Hi,
I can't download few apps on my ipad 2. Like a browser. I have the safari but i can't download any browser. Very weird.

The same thing happened to me. It was working fine a few hours ago.

Without Upgrading I Can't Download Certain Tracks?

I upgraded to the latest version of I Tunes 7 recently. However the playback of all the songs in my library was distorted & songs were jumping during playback. I then decided to revert back to I Tunes 6, since I have done this the quality of playback is back to normal. However, as I now have an older version when I click to download some tracks I am told I must upgrade to I Tunes 7! I am not prepared to do this because of the problems I've had with it. Is there anyway of downloading these tracks without upgrading? Is there an option somewhere to allow this as I am not bothered about I Tunes + features?

+I downloaded 1 track when I upgraded before which is an I Tunes Plus tune, even now that I've gone back to I Tunes 6 it still plays fine?+
The iTunes Plus tracks are plain AAC/256 files. They will play fine in old versions of iTunes.

Have you looked for the tracks in other online stores such as audiolunchbox.com and amazon.com ? Both of them have big selections and have no DRM at all. They sell in MP3 format, which is fully compatible with iTunes/iPod and all other players as well. You can make purchases within your browser without other software required, so the whole "required upgrade" issue goes away. While you are at it, compare the prices.

Can't download certain on-demand Sky1 programs, says I need to upgrade (but it's on my subscription)

Hi I tried to download/watch "The last ship S1 ep10" from ondemand (sky 1) normal SD version - a banner pops up and says I need to upgrade to watch this. I have Sky 1 as part of my subscription and can download most other Sky 1 on-demand programs no problem - but sometimes certain programs/series will state I need to upgrade to 'family'. Please help.

I agree this is not fair, and yes sky making more money i think if the series is still going, it should not be put into the sky box sets until at least it has finished for a few months, i remember when you could get sky box free when you added the internet, one of their great ways to add your router it was all free, and slowly they are taking it away, i wanted to record esp 1 of a series just started on sky 1 and i cant, cause they have already put it in sky box, this is so stupid, i have been with them for many years and have multi room, i have told them what they charge is enough and i will not pay extra for hd etc, they way this is going i will be looking elsewhere and dumping sky

Can't download certain attachments; rolls across top of screen.

When I receive certain attachments, I cannot open them. I click on the attachment, and boxes scroll across the top of the screen and keep on scrolling. I have to X out of the e-mail and start over again, and I never am able to download these attachments. I know that I have not done something that I am supposed to do to be able to download all attachments, but I don't know what that "something" is. I probably will not be able to understand what I am supposed to do. Obviously, the person sending the e-mail and attachment is using some kind of program to attach that I don't have. Help!

Subscribers can't download certain episodes but rss is fine

Im hosting a podcast that has about 20 episodes currently on the server. Through my webpage and rss file, everything works AOK. There are also people that have told me they are able to download most of the episodes through iTunes. However, I keep getting feedback that past episode 214, several subscribers can't get the rest of the shows. (IE 214-220).

It's quite impossible to make any comment without being able to look at the iTunes Store and the feed file. Do you feel like posting the URLs for these? You get the iTunes one by right-clicking on the podcast image in the Store page and choosing 'copy to clipboard'. Please include the http:// in both cases.

Can't download certain podcasts in iTunes app... any ideas why not?

Hi all,
For the most part, I have no problem finding podcasts in the iTunes app on my iPad, and downloading podcasts directly. However, a handful of podcasts refuse to let me do so, and I can't figure out why. I tap on the "free" icon, and nothing happens... it doesn't change to "download" or anything.
Can someone else verify this, and maybe have an idea what the problem is? Thanks!

I am having the exact same issue except I am using Win 8.1 64 bit. Same symptoms as you described, except if I close iTunes with CD in drive and reopen, it recognizes the CD. If I eject CD and insert another one it is not recognized. I have tried all the diagnostics on Apple support site and nothing has worked. All pc divers current and optical drive is working normally.

Can't download certain songs from iTunes match

Last night I extacted a full album from a CD to my PC laptop via iTunes.
All track names were detected by gracenote and all 12 songs were exacted and showing up in iTunes except the artwork was missing for some reason?
I upload all 12 songs to iTunes match.
Today, on my desktop, I turned on iTunes match and I can see the album and all 12 songs.
There is a download button next to each track and I attempted to download all 12 songs. Most of them downloaded except 4 songs for some reason?
The download button is NOT greyed out, it's black, but when I click on it iTunes does nothing. The songs were not downloaded from iTunes match and I have no idea why? No error message....it just doesnt want to download those 4 songs.
Troubleshooting:
-Turned off itunes match. Restarted iTunes and turned iTunes Match back on. Tried to download the songs again, download button is black but same problem.
-Signed out of my Apple account and singed back on. Tried to download the songs again, download button is black but same problem.
-Deauthorized computer, re-authorized computer, updated iTunes match. Tried to download the songs again, download button is black but same problem.
I don't get it? Why would some of the tracks download but not all of them when the entire track list is present. 12/12 songs are showing up but iTunes Match would only let me download 8/12 songs.

Also, I am running iTunes 11.1.3 on Windows 7 Pro x64 for both my laptop and desktop.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

I want to download Youtube, but the download button isn't there in the App Store. I have seen other apps that have the same problem. Can you please help?

If you turned it off, the passcode goes away until you enable it again then it asks you to create a new one.
Even if your iPad is not compatible, it will give you the Free (or price button) or a cloud button, then when you try to download the app it will tell you about compatibility. The only thing that can make that free or cloud button disappear completely is restrictions.
If you still have a code in restrictions, see if you can guess it and then go to that setting like I said before and make sure it shows Allow All Apps.

As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB
If you have iOS 4.2.1 or later on the iPod and there was version compatible with that version, then you should be able to get a compatible version by:

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I can't download certain app from the app store

Everytime I try and redownload app a message pops up once i enter my id and password that says "this app is free in the store, this item will be added to purchases and available even if your family sharing changes" I know family sharing is new with ios8 but i don't even have that set up/is it even available. Help!

Having the same message, but it won't download the app no matter how many times I click the download button. That is, the message keeps popping up after I click download and it doesn't download. Even stopping a couple of apps updating as well - when I say to update same cycle starts.

I am trying to download a previously purchased audiobook but I can't find the way to do it.

If you buy an audiobook on CD you'll find it needs some effort to get it organized to play on Apple device. See Audiobooks on iPod for details.
Audiobooks purchased from the iTunes Store should be packaged as a single chapterized file that works better on Apple devices. At the present time you are only allowed one download of any audiobook, but you can backup those files just as you would any other.
Even though you can repeat download certain purchased content you should really backup your iTunes library regularly to avoid having to redo any work you've put into organizing your library along with ratings, playlists, and any media you can't download again. For a suggested strategy see this user tip.

Can't download some apps from ovi store

so i had a mountain of trouble with my phone and ovi store after update but i am finally back up and running but for some reason i can't download certain apps like fmobi for example it downloads till the point it says finalizing then says cancelling download i have tried everything if anyone has a suggestion would be most helpful thanks

Can't download gmail app after iphone restore

I just had my iPhone 5s replaced and restored from backup.
a) most of my apps were missing (meh, not a huge deal to purge)
but more importantly,
b) I can't download certain apps now. For instance, I try to restore Gmail from the cloud and I keep getting a "This item isn't available", which I find pretty unlikely for the GMail app.
Is this something with my account? Are others seeing this as well?
