I tried to download Oracle OLE DB Provider 9.2 from http://otn.oracle.com/software/tech/windows/ole_db/htdocs/utilsoft.htm but I get HTTP 404 (page not found) errors every time I clik on the link for hte download file

Mac OS X 10.5 is an Operating System update that requires you to buy the upgrade/install disc and upgrade your Mac from 10.4.11 to 10.5.8 (Leopard). If you aren't willing to do that, then I'm afraid you're out of luck.

I was configuring ~/.bash_profile in order to conveniently switch the java version back and forth over the whole system (including terminal compiler, jvm, browser plug-in and web start). It worked for the first time (everything that requires java 6 to run finally works) but after a few repetitions java 6 is not working anymore (while reinstalling java 7 is still fine for java 7-dependent works). It shows missing plug-in on Chrome browser and there's nothing I could do to get back to java 6.

Here's a Kludge to let Chrome use java6, while at same time Safari/Firefox continue to use java7 (or 8, now avail).
After installing the JavaForOSX2013-05.dmg from above http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 , if you previously installed java7, then you probably also need to do any/all of the steps at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5559
But then I think you need to do them again after every java7 update. I think kludge below should be a one-time-only kludge that lets you update java7 without breaking java6-plugin for chrome.
Instead of doing the steps at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5559 I was able to get chrome to use java6, while Safari and Firefox continue to use java7, with ONLY one long command, a variation of step 4, in Terminal:
sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin
After above "ls -d /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/J*" should show 2 items:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin (java7 64-bit plugin)
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin (symlink to java6 32plugin)
Firefox and Safari use the java7-64bit plugin from oracle, and Chrome happily finds and use the java6-32bit plugin with the name of the symlink same as what it points to: JavaPlugin2_NPAPI.plugin
That is, if I then test the version of java I'm using at http://javatester.org/version.html chrome shows
"Java version "1.6.0_65 from Apple, Inc".
And, at same time in Safari or Firefox http://javatester.org/version.html shows "java version "1.7.0_51 from Oracle Corp" (after you add http://javatester.org/ to whitelist in both Safari and in Java Control Panel -> Security->Edit Exception List. At least on my 10.8.5 macbook. I'll test on mavericks and post results here tomorrow...
P.S. This may not be perfect... use at your own risk. For example, I can't get any of the demos to run in any browser at this oracle site: http://download.java.net/media/jogl/demos/www/

I have tried with serveral versions (but I want to have one for version 10)

The "right click" is a function of the OS and those keyboard commands do not work on the iPad at all with the built in virtual keyboard. I don't use an external keyboard - so I cannot attest to the possibility of that working - but there are no keyboard shortcuts with the iPad keyboard.

E.g. I would like to see the AlgViewEnu or other tables/views of AlarmLogging or TagLogging.

I have not used asp.net with CS4, due to it using an old version of the framework, so unfortunately I cannot really help in solving the problem. But I can remember having a similar problem with DW8, a tutorial for connecting to the database in DW8 is - http://www.webdesign.org/html-and-css/tutorials/asp-net-in-dreamweaver-8.7367.html. I also seem to remember that the connection required the old, (very old) Jet4 access database connector to be installed to work correctly.
These problems, and the fact that MS keeps updating the framework every year or so, (which are often not backwardly compatible) are why I use Visual Studio for .net C# sites, and no longer actively develop them, but I must admit I still prefer C# to PHP.

Shortly after upgrading from Oracle 8 to Oracle 9. I was advised to download more up to date oracle drivers, but I was wondering if there was a way to tell what version of the 'OLE DB Provider for Oracle' is already at. Is there a command I can use via SQL Plus or something?

I have found Microsoft ODBC for Oracle to be more stable than the Microsoft OLEDB for Oracle driver. I have also found both Microsoft ODBC and OLEDB drivers to be more stable than the drivers from Oracle.
You could always get the latest MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) from Microsoft's MSDN Download site and then get the ODAC (Oracle Data Access Components) from Oracle's OTN Download site. ODAC requires MDAC. And ODAC has the latest drivers.
I suppose it would help to have the latest patches for your Oracle client software too. Maybe Oracle MetaLink would have these?
It may even help to have the latest service pack for Visual Studio 6 (Visual C++ 6 and Visual Basic 6) too.

Developer 9i suite & Oracle OLE DB provider conflict on XP Professional

On a Windows XP Professional I installed Oracle 9i Developer suite Release 2 (9.0.2.0.0.) and it works fine.
After that I installed the Oracle Provider for OLE DB 9.2.1.0 on the same machine and then after installing the OLE DB provider I get an error with Oracle Reports that will not open and gives me an illegal memory address error. Also I get another error with Forms.
Is there any conflict in installing on the same XP machine 9i Developer suite (9.0.2.0.0) and the Oracle Provider for OLE DB 9.2.1.0 ?

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). Mountain Lion (10.8.x) is also available there at the same price but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks (10.9.x) - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.

I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Hi Rajesh,
I understood your requirement as from ALV you want to download the data to an Excel sheet.
In standard ALVs, you need to do this
In other cases like Z programs etc, often Icon is provided (as you said) like this
You need to select Local File option here as shown below
In both case you will get this pop-up
Now when you continue you will get SAVE dialog-box, where you can give a name to your excel file and Save.

Did you download and install the Windows Support software? If you did, did you use the Boot Camp Control icon to set up the trackpad how you want it?
