Can't download 'August Rush'

I repeatedly get download error 3256 when trying to download August Rush. I don't know if it's related but the only thing that has changed since I last rented something is the upgrade to 2.0.1. Anyone know what this error message meanes? or better still, how to get a download to complete. It's frustrating enough that my downloads tak 7 - 8 hours for HD, without discovering when i check the following day that it crashed at 5% (and again at 10%, and 18%, and 24%, and... you get the picture).
At this rate, Netflix is going to win...

I haven't changed anything - so Only Block UDP flood... could this be the 2.0.1. dropped connection issue I have started reading about?

Check the key used to Eject is not stuck down.
On My Microsoft Wireless keyboard it is a Specific key that does nothing else.
On my Mac Pro Keyboard ( a Keyboard called the Mac Pro from around 2002/3) also has a specific key
If nothing is in my MacBook Pro Drive then the key for that does not make the drive do anything. (It would only get triggered when a Disk was inserted).
Seems all Mac Keyboards may have a specific key but I was not sure.

Can I download Pages for free onto my late 2012 Macbook Pro with retina display and 8 gb of memory. The machine is running Yosemite Versus 10.10.1.

Pages is free for those that have purchased a new Mac. If you have never owned Pages before, then it is a purchase product for you. I suggest you look at the product reviews in the App Store, before you rush to purchase it. It is not a Word clone either.

Leopard is only available from non-Apple sources that may still have copies in stock. It was discontinued in August 2009 and is no longer available from Apple. Try eBay. Make sure you get a boxed retail copy of Leopard, not a system restore version. It's easy to tell them apart - the system restore disks are grey and are labeled for a specific model Mac (iMac, MacBook, etc). If someone is selling the grey system restore disks, stay away from them even if they say they are for an iMac.
Note: If you have a PowerPC (PPC) Mac, Leopard is the final version of OS X that you can install on your Mac. 10.5.8 was the final update to Leopard. I always found it to be a very stable version of OS X.
Snow Leopard (10.6.x) and all later releases of OS X require an Intel Mac.
If you have an Intel Mac, I agree with Neil, skip directly to Snow Leopard (10.6). It is still available from Apple for $19.95. The final update to Snow Leopard was 10.6.8. Once you install it, run Software Update to make sure you get the 10.6.8 update. Again, a very stable release.

Yes, the installer downloads to the Applications folder, if after downloading it asks to continue to do the installation just close that dialogue. Later, when you are ready to install click on the installer in the Applications folder and it will do its thing.

I can't argue that Apple wants to get out from under Java and has publically stated that for several years now. It's turned into a security nightmare, much the way Adobe Flash has, so I don't blame them at all for walking away. I still expect them to fulfill their agreement to continue support of Java 6 through end-of-life.

Well, usually snow leopard comes with the 'bundled software' disk; maybe someone gave yan the machine w/o the disk(s) – or flash drive <-------------- on that point i'm not sure because my first MBA was just this past August and there is no more flash drive installer that comes with the MBA (if there ever was one). So I was thinking, for some strange reason, he was at least running an earlier version of Lion and could not update his machine for whatever reason. So he would have to upgrade to Mountain Lion, or wait for Mavericks (if his machine can upgrade to that)

Only one app can be downloaded simultaneously. However, if you select to install both before going to bed, both should be downloaded and installed when you wake up, before when one app finishes installing, the other one will start being installed
