  • How can How can I download the Podcasts app to my ipod touch

I have a iPod Touch with iOS 6.1.3.  The podcast app was not working so I deleted it.  I tried to download/reinstall from iTunes on my PC but it gives an error saying it "requires a newer version of iPod software" (odd since the app was on the device before with the same iOS version).  I also tried going to the iTunes on the device but can't find the app there to down it and the iTunes app keeps crashing.
Is there a version of the Podcast app that works on an iPod Touch?  If so, how can I get it downloaded?

I am having the same issue and it is very aggravating. The only thing I use my Itouch for is podcast and now it is useless, so frustrated at the moment.

Every since my Bionic updated to the new Google Play Market, I can only download or update apps when I am in a WIFI location, regardless of the size. This is very upsetting. Does anyone know why this is?

Have you checked the app settings for the Play Store?
Motorola also has data or power management settings that can restrict how applications can downloads updates.

  • I can't download and update app

I can't download and update app for 2 days it show waiting and cannot connect to itune store, please help me! I try to sign out and sign in apple id but it's not work

For the Can't connect to the iTunes Store Message .....
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead a year or two. You will probably get some sort of error message telling you to correct the date so that you can connect to the server. Go back to the setting and set the date and time to Automatically on again.
See if you can can connect to the iTunes store.
    For the "waiting" icons .....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.

Can't download or update apps on iPad mini 2, it says 'Facebook could not download this time'.

Reset the iPad and try again. No data will be lost. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

  • When i try to download a "free" app for my ipod touch, it wants credit card billing info? a "free"" app is just that isn't it? How do I resolve this guys/gals? any advice?

when i try to download a "free" app for my ipod touch, it wants credit card billing info? a "free"" app is just that isn't it? How do I resolve this guys/gals? any advice?  P.S. I don't use credit cards.

You normally need to provide some sort of payment method (in part as proof of residence in the country) before you can get even the free apps. It is possible to set up a new iTunes Store account just for free apps, but you have to create a new Apple ID; you cannot use an existing one. If you want to do that, take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note again that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
    Regards.

I can't find the imessages app on my ipod touch. can u help please?

    - Try using the Spotlight search. It is likely you just can't find it.
    - Next try a reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    - Last, restore the iPod.

  • Can I download  video from iPhone 4s to iPod touch 2

can I download  video from iPhone 4s to iPod touch 2?

This what I've tried so far:
Downloaded photos from the iPhone to the computer.  Videos and photos transferred without problem.
Plugged in the iPod Touch (2) and all photos synced just fine, but no video appeared.
While the iPod was connected I looked In the menu bar of iPhoto, when I chose movies, none were listed.
I cannot find an item listed in the settings menues that seem relevant.
I have emailed the movies successfully from the iPhone 4s.

  • Can't download or update apps.

    Hi
I have had an iPod for a couple of years and bought an iPhone earlier this year over the Internet (sent from the US). Until recently I could download and update apps on both devices. But now when I try to do this on my iPhone I get a message that I cannot use the US app store and should switch to the Danish store. I live in Denmark and have downloaded iTunes here. So I can't understand why I need to switch. When I look at my iTunes account only the iPod seems to be registered. How can I add the iPhone to the account/switch to the Danish app store? I hope some bright person can help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi again
After reading through some of the similar questions and solutions, I managed to solve the problem myself. Thanks for a great forum :-)

  • Can't download and update app's via app store

Hello. When i try to download or update app's from app store on my mac, there is a message box with the following text-" We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)"
    any idea?

try booting to safe mode (restart while holding down the shift key) and once booted there open the app store and try downloading the updates and see if it works.
if it doesn't try a new test user to install the updates. the following article tells how to create a new acct on the mac:
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4600 (make sure you make it an admin account so it can authorize software installations)
hope one of these solutions works for you!

  • Why can't I update apps on my iPod touch 4G ios 6.1.6?

Every time I try to update an app a window pops up telling me unable to download. I can't download a new app either.

Look at the Requirements section for the app to determine if the update requires iOS 7 or later?

  • Can't download or update apps from App Store

I'm using a MBP Retina Display with Mountain Lion. Whenever I attempt to update apps or download new ones, the sign in window pops down. I type in my log in information and the window goes back up, just to come back down again. It doesn't stop no matter how many times I sign in. I've tried signing out again, signing back in, deleting cache, etc. Nothing works. Any pointers?

Guess, you only have another issue with the app store problem. Some cannot login, some are caught into a loop of password prompts...
All is related to Macs with MacOS 10.4.7 - but seems to have follows on MountainLion as well.
For MacOS 10.7.4 there are two different solutions trials, one is to go to close all applications then navigate to /var/db/crls and delete there the files crlcache.db and ocspcache.db - reboot the system, empty trash and see if this solved the problem.
If not, second chance is to reset the certificates, mentioned here:
Delete the files /var/db/crls/crlcache.db and /var/db/crls/ocspcache.db. These can be found using Finder’s Go >; Go To Folder menu (Cmd + Shift + G). This resets the cache of accepted certificates in the system. It doesn’t remove them, it just forces the system to rebuild the caches upon restart.
Open Keychain Access (/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access). Select Certificates in the Category picker on the left side. In the search bar, type in the word Class. Look through that list, and find any certificates that have a blue + symbol over their icon. These are the ones you need to modify.
Select one that has a blue +, and hit Command + I. Click the disclosure triangle beside the “Trust” list to show the list of permissions. Now, what we need to do is to set this certificate to use the system defaults. However, for some reason, when you select it, it doesn’t save. So what you need to do is this. Under “Trust”, where it says “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)”, change the dropdown menu to say “No Value Specified”. Then, close the window. It will ask for your administrator permissions. Then, open the info pane for that certificate again. Under “Trust” again, now set the dropdown that says “When using this certificate:” to say “Use System Defaults”. You can then close out of the info pane, and enter your password again. Do this for any of the certificates that have a blue + on their icon. There should only be one or two at most.
    Restart your system.
So, as you see, it start again with reseting the certificate cache and next manually working the certificates, to ensure proper system setting...
But there are evenly people who failed with this... but you can give it a try, I don't know if it's in MountainLion compareable...
If all fails - then we have to wait for a fix from apple, because if those guess from apple service have no clue, well, then it must be done by higher instance of apple

  • Can't Download or Update Apps on my Mac

I recently got a macbook pro and ever since I got it I couldn't download or update any apps. When I click download or update it downloads the app into a folder called downloads, which is inside iTunes Media in a .tmp folder, but the app does not go into my library and I can't drag it into my library because there is a .tmp folder and it it there is a file called info.plist and another file called download but when I click on it I get an error that says You can't open the application download because the Classic environment is no longer supported. I created a test account and a guest account and it worked so there is something wrong with my user profile. Can someone help me?

    -  Temporarily disable anti virus software if installed.
    -  Apps such as Little Snitch, Net Nanny, and Hands Off can prevent apps from downloading including Mountain Lion.
    -  Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
If nothing above applies, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo)
That will reinstall the App Store for you as well as any necessary system files. It's ok to do this even though v10.7.5 is already installed.
Retart your Mac after the combo is installed.
    Then try the App Store.
