS-bound OC4J's and did not find obvious difference. The structure of the two applications directories are very much the same, too.
THERE IS an obvious difference in the two application-deployments directories though: On the stan-alone OC4J, there is a persistence\_pages subdirectory under my app home directory, which does not exist On the 9iDS-bound OC4J.
Anyone has any ideas on the whys and hows please? Thank you very much.

  • HOW CAN I DEPLOY BC4J JSP APPLICATION ON REMOTE OC4J?

    Hi,
I am using JDeveloper9iRC. I am trying to go through 'Oracle9i JDeveloper Reviewers Guide'. After having built business components and a JSP front-end I would like to deploy my application on remote OC4J (release 2). I started with the deployment of the middle-tier components as an EJB. It was a success, but I had to add the following line to application.xml file (because of JBO-28300: Piggyback read error):
    <library path="../../home/lib/bc4jdomorcl.jar" />
I also deployed the JavaServer Pages as Web Module - WAR. When I am trying to access the web application in a browser
    (http://hostname:8888/j2eeapp-3JSP-context-root/
OrdersView_BrowseEdit.jsp) I get an empty page. However, locally it works.
It looks like something wrong was with 'datatags.jar' library.
Is the following tag correct, if I have business components in different project than JSP:
    <jbo:ApplicationModule id="am" configname="bizlogic.BizlogicModule.BizlogicModuleLocal" releasemode="Stateful" />?
I would be grateful for every advice.

    hy wang.
    to deploy a simple jsp-project create a deployment-profile (WAR-File) in this project. -->file-->new-->deployment-profiles-->war.
now you need a connection to the oc4j where you want to put your files. this can be done in the system-navigation of jdev.
you then can rightclick the <myapp>.deploy and deploy the project to a selected oc4j.
don't forget to have a look at the jdev-help.
hope this helps you for the first.

  • Deploying to AS with jDev 10g using ADF

Hi everyone, could anyone tell me the steps to deploy an application in the AS, i'm using jDeveloper 10g ADF and in my application i have an jsp that displays info from a database, when i test it with the embebed oc4j from jDev it works great, the problem is when i try to deploy it to the AppServer, jDev generate and deploys my ear file into de AS but when i look into my web app properties (into the web module, war file) in the JSP/servlet options i can't see my jsp page. I supose that i'm not doing right my Deployment Descriptor. Any suggestion?? thanks in advance.
    Mauricio

    Hi Prasoon,
I'm not sure where your ADFdefault.do has come from.
But I'd suggest that rather than trying to create code based on an online demo (they are not really designed for you to follow every step, more as a taster) you follow this How To that documents and takes you through the development and running of a very similar web service using Struts.
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/howtos/10g/WS_ADF/ADFWS_HowTo.html
You don't have to use Struts to test and run a web service. There are other demos and Tutorials:
This one takes you through end to end development and testing:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/viewlets/10g/WS_End2End_Demo_viewlet_swf.html
    or this tutorial:

  • How can I deploy a jar with directory entries using deploy profiles?

    Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a jar file using deloy profiles, but the jar file deployed contains no directory entry. Why?
Is it possible to do that using deploy profiles?

    my project looks like this:
    src +
     - test
         +- Main.java
         +- Test.java
when I create a jar with 'jar -cf‘, I get something like this (with flat folders view):
    META-INF
    test
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
but when I use deploy profile to deploy a jar, I get this:
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
The directory entries are missing in the jar file.
    How can I fix this?

I tried to add more than just one Font using the ProfileManager on Mac OS X Server 3.1.1
There appears just one line to add one Font file. Do I need to combine all my fonts into one file to deploy it?
Don't see a way to add more Font Payloads.

I spoke to Apple's Enterprise support today about this problem, and the representative said that he is going to report this "issue" to Engineering. Not sure what this means, but I thought I would let you know.
If you are trying to deploy multiple fonts to iOS devices, they suggested that I use Apple Configurator, which is available for free in the Mac App Store...

  • Can't connect to database with jdev-no more data to read from socket

I have installed database 10g XE and everything was working fine(connecting from sql plus, forms builder etc.).Yesterday i opened jdeveloper for the first time(i am a total newbie in the world of oracle) and as being said in the tutorial i tried to connect to the database. So i was trying to connect to the hr sample schema and my first error message was ora-12505,this is an error that is sid related.Ok,i said and went to the forums and found a few solutions to this problem. After configuring my sid and local host i clicked on test connection button and got this message:NO MORE DATA TO READ FROM SOCKET! I tried finding solutions but they all seem java related and i can't really understand it.I am sure that i have configured everything(sid, host name, etc.) good because i am not getting error messages like before.Any help would be highly appreciated!!
p.s. sorry for my english it's not my first language
    regards

You now have two different ORACLE_HOME folders; 1 for DB & other for JDeveloper.
You neglected to specify OS name & version.
Make sure at the OS level that ORACLE_HOME is equated to the DB tree (not JDeveloper).

  • Can't Deploy an EJB with primary key of Type BigDecimal to a WAS 6.20

When using the DeployTool for the WAS 6.20, I get an error during creation of the archive, saying that the EJB's (CMP) primary key's class java.math.BigDecimal is not part of the JAR.
Any idea what the mistake might be? any help is appreciated.
    Thx
    Michael

    Hello Howard,
today I encountered the same problem.
I'm writing an application with a couple of CMP EJB's in relation to each other, similar
to the 'titan' sample application described by Richard Monson-Haefel - Enterpise JavaBeans.
I followed exactly his description for using undefined primary keys (java.lang.Object)
    on page 291 (third edition).
I'm still looking for the solution.
I let you know if I find the reason for that.
    Regards
    Stephan
