Can't download file from Rapidshare host on Safari!!!???
I've been tried many times to download a file from Rapidshare host but it doesn't work. after waiting for about a minute and click on the download, the download integrated startup and seem to be searching file, but suddenly it fails and Safari automatically shut down and a pop up appears ask me to relaunch Safari. Besides, i did install igetter and integrated which safari but i still can't download from igetter. i wonder what is the problem with my safari. is that because i installed igetter and they are conflict or something else is happening. i wonder can i just disable download function of safari and use the download manager only. or can anyone tell me how to fix the problem of download from the safari.? thank a lot. dummy Macer.

I just copy and paste whatever in the report. it is a bit long. But I wonder my SD is 5.1.12 version. It is compatible with safari 4. how come is it not compatible with 10.5.6??

Just a theory but I think it holds some water, you can't download the file because you don't have an app that will let you save the file to on the iPad. I think that makes sense. I just downloaded a .qif from my bank site as a test and I was able to open the file in DropBox - not in any useful way - but I was able to save the downloaded file. My point is that if you choose one the apps the Dah-Veed has suggested to you, then you should be able to download the file if they work with the .qif format and I will trust Dah-Veed on that point.
If there is no app that can handle the file on your iPad, you more than likely cannot download the file and that's why you get the message. You are "putting the cart before the horse" by trying to download the file. -

I have the latest version of Safari and now I can't download files from my Gmail...
Might be a cookies, cache, extensions, or plug-ins issue.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here. -

i use iGetter, and it not responding to download, safari too..I was able to download the trial from rarlab.com. What happens when you click on a download? You need to make sure you select to download the Mac version. The .exe files do not run on a Mac.

Try to Clear your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies. To delete your temporary internet files on the Lg Ally follow the directions below:
From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (bottom of the screen).
Touch Browser.

Touch Clear cache.
Some visited website content stored on the device. The cache enables the browser to download only the content that has changed since the last time a website was visited. Since the browser only downloads changed content, pages are loaded faster.

Makepkg: curl can't download files from FTP servers but wget works

I've installed Archlinux in a VMware workstation. When I try to build a package which wants to download it's source files from a FTP server (eg. Eagle) curl fails to download the file with the following error message:

When I replace curl with wget in makepkg.conf and then try to build the package wget successfully downloads the file.

MartinI cannot connect direct to the internet from hte epub programme.
Using playbook connected by wifi connection. Went to Gutenburg site. Selected an epub book and pressed download. This was put into the download directory. Opened epub reader and went to 'Select books', opened 'Downloads' folder and the epub book from Gutneburg was there. Selected and installed into the Library.

What am I missing?You connect your device to your comptuer and open iTunes. Once it 'sees' the ipad, you can click on the name of your device and then you should see the tabs. In the Apps tab is your interface to remove apps, also to use the file transfer protocol - if your app supports that - to move files from your computer to your iPad. You can also use this interface to move the app icons from menu page to menu page on your device.
First, to use that apps tab, you'll need an app that'll read PDF files.
The file structure on an iPad is different than that from a computer or Mac. There is no general 'overall' file manager. Every file on your iPad needs to be associated with an app. So to read PDF files, you'll first need to install an app. iBooks will read PDF files. as will ReaddleDocs. I also see goodreader recommended a lot. So just search for PDF reader and find one that looks good to you.
Install the app. After the app is installed, you can go to the apps tab and move files onto your device. -
How can i download files from icloud to iPhone
i have completed icloud set up in my pc & iPhone 6 plus and stored some files on the icloud, but I can not pulls out files from icloud on my iphone.
According to what I know the only way to see or use those files on iphones and ipads is by using compatible app, that can read those files.

Can't download files from iCloud to PC
Whenever I get an attachment sent to my iCloud account, I cannot download the files to my computer. Every time I click on the attachment, nothing happens. The file just does not download!
