Can't edit a parameter in HTML

I'm trying to change "middle" to "top" in code you see below.
When I make the change and save the topic, RH7 undos the
change whenever I switch out of HTML editing mode to Design mode (I
presume that's when it happens, since it doesn't happen before my
eyes while I'm looking at it and it has changed back when I
re-enter HTML editing mode from Design mode).
My first thought was that a style sheet was overriding my
changes. I checked the style sheet that the topic's associated with
and I couldn't find a TR specification anywhere, just a TD one, and
even that doesn't specify an alignment.
Why is RH7 not accepting my change?
And: Assuming that a style sheet is, somehow, overriding the
edits I make in HTML mode and I'm overlooking the style somewhere.
How do I force RH7 to accept my change no matter what?

* You have style info inside the HEAD section of the topic.
* The style assigned to the text in the table rows is
superceding the table cell alignment.
1: Nope.
2. There is a CSS style sheet assigned to it, but like I say
there are no definitions in that stylesheet that would seem to
conflict with it--but even if so, say I'm overlooking something,
how could I override that?
3: Not that I see.
4. No, for if I make a blank table from scratch using just
HTML then RH7 still injects things on its own.

This has been happening for several months now and it's mega frustrating. I would appreciate any light being thrown onto this issue, thanks

  • How can I edit a catalog's html?

I have an "add to cart" button on my catalog page, that I would like to remove.
Additionally, I also would like to know how to make my catalog pages appear on my list of pages.

    Hi,
JDeveloper 9.0.3 and 9.0.4 don't have a WYSIWYG HTML editor. JDeveloper 9.0.5 that will be close to 9.0.4 has a WYSIWYG editor for both, HTML and JSP.

  • HTML Snippets- I can't edit them!

    Hey,
I've been having this issue since I deleted a bunch of files and folders (which I thought belonged to removed applications) from ~/Library and /Library.
What happens is, when I insert an HTML snippet, I see a small box that looks like it's for inserting text, but I can't edit any of the HTML. Clicking on the box has no effect. When I drag things like Google Maps and Countdown Timer onto a page, the same, obstinate box appears, and refuses to comply with any requests I make.
So I think what I need to do is delete the file ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain and recreate my site in iWeb. I'm pretty sure this is going to work, because I restored my system once, and after it didn't find my site, and created a new Domain file, I no longer had the problem (of course, after I moved Domain back to its previous location, I wound up having the same problem, again).
Anyway, I'm just wondering whether there's a simpler way to fix up this mess. Although I think my site could benefit form an overhaul.
    Thanks!

Try quitting iWeb, deleting the preference - Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist,
restarting your Mac, running Disk Utility to repair permissions and relaunching.

  • How can I edit an html file in Firefox using View Source?

I have created an html webpage and saved it to my pc. I can't edit the html file in firefox when I right click on the page and select "View Source". I can view the code but I can't edit it. I can do this in IE9.
I thought I was able to do this before in Firefox.
Did my settings change somewhere that I can no longer do this?
Do I have to have something checked in the Web Developer extensions for it to work?
    I'm using Firefox 24.0
Thank you for any help with this. :)

The View Source window in Firefox cannot be used to change computer codes. Nor can the Web Developer tools.
    Sorry for any inconvenience.
    I suggest using Programmer's Notepad.

  • Can you edit the html in iWeb?

I publish to a folder and need to edit the div tags on a box. I can't seem to get the html open, though, unless I view source online. How can I hand edit it?

There's no way to customize the URL. It's what iPhoto and the .Mac servers give it. If you select a web gallery in iPHoto and click on the Tell a Friend button at the bottom iPhoto will create an HTML based email that you can send and all the reader has to do is click on the links provided.
This is what it will look like.

  • Can't edit html snippet

I have numerous html snippets that work fine. However I can't edit them any more. When I click on the snippet in iWeb I used to get a window with the snippet code to edit. That doesn't happen any more. Same thing for new html snippets: No edit window to place code in. Don't know when it stopped working since I haven't tried editing snippets for several months.
Thanks for your help - Volker

Thanks. That was helpful. Deleting preferences or repairing permissions didn't help. Reinstalling did the trick. FYI: You can install iWeb straight from disk individually without Pacifist.
After all of that I found out what had caused the problem in the first place: I had moved the iWeb application into a sub folder of the Applications directory. That seems to be breaking this feature only. Any thoughts on moving applications? Is there a best practice not to?

  • Can't edit html

I have Dreamweaver CS5. Someone asked me to look at their website as it wasn't displaying correctly in IE v8. I downloaded the page and opened it in Dreamweaver but I can't edit the html. I When I tried to delete some code it didn't move.
Any ideas what's going wrong please?

    Hi,
    1. In my IE 8, the page is correct, your findings "Someone asked me to look at their website as it wasn't displaying correctly in IE v8." I can't confirm.
    2. The site uses templates. If you need suggestions for their treatment you can find them here for example (look for Murray's hint):
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/700322?tstart=0 or in other threads if you use DW threads search funktion.
... or you come back with the concrete terms for "When I tried to delete some code it didn't move."

  • Can't edit greyed-out HTML [was: hi]

can anyone help us out we editing html file on dreamweaver, but some file can not be edited due to be grey or locked ... not to unlock it please help really appreciated
[Subject line amended by moderator for clarity]

If your page is mostly grayed out, it is most likely a child page created from a Template. You can only edit content within Editable Regions.  Everything else is controlled by the main template.dwt file.  For more info, hit F1 help and read about Dreamweaver Templates.

  • How can I edit Muse HTML structure?

I am trying to integrate a Google Adwords conversion tracking snippet onto a mobile landing page.  Google reviewed my code and gave me a snippet that needs to be added to a line of code that Muse created.  How can I make this change in Muse?  Or is there another way to access the code outside of Muse?

    Hi Gaurav,
I have been trying that.  The problem is that I need to include a Google "onclick" command in a spot that I can't edit.  I added Google Analytics and other Google Adwords Conversion Tracking snippets utilizing the Object Menu -> insert HTML and those are working fine.  It is the onclick command on the phone number that I cannot get to work.  The Google Adwords team told me that I need to add the "onclick" command into the script that Muse created for the actual hyperlink/button.  (the bold is what they are telling me needs to be added)
    <a class="nonblock nontext rounded-corners Phone-Number-Blue clearfix grpelem" id="u226-6" href="tel:509-676-xxxx" onclick="goog_report_conversion('tel:509-676-xxxx')"><!-- content --><p id="u226-4"><span title="(509) 676&#45;xxxx">(509) 6</span><span title="(509) 676&#45;xxxx" title="(509) 676&#45;xxxx" id="u226-2">7</span><span title="(509) 676&#45;xxxx">6&#45;xxxx</span></p></a>
All of my Google page conversion tracking is working just fine.  But I have not been able to make the conversion tracking for the telephone number on a mobile landing page.  Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you.

  • Can't Edit Valid CSS/HTML page with DW

I have a page that contains valid HTML and CSS but it is VERY

    Hi there,

Thank you very much for your help!

I barely understand ur script because it's not fully in English but I guess I could say u are trying to update the ortner_terminate table right?I think for the date u should change like below.
    $date = date("Y-m-d", strtotime($_POST['datum']));
    if ((isset($_POST["MM_update"])) && ($_POST["MM_update"] == "form1")) {
      $updateSQL = sprintf("UPDATE ortner_termine SET datum='$date', was=%s, beschreibung=%s, wo=%s, Uhrzeit=%s WHERE id=%s",
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['was'], "text"),
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['beschreibung'], "text"),
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['wo'], "text"),
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['uhrzeit'], "text"),
                           GetSQLValueString($_POST['id'], "int"));
      mysql_select_db($database_Ortner_db, $Ortner_db);
      $Result1 = mysql_query($updateSQL, $Ortner_db) or die(mysql_error());
Well, I could say u are trying to display the data on form once u clicked the option from list menu. U have to change the termin_edit recordset by filter it as below.
Not using the URL parameter since u are trying to view the data on the same page.

  • Can I Edit SD and HDV footage at the same time in CS4?

I have a Sony PD 150 camcorder and I'm looking at buying a Sony HDR-HC# HDV 1080i camcorder to use as a second camera on video shoots.  Can I edit footage from both cameras on the same timeline in CS4?    I'm using a PC, running Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002 with an Intel (R) Pentium (R) 2.80 GB processor with 2.5 GB of RAM.  Thanks!
    Lewis B.

Do you already have CS4 ?
CS5 is days away.  9 Days for the first look.
I have a Windows XP 2005 with 3.4GHz with 4GB of ram and it cant handle HDV for HD video.
I have a Sony HVR Z1U and use the in camera down-rez and edit in SD just fine.
Like said before you really need a new computer to edit the HDV but if your going to DVD then your only using SD anyway.
But to answer you question you can mix formats with CS4.
As you can see my system ranks second from last on Bills Benchmark tests.

  • Is it true that I can't change the Registration Confirmation HTML page?

I am using Connect 8 on Win2000 using Firefox. I am using Adobe's Connect as an Adobe hosted service, currently on a trial but happy to convert the service if I can iron out all difficulties.
After creating Curriculum, I created an event and set up a number of guests. This is training, not really an event, but it is a series of online modules that the class attendees will need to view before the face-to-face classes started. Most things went well (allowing for user error, of course ;-) ), but when the attendees got their invitations and then went to the registration page, after completing this page, they got an HTML page that said
"Thank you for your registration request. Your information has been submitted to the event host."
I can preview this page at "http://meetxxx.adobeconnect.com/e1qrzebyxs7/event/registration_confirm.html"...but I can't change it here.
I did searches here, and I came up with 2 thoughts: (1) I can buy Adobe Contribute to update that page (which I otherwise would have no use for), or wait until Connect 9 (Q1 2012) where changing this page will be an available feature.
Is this it? Do I have no way of accessing that page via FTP? I would be more than happy to grab that page, update the text (which is all I want to do), and reload to that folder.
The problem is that the default message on the page assumes that the administrator is going to have to see the registration in order to approve it...but I have already indicated on the set up that I don't need to approve registrations, but that the email with the link to the online modules can be sent immediately (which happens)...so I want this page to say something like "Thank you for your registration request. You will be sent an email shortly with the link to the online modules."
Do I really have no alternative to change a message on a page that has clearly inappropriate text for the situation?
    Thanks!
    Bill

Thanks, but unfortunately, this is not a message, it is the HTML page that it shown after a student registers for a course. I can see how to preview it at
but I can't edit it here, nor anywhere else I can find...note that I am looking the "Registration Confirmation" link (last one).

  • Message says can't edit because "already editing", except no one is!

So, here's the deal: My client got a new computer and
installed the latest version of Contribute on that new computer.
But then when she went to edit her website content through
Contribute, she got a message saying "You can't edit this page
because you're already editing it on another computer." So then she
went and double checked that she did not have any drafts on her old
computer, and she did not. She could, however, still edit pages
from her old computer. Unfortunately, though, this is not a good
long term solution. After she contacted me (the site
administrator), I manually deleted the settings file in the _mm
folder and allowed a new settings file to be created, (which went
fine). I also manually deleted the .LCK files for site pages. She
still wasn't able to edit any pages from her new computer, same
error. So then I deleted her user profile and sent her a new
connection key. Same thing. Then I sent someone else in my client's
business a separate connection key, and when trying to edit, this
second person got the message "You can't edit this page because X
is already editing it on another computer" ("X" being the first
person). The same message comes up regardless of the page that
either one of them try to edit. In trying to figure out what might
be going on, it seems that it might have to do with the fact that
the version on my client's older computer is CS2, but on the newer
computer it is CS3. I'm tempted to suggest that my client uninstall
Contribute from her old computer, but if she does that and then it
STILL doesn't work, then she will have no way to edit the site at
all, and she will be even MORE frustrated than she already is! I've
tried setting Contribute admin preferences to both "transition
mode" and "compatibility mode" - it doesn't seem to make a
difference. Could anyone tell me how this problem might be
resolved? I/we would be very, very grateful. Thank you.

Hello there, I'm also getting this problem with a client of mine, she's about to have a heart attack from the stress this is causing her.
Bascially she had Contribute 3 but her system died we got another one up and running for her and installed Contribute 3 and some time after she started getting the problems reported above. Since then I have removed contribute from her computer and any other computer that she had used it on. She's even upgraded to Contribute 4. I've deleted all .lck files I can see on the web server and she still gets this error.
I've tried re-creating the connection as in one of the above posts and no luck. When I watch this folder C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\Contribute CS4\en_GB\Sites\Site1 I can see the .lck files being created as soon as I clcik edit so this has to be a contribute issue even if remove the .lck files I'm still stuck in a loop. This only happens on the home page index.html all other pages can be changed.
To be honest I can't believe that a company as big Adobe can let this situation go on for so long. Maybe it would be a good idea to have an over-ride for this. After all it is supposed to be a working product all be it end of life. I can say now, there is no way I could ever reccoemnd this or any other updated product at the moment simply because I can't be sure that Adobe will fix and issue or even care.
