Can't down load from a cd to my mac it says its in DOS mode

can any one help me to subtract information from a cd to my mac as it says im running in DOS mode ?

Not sure of the exact problem here. But if you are not booted into OSX and it is defaulting to some windows boot then boot with the option key down and then select an appropriate OSX boot volume using the arrow keys on the list that is presented to you.
Ot maybe the cd is in a windows format that the mac is having some kind of problem with.

If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7 A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there's a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to your Mac. If you prefer something more automated there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos and photos as well. If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Don't uncheck Sync Music it will be unchecked by default when you choose the manual setting: Managing content manually on iPod
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

Hi, I am having a similar problem: I can surf the App Store, but when I try to download anything the download starts, hangs for a while, then it stops with the following message (I am translating from Italian, the actual English message may be slightly different):
Application download not possible
Installation launch not possible
Any hint? Please note that I can download upgrades form the Preferences panel with no problem.

The 2G iPod can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. You have two choices:
- Live with not using the latest apps.
- Purchase a newer model iPod.

I also use Nikon D4, D2H and D2Xs
I use Nikon Transfert 2, the latest version, to download my shots to my MacBook Pro hard disk in a picture folder. After this I use Aperture Import to place the New folder created in the Nikon folder in the Aperture Inspector folder... This way, I always have the copy of my originals files.
.jpg or .nef work fine.

It's as simple as this:
Open iTunes.
Click iTunes Store on the left side of the screen.
Look on the left side - click Purchased (it has a NEW graphic next to it)
You will see everything you have every purchased from iTunes. You can redownload any of it.
Enjoy. Good luck finding your iPhone. If you get another one make sure to set up Find my iPhone as soon as you get it so you can track it down if you lose it again.
