Can't detach attachments
I am using Mavericks. I do not know whether this is a recurring problem or a one-timer.
Today I tried saving an attachement, a PDF, from an email message in Mail. Mail goes through the motions, opening the save as dialog, and then does not actually save the attachment. I tried several times and no file in the folder where I tried to save it.
My workaround was to open the attachment from within the message, by double-clicking, and then saving from within Acrobat.
This seems like something Mail should be able to do as a matter of course.

This also worked except that when I tried to open the attachment on the PC I got a message that the mail wasn't fully downloaded. When I went on=line on the PC, it downloaded the attachment. No it is not. The only information synced regarding email accounts is the email account information only and this is in one direction only - from your computer to the iPhone via iTunes. -

First, go to iMovie/Preferences and enable the Advanced Tools.
Import the video clip into an iMovie Event. When you get ready to use it in an iMovie Project, select the clip in the Event and drag & drop it on top of a video or photo clip in the project at the place where you want it to begin. When the pop-up menu appears, choose Audio Only. -

Can you tell me a little more about your situation? I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. You authorize your computer to sync or download iTunes; you associate your iPhone with your Apple ID, not with iTunes.

After update I am no longer able to open email attachments by just clicking on the attachment. I now have to click control and then click open linked file. How can I open attachments by simply clicking on them?
Unless you believe middle-click is yours and don't like it being usurped, mine is set globally to "Enter".

Well, you managed to find this support forum didn't you and you have an internet connection don't you? Then if you have all these things, go and find the number by going to the Verizon website and it should not be hard to find the number.
As for speaking English, this is not really our problem and it is surely something that you should have thought about before buying the phone in the first place.
You also need to know that Verizon in the US is a cdma operator and if you purchased an iPhone 4s, then it should not be locked. The Verizon 4s comes with a sim card tray that should be unlocked out of the box for use internatinoally on gsm networks, so all you should need to do is open the sim card tray and insert a sim card and you should pick up the local gsm network.
A cdma phone does not actually use a sim card, so there would be no original sim card with the phone because when it is used in the US it will pick up the Verizon cdma network without a sim card. The sim card is only for use on a gsm network which will not work in the US, but is designed to work outside the US. Open the sim card tray and insert your own local sim card and the phone should work and should not be locked.
Other than this, if you purchased the phone in the first place, it is the responsibility of the previous owner to cancel the Verizon contract. This is nothing to do with you, so contact the seller and ask them.
Other wise, go to the Verizon website and look up the number and call them. As they are the phone company, ultimately, they are the only ones who can help you. -

Obviously, you are talking about the mail app, so force close the mail app and reset your iPad. If that fails, reset all settings.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
When you reset all settings, you will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. -

Can't Send Attachments Using Exchange Account
For some reason I can't send attachments using my Exchange account on my iPhone. Pictures, Word docs, Excel Docs, doesn't matter. They just get stuck in my out box and I get the following message, "Cannot Send Mail - An error occurred while delivering this message." I can receive attachments just fine, but cannot send or forward them. If I use any of the other email accounts on my phone, it works fine. The Exchange account is the only issue. Is this some limitation with Exchange on an iPhone or something? Anyone ever have the same problem as was able to fix it? Thanks!
I've got 38 iPhones deployed running the 3.1.2 OS against an Exchange 2007 server. Several of my users complain about the same issue, and I've seen it myself. I have found a workaround of sorts - I've found that if I've sent a message with an attachment and I get a failure to send, if I manually browse down to the Sent Items folder, that forces a replication of the Sent Items. The next time I do a manual sync, the e-mail with the attachment will go.
I presume this has something to do with Exchange trying to put a copy of the e-mail in to your Sent Items at the same time the iPhone is trying to send the message.
Potentially, this might be solved by turning off the option to always store your sent e-mails in the Sent Items. I have not yet tested that as a workaround as from a corporate standpoint and an ease-of-use standpoint, we want that e-mail in the Sent Items for reference.
If anyone has any success with this fix, please let me know. -

I upgraded to Firefox16 and since can't open attachments or jpegs in my yahoo email account. Yahoo claims that the problem is with my browser.

Are you sure that the attachment file type is a supported file? Can you open the attachment on your computer?
If the answer to both questions is yes - try quitting the mail app completely and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

Since I downloaded Firefox 4, I can't see attachments in my Yahoo mail. This is not a problem of Yahoo, because with Internet Explorer works fine. What is the problem?Ok, now they are showing. I restarted my computer again and they are showing now.

I have adobe acrobat 11 reader writer I want to use the pointer symbol on full screen instead of the hand, iwas able to do it on adobe 10 also when in full screen i can't open attachments unless i right click and open it then it boots me out of full screen is there any way i can click on the attacment without going out of full screen
I don't know why the change, but the pointer appears in the same way as it does on the main screen, not a pointer. There does not appear to be anyway to change it. You may want to submit a comment to the Features Requests: Acrobat Feature Requests. I also submitted this as a bug.
As a clarification, your "adobe acrobat 11 reader writer" is not informative. There is Acrobat 11 and Reader 11. Writer is not a product as such. So you have referred to Acrobat in a contradictory manner. In the future, please just indicate Acrobat 11 or Adobe Acrobat 11. -
I can't insert attachments or edit them from previous mails when I am in hotmail. The insert bar remains passive. My hotmail works fine using explorer.
The Yahoo! Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to invisibly extend downward over the top of the web page display area. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

I can't send attachments with Thunderbird?
I can't send attachments with Thunderbird. I can write a message but when I click on Attach, I get the message "Thunderbird has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." There is only a "CLOSE PROGRAM" button displayed and when I click on it Thunderbird stops running. I'm not sure whether this is a Thunderbird problem or a Windows 7 problem. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?
