Can't download a program

I recently got a new MacBook Pro.  I had a data transfer done, but when I launch the computer, a geneaology indexing program that allows me to work off-line on transcribing records is not on the computer.  I tried to download it again from FamilySearch.org, but when I try to install the program, I get the following error message: applications/familysearchindexing/indexing.familysearch.org/.install4j/messages .bundle/contents/resources/de.lproj/localizable.strings  Could not create this file.  Shall I try again?  The options are Cancel, No, and Yes.  If I click Yes or No, I continue to get the same error message.
Can anyone help me figure out how to install this program?  Thanks.

May not be compatible.  Need more info to be conclusive.
What did you upgrade from? 
Give a link to the app. or the complete name.
Lion was the last OS that could run PPC apps that ran on Rosetta.

    What Nexus 7 version do you have as there was a 2012 and a 2013 model. A easy way to tell if it is a 2013 is it has a camera on each '''back''' and front while 2012 only has one on front.
    If it is the 2012 then it has a Nvidia Tegra 3 so the old Flash 11.1 Plugin is disabled.

    I decided to write here at the community because I'm sincerely worry about it, and I would like to know if someone else have already seen it before.
    Adobe is verifying my case, but I'm in need of an urgent response. I don't know if I make another account and another credit card debit, just to have access for the programs, or if I wait working on another old PC computer for 25 trial days. If I make another account I can be charged for 2 payments, That's what I don't want.

  • Getting a "Download Error" and can't download any programs or see my app list.

    I am using a Macbook Pro with OSX 10.9.1 and I have been paying for and using CC for several months. This week, I had a persistent bug with Ps so I uninstalled it, with the intent of reinstalling to see if that fixed the error. However today when I clicked the CC icon and went to Apps, none of my programs show up. Instead, it just says "Download Error. Please retry again or contact customer support." There was a button to "reload applications" but nothing happens when clicked. I just want to download the programs I am paying for!
    I have an internet connection (obviously, since I'm posting here) and have looked through the forums and support articles with no luck. I tried uninstalling CC, using the CC cleaning tool, and reinstalling, but nothing changed except that now I can't use any of my CC programs since they were all uninstalled with the clean. I have restarted my computer and checked my connection. I also waited on hold for live support for a while, but I'm at work and I honestly don't have the time to sit and stare at my screen, waiting, for an indeterminate amount of time.
    Can anyone help me with this? I can't do my job without the CC programs so this is extremely frustrating.

    I think I have fixed this. Even more googling found me a community support thread where following the advice in #5 and #9 seem to have brought my Apps tab back to life. Specifically, I deleted the folder mentioned and restarted the program. This took two tries to take effect.
    Now I am redownloading Ps and will post back if I run into another roadblock. Thanks for all yr help Adobe, that $20/mo really buys excellent support and all the articles were super helpful with my issue. /Sarcasm

    Anyway, Windows programs do not natively run on Macs. You may be able to get Nitro to run, though either via Boot Camp or one of the virtualization solutions, such as Parallels Desktop, VMWare Fusion, or VirtualBox, that allow you to run a "guest" OS under Mac OS X. You'll need to confirm whether Nitro will run in such circumstances, and if it will, you'll need a copy of Windows. Whether you choose the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Nitro will depend on what release of Windows you choose, or can, run. I'd suggest asking for advice in the Nitro forums, if the developer provides customer forums.

    If the two machines are on the same WiFi network, login to both machines, then open Finder and click AirDrop on each machine:
    On the MBP, go to your Downloads folder and drag the AutoCad Trial download file to your userid in the AirDrop window, drop it on the image and it should appear on the Mini desktop.

    I purchased recent tv programs for my mac book pro as I have many times before.
    However, shen I try to download them I get the message: " All downloads and file copies have been paused. The disk you are attempting to use is full."
    I thought all itunes downloads are downloaded onto an idisk, which is online memory storage. In that account I have used a fraction of my 19,456 MB. On my hard drive I have well over 1 GB of space left so what disk is being referred to in the stop sign message and how can I correct the memory allotment on that disk to download my purchased itunes programs. I am using the latest itunes, 8.1
    This also happened last year for a while and mac support said to delete and reinstall itunes. When 8.1 was downloaded the problem appears to have been solved. And now it is back.

    Hi and welcome to Apple Discussions.
    Irrespective of your iTunes downloads you are going to run into serious problems with only 1GB of free space. The general recommendation on these forums is that one should have 10% free space as a minimum or 15% as an ideal.
    Having as little as 1GB could result in system corruption or, at worst, HD damage. I recommend that you free up some space as a matter of urgency.
    If you would like any guidance on what is safe to remove post back but a good starter, often neglected, is to empty your Trash.
