Can't download trailers now??
I haven't tried to put any new trailers on my ipod touch for a few months but I went to update it today and found that new videos can't be dragged over to the iPod. Older ones work fine.
Is it because it's not really downloading the file? BTW, why the **** can't you download trailers now? I have to watch it in real time for it to show up in my library's video section but I guess it's not really downloaded.
I just want to download some trailers and put them on the iPod. Why'd Apple have to mess with it? Anyone having any luck with this? I can't get any help with the contact maze either. They want me to call them and pay them for the priveledge.
Same issue here... would love to see this working the way it used to again.

Where Can I Download Mavericks, Now That Yosemite Is Out?
I want to download and install OS X Mavericks, but since OS X Yosemite came out, Mavericks is no longer available on the Mac App Store.
Suggestions?It seems to me that those of us that want Mavericks will have to work together to get it done. Basically, you have to know someone who has EVER downloaded Mavericks on one of their computers. That person can log on to your computer and let you legally download a copy of Mavericks. Said person would stay log enough for download. What I do not know yet is if that same person would have to be present to log in somehow later once the erase and write to Mavericks was done. I am one of the unfortunate Apple users who ended up with several log-ins, so I thought I could not go back to Mavericks. I logged in differently and I DO have Mavericks in my purchase history. I will be erasing my computer and reinstalling Mavericks from a thumb drive. I will come back and let you know if it required my log in. If it does not, then it's a matter of those of us who have Mavericks being willing to meet random people in coffee shops near us to help them out. If anyone is in the Oklahoma area, I live in Edmond, OK. I would be willing to meet you and your poor laptop to sign and get you Mavericks (if I don't have to stay past logging out of your app store when download is done).

I moved the imovie app to the trash. Where can I download it now again?

I have serious problems with imovie since thursday! The problem is, that imovie doesn't play audio that I add to the timeline!
So, I decided to reinstall it. I moved imovie to trash and emptied the bin. And then I wanted to download it again, but I don't know where I can download it!
Could someone give me further advice?

iMovie has never been available for download. It either came bundles with your Mac and can be found on the original install disks, or you acquired it by buying iLife, in which case you will have it on your iLife install disk. -
Can't download Send Now installation update
I have been using Send Now very successfully but when I went to use it today I got a message saying I had to download an update. I clicked to download and it started but would not install saying that my installation was misconfigured and to contact someone. I'm not even sure who to contact.

Try closing down iTunes and restarting it. Once this is down attempt to resume the interrupted download. If this is a purchased movie, try canceling the download and download it again via your past purchases. If the issue persists, you may need to troubleshoot the connection to the iTunes Store.

What do I do when a download is interrupted and then will not continue to download?
I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again. -

The servers are probably overloaded with everyone trying to update to iOS 7 today. You might need to wait and try again later.

Can I download but wait to install Lion?
I am eligible for the free up-to-date download of Lion. Of course, that expires in under 30 days now. Since I'd like to wait before installing the first release of Lion, can I download it now but wait to install it? Will it just sit in my downloads folder until I'm ready to run the installer? I'd like to wait for updates to iron out problems, but that may be after my 30 day eligibility.
Thanks.When you download from the App Store, you get a Lion Installer icon in your dock and the application itself (Install OS X) in your Applications folder. You should move or copy the Installer from the Applications folder to your desktop (or elsewhere), because once you run it from the Applications folder it disappears. If you have another computer(s), you can simply copy the Installer over to the other computer, avoiding the very lengthy download time.
Once the Installer is in your machine, you should be able to use it anytime.
I bought Lion, installed it, didn't like it, erased the disk and went back to Snow Leopard (with my complete clone), re-installed Lion to try it for another day, didn't like it, erased the disk again and went back to Snow Leopard. Now I'll probably wait for 10.7.2 or 10.7.3, to see if the problems I encountered have been fixed. -
I have been using itunes all day and then it wanted me to install a newer version. When I did it said I can't because it's missing mdsvr80 or something so i downloaded that now it has another error. How do I get itunes back the way it was or to work?

Something was hidden in a download and now these double green underlined hyperlinks show up everywhere, and pop ups too whenever I click on ANYTHING. I can't figure out how to find it and get rid of it.
You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:

This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -

I tried to back up all of my devices before making the update to 7.0.6.
My iPad was ejected and iTunes told me that it couldn't be updated due to some error (this was yesterday). Then when I plugged it back in, it said I needed to restore my iPad, and I couldn't get to the home screen or anything, it just showed a "Connect to iTunes" icon. So it restored a really early version (with notes from last semester but not from this semester), even though I'm sure I've backed it up at least twice since I got it (1-13-14).
I got onto the Cloud and downloaded some important lecture notes before performing the update just to make sure that they would all be up to date, but those are on my computer, which I am currently not at, so I can't download them. I saw that my iPad was syncing with my Cloud, so my college notes were all showing up, and I didn't stick around to make sure that the current ones showed up (but they're on my cloud, so wouldn't they?).
Also, I use Branchfire's iAnnotate PDF, and all of my highlighted articles for research papers and summaries are gone. I'm missing important articles that had notes for two seminars, and they're all gone. I'm confident I can recover things from the cloud, but iAnnotate doesn't use the cloud. Is there a way to find those again?
What I'm curious about right now is if there's a way to download from the Cloud to my iPad, because that's where my notes are.
Does the cloud sync FROM my iPad? As in, if it isn't on my iPad will it delete documents from my Cloud? Or if it's in the Cloud, will it sync to my iPad if it's absent here?
This is really frustrating, especially because I TRIED to back everything up just to be safe. I tried everything, and I still lost all of my important files. This is beyond frustrating, it's devastating. This is unacceptable.There are some recovery programs out there if you google them - many with free trials. I haven't tried them so I have no opinion.Read any professional tech and user reviews you can find before you try one. I have read here in the past that some have worked for people who have posted here.
To help in the future, have you considered using Jump Desktop - Remote Desktop? I know it won't solve the problem you're dealing with now (unless notes were taken on your computer.) It's in the app store. It's the #1 paid app in the business category and the reviews are great. It allows you to see anything that's on your computer on your ipad. If you take your notes on your ipad then you might want to email them to yourself, put them on Word in your computer, for example, and then if you need them in class, you remotely connect your ipad to your computer and you will see your notes. This way you won't have to rely so much on the cloud. The explanation would be too long here, but you might want to take a look at it. You can use the free trial on jumpdesk.com and then if it works for you, buy it in the app store.
Meanwhile, it's hours since you sent this post. Hopefully others who can help solve your problem who are on this forum now can help you. I hope you get your notes back. Don't give up too quickly.
