Can't do calls
So i have had my tour for like a month & last night i tried to make a call & it would act like it would connect but then disconnect, if someone calls me i hear it ring but then when i answer i can't hear the caller & they can't hear me. i have verizon & i am really sick of going to the verizon store because this isnt the first issue i have had. i can text, BBM, get online, but calls aren't working. I tried *228, couldnt activate, i tried taking the battery out... did nothing, shut the phone off, did nothing. i am on a family plan & no one else is having issues (they dont have BB, but i know its not the bill being late or something). anyone else having similar issues or know what to do? otherwise i will have to go to the verizon store... again ick!

Since the *228 activation is one of the most basically required actions, accomplishing it is truly a prerequesite to everything else (yes, I understand that some things are working fine for you). Hence, your final solution (warranty service and/or replacement) sounds to be in order.

Could someone kindly assist in this?Contact your carrier. Phone functions are a carrier responsibility. Have them check your account. Are you seeing any error messages?

The screen is black . i can.t get it to respond.Power + home soft reset didnt work. Itunes could detect any sync apps. I used my home phone to call my iphone and on my home phone i can hear the calling tone.But my iphone didn't ring/screen did not light up. Its a iphone 4. Any ideas how to fix this?
If the basics (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) don't work, you'll need to bring the phone to Apple for evaluation

Two EX90 devices can make video calls over Internet with No VCS-C and VCS-E
Dear Experts;
I have just started TelePresence and VCS 2 weeks before by going through cisco docs and videos and I had taken a risk of implementing the infrastructure elements.
We are now implementing Cisco Tele presence with VCS-C, VCS-E TMS,TCS,MCU and End points with Jabber in One setup.
and in another setup CUCM 10.5,UCCX 10.5 IM&P,Jabber with some 10 agents.
Now the question is In our same building in 2nd floor we have one EX90 and in 5th Floor one EX90 and over LAN we can make video calls using IP address.
In the same way is it possible to make a video call between 2 EX90 devices present in different location in the same city over Internet without the involvement of VCS-C and VCS-E.

I have an iphone4 and I can only hear calls when I put them on speakerphone. The people I'm on the phone with can hear me I just cant hear them. I am about to try a master reset but how do i backup my contacts from my address book? Does itunes do that when i backed up the rest of the stuff on my phone?
Back it up in iTunes! Just make a backup of the entire device but make sure you check sync contacts and the option to add contacts from phone to address book on computer.

My iPhone 6plus will no longer connect to my Dodge UConnect system. Phone calls get a beep "phone call completed" message. Music will play though. Just can't make calls. Tried turning off iCloud and repairing but nothing works. It did work a few days

IPHONE 5: can't receive calls and random error messages, such as "could not activate cellular data network" and "no connection - network unavailable, please connect to wifi or cellular network." This occurs even when signal strength or wifi is operational, and it does not matter whether wifi is on or off. ATT went through the standard protocol - resetting network, resetting sim card, etc. No changes. Other phones working fine in same region with same carrier. Apple's solution is to restore software, but haven't gone there yet. Anyone successfully addressed this/these issues?
I should point out that it worked when the iPhone was set back to factory settings, but when restored with the backup, data/internet no longer works again, and I get the "Could not activate cellular data network" error message yet again.

My texts have stoipped getting through to one of my contacts. I can phone him and I can receive his calls and messages. I am the only one of his contacts whose texts are not getting through. We have both restarted our iphones but the problem continues.
Have you talked to your carrier (or your friend to his)? Could be an issue at their end.

In iOS 7 you can still make calls from the locked screen. Just swipe the missed call numbers to the right. Is this a bug?
How is it a security breach? You're free to turn off lock screen notifications for the phone app so that no one can do that.... even if they can, they can only call the number that called you... nothing else. (well, except for 900 or whatever the emergency services number is where you are, but that's required by law).

They switched me to Skype Premuim, can't make call...
OK, here goes.
I've had a Skype Unlimited World subscription for several years, a recurring $9.99/monthly payment. About a week ago I tried to make a call on my mobile and got the message saying 'Skype Premuim doesn't allow calls to phones, that I would need to buy Skype credit', etc....
Hmmm...what the heck is going on?
i checked my emails to see if a late May 'Your purchase has been delivered' mail had come in, and no, it hadn't. Hmmm...more wondering about what's going on. I did not receive any messages informing me of changes to my subscription, changes to Skype or changes to Skype Premium. i went to my account page at Skype to see that Skype Premium was active, but that $0.00 had been charged in late May. Hmmm....what's up with that?
I did read the 'Skype Premium' is changing, group video calls are free', whatever, but it still was not clear about being able make calls to phones, and that's all I've ever needed of Skype for the past couple years. i want to continue having what I had. And I have no interest in group videos call anyway.
What to do? There is no one to call and talk with, but I did have a 'chat session' with a support rep (automated?) who was not able to quite understand my concerns. it ended with the chat rep telling me I'd have Skype Premuim for free until next January. I did tell the chat rep that I just wanted to be able to make calls, that group video was of no interest to me, and she (chat rep had a female name) told me everything was fine, that i would be able to make calls as I had been doing for a few years now.
OK, I'm back on, right? At least that's what my thinking was. So yesterday i tried to make calls, and much to my dismay, there was the same message...'Skype Premuim doesn't allow calls to phones, you will need to buy Skype credit'....AARGH.
So that's it? You can not make calls to phones with Skype Premuim? Or you can, but Skype is having issued sorting it out? Would someone here be able to clarify?
I don't see any use for me of a Skype Premium account if I can't make calls to phones.
I see the world subscription is now $13.99 a month. I would have just preferred they tell me the subscription price was increasing, instead of having to go through this whole mess to find out things have changed. I can not forward calls. I go to call forwarding, turn it on, copy and paste my phone number into the correct field (including the international dialling code).
I then tap the Call Forwarding button, which takes me back one stage and the Call Forwarding button goes to off after a couple of seconds. Anyone who can help?Yes, a blocked call will go immediately to your voice mail.
If you would rather not have that behavior, ask your cellular carrier if you can block that person through the carrier. -

Yes. AIFF performs no compression so your copy will be bit for bit identical: no loss. It uses a lot of disk space too. Apple Lossless (ALAC) will compress, but also with no loss. Expect file sizes about 50% of the original.
The sample rate of 44.1 KHz is identical to that of every commercially produced audio CDs that I am aware of. There is no benefit in increasing it or attempting to "tweak" its settings.
I used Toast for many years and consider it a well designed product. I have not had any reason to upgrade to more recent versions though. If you copy the CD audio with no loss (AIFF or ALAC), then that obviates any question about sound quality since it will be identical to the original. Toast may be able to alter the sound quality but I don't advocate trying to improve upon what is essentially your only "master" - the audio CD. As I recall Toast had features such as noise reduction. That may be valuable for magnetic tape, but it's not a concern with a CD. Even very good noise reduction alters the original to some extent, and it seems to me that you want an exact duplicate. Any alteration will be contrary to your stated goal of bit-for-bit reproduction.
