Can't email actual size photo

Hey guys, I have an iPhone 4 32gig AT&T. I wanted to email some photos and had the drop down option before to send as small, medium, large, actual size but  that drop down option no longer exists. All pics are now sent as small size. I forced closed mail and powered down my iphone, no luck. No settings were changed since I lasted had that option.

I had the same problem w/ my new IP4
here's the fix:
go to settings/mail
tap your acct
when the next window opens, first of all, make sure your acct is turned on , then scroll down to smtp and tap that to open the next window.
Make sure your primary server is turned on as well.
then go down to the AT&T smtp server and turn it on also.
(this will ensure your mail goes out even if your primary server is down)
done.
now go back to your camera or photo app and try sending a pic or vid.
Apple support has informed me that it is normal for the pic/vid to be sent w/out any msg. indicating that it has done so. you'll just have to check it by sending something to yourself.
Hope this solves your prob

  • Can I eMail Original Size Photos if I Optimise Photo Storage

    Hi guys,
    I'd like to free up space on my iPhone by enabling the "Optimise iPhone Storage" option for photos.
    The only thing holding me back is my necessity to sometimes email &/or MMS the original sized photos.
    If I optimise my storage can I email or message the originals?
    Thanx.

    Sorry, but that doesn't sound very convincing.
    If I "Optimise iPhone Storage" the large sized original picture is stored in the cloud.
    It is replaced on the device by a smaller version.
    If I try to email the photo can the original large size file be sent.

  • IPhoto on yosemite cannot send actual size photo

    After upgrading to Yosemite, iPhoto is not sending pictures in the Actual size even after selecting that option under share -> email -> Actual Size (full quality). On the email, the message size is cut by half of the actual size of the picture. Can someone fix the bug?

    I think, the problem is Mail. After sharing the photo to Mail in iPhoto, the  Mail window will open with the image size set to "Medium".  Have you checked the Mail window, if the size menu is set correctly?
    Setting the size to "Actual size" will send a jpeg with the correct pixel size, but a slighter larger compression. A previously 2.5 MB jpeg will arrive at 1.9 JPEG.
    If you want be sure, that Mail will transfer the original image file without any additional compression, export the original image file from iPhoto, use "File > Compress" and attach the zip file to the mail.

  • TS3276 the images (attachments) are automatically resized (smaller) when I send them to a customer. My email screen does not show a drop down menu box where you can leave as actual size. Is there a setting elsewhere that can be set.

    Any suggestions on problem I have. I receive images, say a file that is 3 mgs through email on Safari mail and when I try to resend it or forward it or any other larger file, when it sends the file is reduced by about 1/3. My screen does not show and drop down menu with a feature to keep actual size or reduce that is suggested when I looked up solutions to the problem.  I can't find a setting anywhere in mail that I can change to make sure my files are kept at actual size. I figure a setting got changed -don't know how - but it happened about a month ago. Caused problems as I work in graphics can't send files to clients as they come out too small. Any suggestions on how to fix.
    Thanks

    What email program are you using? And what do you mean by "Safari mail"?

  • Sending "Actual Size" photos

    Hi- I tried to email a photo from iPhoto with the "actual Size" setting. But, it was "too large" for my server. So, is there something on my MacBook that will allow me to compress some photos and send them actual size in an email. Similar to zip files. Please walk me through this process. Thanks for your help.

    Nope. You really can't put ten pounds in a five pound bag. The problem is that the "jpg" format is already compressed. You're trying to condense orange juice that's already been condensed!
    You used "Zip" as an example and, yes, you can Zip a jpg but it won't be any smaller than the original jpg and frequently it's a bit larger.
    The reality is that email is lousy for photos (and even worse for movies). Kinda like getting a new refrigerator delivered to your curbside mailbox. Your best solution is to rent server space (e.g., dot-Mac). Upload your photos and other large files to the server and allow friends and family to download from there.

  • We can see thumbnails of horizontal photos but can't see full size photos after data transfer to new mac

    hello,
    We just updated to a new mac from a 7 year old Mac because the logic board died. =The Apple reseller did a data transfer and now we cannot see full size photos on our new screen. We see the thumb nails but when we try to open a photo in the photo section of the library we get a black screen with an exclaimation mark. How do we fix this?
    thanks!

    When you first boot your new Mac, it will boot into Setup Assistant. It will walk you through registration and then ask you if you want to migrate. Choose the disk you want to migrate from and choose all settings. No newer apps will be overwritten with older ones. No third party software will be lost. Although you should check compatiblity of apps with ML.

  • IPhone apps used to appear in iPhone size on iPad.  Since updating to iOS7.0, these apps are HUGE and unreadable.  How can I display actual size in iOS 7.0?

    I realize this is a Mac forum, but I am sure there are iOS users here as well.  My problem is that apps made specifically for iPhone used to display in regular iPhone size on the iPad which was fine --- it was workable.  Since upgrading to iOS 7.0, these apps are HUGE, filling the entire iPad screen.  How does one revert to the non-magnified appearance?

    I tried:
    01. Rebooting PC
    02. Rebooting iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad 2, iPad 3
    03. Stoppng and restarting Apple Mobile Support service
    04. Deleting backup in iTunes
    05. Buying music and transferring purchases
    06. Transferring photos
    07. Buying app and transferring purchases
    08. Deleteing and reinstalling iTunes
    09. Backup to the iCloud (failed as well)
    10. WIFI sync
    11. Return the iPod Touch to factory settings and reinstall from backup
    12. Return the iPod Touch to factory settings and install as new device
    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKED !!!  I still cannot backup because iTunes cannot start a session.
    My devices are completely vulnerable to loss.
    I have spent hours searching the Internet trying to find a solution.
    I have concluded that the iTunes software or its driver are at fault.

  • I "upgraded" to 10.8 Mountain Lion and now can only email one photo at a time

    With 10.8 I can now send only one photo at a time from iPhoto through Mail - e.g., two "small" photos with a combined file size of 400 kb will "resize (null)" and freeze Mail, whereas I can send one "actual size" photo 5 mb in size.  This stinks since before I could send multiple photos limited only by the size of my pipe.

    I am from France , and I have the same problem with multiple photos ! I have 2 IMacs, one gives no problem, and the other freeze while sending more than one photo!
    I did not find any solution (except using the mail module from IPhoto, or adding the photo by sliding manually  into mail)
    Are we the only 3 in the world having this problem?!
    More seriously, did you found any solution?
    Thank !

  • Spry Slide Show-how to use one size photo for large photo and thumbnail?

    Hi all,
    I'm am using Adobe's Spry Slide Show. I can only use one size photo 640x480px for both the large photo and the thumbnail.
    I changed the size of the small thumnail on the html:
                     <li><a href="Photos/TestPhoto640x480.jpg" width="490" height="367"><img src="Photos/TestPhoto640x480.jpg" width="63" height="47" alt="photos-1.jpg" /></a></li>
    The thumbnail looks fine until you hit Live View or Preview in Browser then photo comes in full size and you can only see the upper left hand corner.
    I assume that the java is doing this. But I have no training in Java.
    How can I change the Java Code so the thumbnail comes in at 63x47px?
    Many thanks.

    Wish I could use scaled down versions of the thumbnails-but I can't.
    Why not?
        img.src = info.src;
        img.style.width =  "490px";<!--Large Photo size on internet-changed from info.width + "px"; to "490px";  *********-->
        img.style.height =  "368px";<!--Large Photo size on internet-changed from info.height + "px"; to "368px";  *******-->
    You're shooting yourself in the foot with this.  It's overriding your HTML and CSS  values.
    As an FYI, Adobe Abandoned the Spry framework late last year.

    You might want to cut your losses right now and switch to something better suited to modern web devices & browsers.

  • Cannot print actual size when choosing several pages per paper

    I'm using Adobe Reader XI and trying to print a pdf (exported from InDesign)´where each page is in A5 format. I want to print two A5 pages for each A4 paper. However, when I click the button Several (or similar, I'm using Swedish version) there is a fixed 25 mm margin around each A5 page so that the pages are much reduced on the printout. I'd like to print actual size, and I think this was possible in a previous version. If I print one A5 per A4 paper I can print the actual size. I tried the button Print Format (equiv.) but the margins are fixed and cannot be changed. Awkward. Thanks for help or explanation why this is so.

    I have a little more information. I turned on "single hairline" border and as you can see, it's converting my square pages into "US Letter" pages BEFORE applying them two-to-a-page. So it's using my selection of "Paper Size" as both the source and destination paper size, rather than just the destination size, because my source is obviously 12x12 square (confirmed by looking at page properties in preview). Apple, please fix this

  • Lob size & actual Size

    Hi All,
    I can get the actual size of the lob from the following command
    select sum(dbms_lob.getlength (<lob column name>)) from <table_name>;
    & the size of the lob segment from dba_segments
    select bytes from dba_segments where segment_name ='<lob segment name>' and owner ='<table owner>';
    How can I combine both in the same query? That s actual size of the lob & the segment_size for the lob. I have tried to capture both in single query but in vain.
    can someone help?
    thanks

    This query should work for a single LOB column in a single table and takes into account the 2 segments needed for each LOB column:
    SQL> create table t(x int, y clob);
    Table created.
    SQL> set NULL null
    SQL> select segment_name, index_name from user_lobs;
    SEGMENT_NAME                   INDEX_NAME
    SYS_LOB0000015911C00002$$      SYS_IL0000015911C00002$$
    SQL> select v1.col_size, v2.seg_size from
      2  (select sum(dbms_lob.getlength(y)) as col_size from t) v1,
      3  (select sum(bytes) as seg_size from user_segments where segment_name in
      4   (
      5    (select segment_name from user_lobs where table_name='T' and column_name='Y')
      6    union
      7    (select index_name from user_lobs where table_name='T' and column_name='Y')
      8   )
      9   ) v2

  • How do I set up iPhoto '11 version 9.2.1 to send emails with medium/Large/actual size? I try sending photos to a publisher and iPhoto automatically shrinks them to about 40 kB.  Publisher needs between 0.5 and 7 MB.  My ISP has a limit of 12MB

    How can I get to email photos at higher resolution?
    My "iPhoto" or "Mail" automatically reduces photos to about 40 KB .
    My photos, taken with a  common Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20 include flora which I send to a publisher.
    I am fairly new to my MacBook (Mac S X Version 10.6.8).  I have been using it for a year.
    I found I could not successfully send Large or Full size photos.
    A few days ago I downloaded a new version of iPhoto (iPhoto '11 version 9.2.1).
    Again, although I get the option of choosing to send small/medium/large//full size photos, it actually only sends them as "Small" (ie about 40kb) which is useless to publish.  If I drag a picture onto the desktop (where my EXIF tells me it is full size) then attach it to an email by dragging, againg the sent email is at "small" size ~40KB).
    My ISP (Westnet) tells me that their maximum accepted size is 12 MB.
    I suspect that I have failed to set up iPhoto for this purpose.  (I am well into retirement but, although geriatric, did study University Physics about half a century ago)

  • How do I cancel an email I tried to send--I was a dolt and sent one with 8 photos (actual size) and my phone has been trying to send for four days.  Thank you!  Jeff

    Greetings from Beantown!
    I was a dolt and tried to email 8 photos (actual size) from my iPhone 4S and now my phone has been "working" trying to send for four days.  Verizon has texted me that all my data for monthly plan is now used up and I am not able to "cancel" send for the message.  Does anyone know how to cancel an email that is being sent?
    Many thanks,
    Jeff

    Put your phone in Airplane mode, go to the mail app & see if you can delete the stuck mail now. If not, while still in Airplane mode, send yourself an email, it will go to the outbox, see if you can now delete both.

  • Emailing photos actual size

    My emailed photo is being automatically reduced to a much smaller size, even when I select 'actual' size, and it tells me it is 3.2MBs, the actual file size sent is 118kb. I have tried sending in various ways and the same thing happens-this photo is for a newspaper article therefore they need it in the original size. How can I do this?

    When Mail open's and the e-mail window is opened look in the lower right hand corner and set the image size to actual - Also make sure you are exporting the image as actual size from your photo edit app.
