Can't download complete set of GarageBand loops

I've looked at many of the discussion thread about this issue but none of them have provided an answer that has solved my problem.
I click on a loop and I get the message that says, "The Software Instrument or Apple Loop selected is not currently installed on your computer. Would you like to install the complete set of GarageBand instruments and loops?"
I've selected the Download Now option which causes Software update to run and then it tells me all of my software is up to date.
I've also tried to use the Download later option by selecting it, quitting GB, going to Software Update the check for them, but still nothing.
I've seen the link to the site that suggests selecting the option to Install from DVD. I see no option to install from DVD. I only have the Download Now and Download later options.
I've tried to use the DVD that came with my Macbook Pro using the 'Customize...' option. I can see that all the the iLife apps are already installed of course so the installer will only give me the option to install 'CPU Help Files'.
I've got plenty of hard drive space so I know that's not an issue.
Any help appreciated.

Sorry for that! Hopefully rebuilding your loop index will solve this.
To create a new loop index, that does not contain the references to the missing loops, remove the contents of the old loop index from the Apple Loops Index folder and then again drag the loops to the loops browser.
Quit GarageBand if it is running.
Remove the contents of the folder /Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index/ to another folder on your Desktop.
Relaunch GarageBand - now the Loop Browser should appear completely empty.
Drag all folders with loops onto the Loop Browser in GarageBand. This will reindex the Loops. After this, only loops installed on your machine should appear in the Browser.

P.S. if still broken references appear, you may have more than one loop index folder in your library. Then you need to search your library with Spotlight for all instances; see here:

Just click loops , on the top of the panel click loops, and select "reindex all loops".

Where can I download complete Xcode Developer Tools for OS-X 10.6?

I have OS-X version 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard, I think). I do not have Xcode installed. I do not have the original MAC DVD.
I figured out I needed Xcode 3.2. When I download "Xcode 3.2" it from Apple, during install it says it failed "to locate package at ~/Packages/DeveloperTools.pkg".
Downloading "Xcode 3.2.1 Developer Tools" (there is no "Xcode 3.2 Developer Tools"), installing it results in the same error message. (The contents of this DMG is "XcodeTools.mpkg".)
Maybe I should download "Xcode 3.2.6 and iOS SDK 4.3 for Snow Leopard"? (But that is 4.14GB and I can't download that right now.)
Or am I stuck because I do not have the original DVD which I may need to get "DeveloperTools.pkg"?
(Also, why do you think the DMG binaries are so huge? The "Xcode 3.2" DMG for example, is 1GB, but the inside "Xcode.mpkg" is only 541KB!)

Any of the Xcode 3.2.x download packages will work with Snow Leopard. You don't need the Snow Leopard DVD to install Xcode, but if you had the DVD things would be easier for you because you could install Xcode from the DVD and not have to download it. If you don't need to develop for iOS, Xcode 3.2.2 is 744.71 MB, which is a much smaller download than Xcode 3.2.6.
The Xcode binaries are huge because you're downloading and installing more than just Xcode. There are other GUI apps, such as Interface Builder, Instruments, Dashcode, and Quartz Composer. There are also command-line tools. And there may also be developer documentation included with the Xcode binaries. All that adds up.

I would like an easier way (if possible) to download Nagel Brush Sets. I have PS CS5 and if possible I would like to download them all in one pass (as opposed to downloading each series one at a time).
Is there a web site I can go to where they bundle the sets and one unzip gets them all (or most of them)?

Perhaps your GarageBand preferences files are corrupted. Remove these files from your User Library to a folder on your Desktop:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.garageband.plist
~/Library/Caches/garageband
Quit GarageBand, then remove the files to a folder on the Desktop and restart the computer, before trying again to open GarageBand.
Your profile signature say MacOS X 10.7.5, but since you bought the in-app purchase, I assume you are using GarageBand 10 on Mavericks?
You user library may still be hidden, as is the default in Mavericks: To open your hidden user library:
Select the "Home" folder icon (the little house) in the Finder's sidebar and press the key combination ⌘J to open the "view options".
Enable "Show Library Folder".
Then open the Home folder and open the Library folder inside and navigate to the Preferences, Caches, or Containers folder. Remove these folders completely - don't leave anything inside: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/,
~/Library/Caches/garageband .

the documentation seems not to be full. There are documents on different specific themes, and no document that describes the RDBMS in general (for instance like "Database Concepts" for Oracle Database). May be it doesn't exist at all?

It sounds like *Instant Client Package - ODBC: Additional libraries for enabling ODBC applications instantclient-odbc-win32-11.1.0.6.0.zip (725,154 bytes) is only the ODBC drivers (which is what I want), i do not want to install Oracle Client as I already have Oracle 11g DB install. I am testing windows ODBC applications with Oracle11g, hence the need for the Oracle11g ODBC drivers.

Where can I download new sets of buttons?

I'm looking for a round button that would light up like the buttons of an elevator (I've got the sound effect ready) but I can't find a circle in the set of buttons that came with DVD SP 2 (it's either a cross, a rectangle, a triangle, etc... but not circle.)
Do you know any good website where I can download that kind of goodies?
Otherwise I guess I'll have to create my own with Photoshop.

I've read the section you mentioned in the manual, but it doesn't really walk you through the steps in creating a shape in Photoshop that would function as a button in DVD SP.
But I found this link: http://www.kenstone.net/fcphomepage/shapes_droptemplates.html which is not only VERY explanatory but also offers each layer to download. The designer used a rectangular in this case, but it's basically the same layers whatever shape you choose.
Hope this will be useful to other DVD SP debutants!

Can't download basic lessons in GarageBand

I've just bought a keyboard, connected it to my Mac and started GarageBand. The "Intro to Piano" lesson works great, but I can't access any of the other lessons. I go to "Lesson Store" and click the download icon at the bottom right:
This brings up the dialog asking you to purchase (but doesn't give a price?):
Click "Continue". It asks for me to log in to my AppleID. This brings up the next dialog which says that I've already purchased this.
Afterwards, it asks me to log in to my AppleID again, but leaves me at the same "Add more lessons to GarageBand" dialog.
If I go to the App Store, there's an old version of GarageBand (6.0.5), but nothing otherwise that I can see.
If I go back to the Lesson Store again, I can get to the same purchase dialog, but it won't ask for my AppleID. Clicking the continue button does nothing.
So what gives? Have I already purchased this, or do I need to purchase it again?

How can I download a set up file for Adobe Acrobat 8.2.0

Hello. I have an error message showing up:
Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Setup Files\{AC76BA86-1033-0000-7760-000000000003}\Data 1.cab.
Verify files exists and that you can access it.
Would downloading this file stop error messages coming up and the program from trying to re-install? I already have it on my PC.

I seriously doubt that your missing VIs would magically appear by installing 6.1. 7.0 should have everything.
What are the names of the VIs? Could it be you need the traditional DAQ drivers, but have now installed DAQMX?

How can I download or find the Garageband Dubstep DrumKit?

I want to make duubstep and I looked up in youtube how to do it in garageband but i need to have the garageband DrumKit so I'd like to know how to get it

I don't know which of the many drumkits you have seen on youtube. But some nice "Dub" loops are in the GarageBand JamPack "Remix Tools" and they are using the Trip Hop Remix Beats.
If you do not have the JamPacks installed, the most economic way to get them would be to buy MainStage 2; this will get you ~500 $ worth of additional instruments and loops for the price of Mainstage 30$.

How can I download GarageBand loops?

I'm a pretty big GarageBand user. I have a lot of grayed-out loops and whenever i click on them to download them, i get a pop-up saying: "The Software Instrument or Apple Loop selected is not currently installed on your computer. Would you like to install the complete set of GarageBand instruments and loops?" Then I get two options. Download Now, and Download Later. Download later does not do anything that it says it will do. If I open Software Updates, there is no box telling me that I have loops to install. If I chose Download Now, the App Store pops up, and takes me to the Updates tab. There is nothing in it except for a message that says "You have no updates".
Please help me download these loops!

Reload the AppStore Updates tab window after you signed into the AppStore - press ⌘R.
If that will not bring the update forward, try to install manually from a Terminal as described by mteep:

Garageband the complete set of content download issue

I have a brand new MacBook Pro retina with garageband. Now I want to buy the complete set of content from Garageband. I click download and type in my password. When I click Buy when asked the app store opened and asked from my password again. When I type in my password the page stays blank and I can't purchase the complete set.
Please help me with this issue. I need those loops and sounds.

For some forum members here it helped to delete GarageBand 10.0 from the Applications folder and to install it again. Then Try to download the additional content again.
