Deleting the App Store app from the Dock is not really a solution though is it? This issue has nothing to do with whether you have auto-updates on or not either.
The problem is worse than just the red badge on the app's icon in the Dock, the problem is every time you go to the App Store Updates section to manually install updates -- to other apps, OS X, or whatever, that **** iMovie app is still sitting there waiting to be updated too. You can't really use the "Update All" button now because that will also try to update iMovie, again.
Surely there must be some way to remove the iMovie app from the Updates section of the App Store? I thought hiding/removing it from the Purchases section of the App Store would do that, but it doesn't. It looks like a bug in that the App Store doesn't realise the update is incompatible with the hardware until after you click the Update button. It should know up front that it isn't compatible with this machine and not show it. -
Ok when I first got my IPhone, I created an apple I.D. and downloaded lots of apps to try them out. Then one time it said needed to sign in and view the billing information and I did. It said I needed the security code from my card and I placed it in the box that said security code, when I pressed done at the top, it said the security code was invalid?! I tried it over and over, but it still said invalid!! Someone please help me and does downloading lots of apps and deleting them most of them affect my ability to download more apps? Thank you.
No, you may download and delete as many apps as you wish. Did your card expire and your bank issue a new one? With mine I had to call my bank so they'd let me add my new card to iTunes, you might have to try that.

Not able to Download Apps anymore.....
Can't Download Apps anymore....
For about three weeks now, I have not been able to download apps from the market or any other site.
I am able to scroll through the apps or scan the code, but when I click the install, I get this following message every single time:
"Sorry....
The Application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
- Force close -"
No matter how many time I attempt to install, on different apps at different times of the day, I get the same annoying message.
Now, perhaps something I downloaded in the past is interfering with new app downloads.....I dunno.
Any ideas on how to correct this please...?

Astro JoeI feel your pain! I had a very similar situation with my LG Ally last week. Suddenly, and for no apparent reason, I couldn't update any apps (it would literally be downloading for HOURS), and I couldn't install any new apps either. I performed the whole shut down/restart thing; pulled the battery; even did the factory reset more times than I can count, and I still kept getting an error message. (Can't remember exactly what the message was; something to do with google and "the process" stopping unexpectedly). Finally called Verizon customer support - they did what they could (which was very little - surprise, surprise). They said they could replace the phone, but suggested that I call LG support first, which I did. LG was even more useless. Called Verizon again, they transferred me to tech support. Tech support was unfamiliar with the error message I was receiving, but they were more than helpful in getting me a replacement phone.
Now, I have a couple of things to say about Verizon support. Despite the constant complaining I hear on these forums about Verizon, I have NEVER had a problem with them - EVER. I have been a Verizon customer forever - it is the only wireless provider I have ever had. They have never been anything other than helpful and pleasant, no matter what I called about - my plan, my phone, whatever. When I called last week about this current issue, the people I talked to were professional, helpful, and nothing less than courteous even though I'm sure I was not the nicest person at the time. The last tech that I talked to on Wednesday evening at almost 11pm, was very apologetic about my particular problem, and even kicked in free overnight shipping so I would have my phone before the holiday weekend. He didn't have to do that, but that my friends, is the definition of Customer Service.
But I digress.......
My recommendation, Chicagoastro, is to call customer service and see what they can do for you. At worst, they will do nothing and you are screwed. At best, they just may send you a replacement phone. NOTE: I did not receive a "new" Ally, but a replacement - bare bones, no charger, no battery, no back, no SD card. I didn't care one bit. It works, and that is all that matters.

I can't download apps from the store with my ipad2 anymore. It was working fine the other day. I tried signing out and back in with no luck.
I am having the same problem I enter my password it says I have to go to a website my info.apple for additional security then goes to website an get safari cannot open the page bc it could not establish a secure connection to server..... I'm online with it right now.... Since I got my iPhone 4s I can't use the ipad2 what can I do?

Also. many apps not require iOS 7 and it is not clear if y have iOS 7 or later.. So maybe:
Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

H.MThe iPad 1 can't run the newer operating systems. It'd be like trying to play a bluray disc in your 6 year old dvd player....it simply lacks the hardware to make the software run.
No suggestion about the camera, but given that Apple's attitude seems to be to focus more on the more mobile devices for photography (the iPhone and Touch cameras got features, the iPad and mini didn't), that is highly unlikely. You can tell Apple what you want, but you'd probably be money ahead to get a digital camera.
as to the photos, anything put on via iTunes has to come off via iTunes.Your main alternative would be to look for photo apps that offer file exchange that may give you more functionality. -

If you have the was installed on your local machine or if you have remote access to the machine where the was is installed you could also deploy your application using the J2EE Visual Administrator tool .
After you connect through Visual Admin expand the node Server->Services-Deploy->Runtime . Choose Deploy and Start .In the File field, specify the application EAR file . You can also browse to it in the file system.
If some additional class files are necessary for loading and deploying or updating the application, modify the list of Additional Class Path . Choose OK .
The Deploy Dialog Box appears . If you have to make any last minute changes do it here . Else directly select Ok . The successful deployment is marked with green on the status bar .

So I have an iphone and for some reason I don't know the password for my Apple ID so I can't download apps and I don't have the password to my email to change it and I don't know the secret questions , what can I do to make a new Apple ID ?
I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
Ipod touch 2nd Generation can't download Apps?
My nephew was given a ipod touch 4th generation, and so he gave me his ipod touch 2nd generation; after resetting the ipod and setting up an account on itunes, as well as authorising my computer, this ipod can not download apps like angry birds, however it could before! Please explain why this is and how i can fix this?

Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

If you restored your iPad as new, and it still didn't help, I don't know if anything in here will help. in any event, I have posted this boilerplate of suggestions many times in the past and the suggestions in here have worked for others at one time or another. Feel free to give them a try.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. If you see a downloads tab in the lower right corner, then there is a download in iTunes.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. Reset your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. -
