Can't email pics

I am trying to email 4 pics using the email option on iphoto. I get as far as finished composing the photos for email and that's as far as it goes. The photos never show up in an email form. What I get instead is the whirling pizza wheel after which I have to force quit ophoto.
I ended up draggingthe photos to the desktop and sending them as attachments to email. The photos however, were very large doing it that way.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening would be appreciated.

Thank you eew..Actually, it sort of righted itself after a few tries. I have often used this option so I'm sure my email selection (apple mail) is selected in my preferences. I'm not sure why it suddenly started to work again. That was the second time it happened.

I'm trying to email pics I have on my I pad2  through my yahoo mail. The message are not leaving the outbox, and I'm getting the unable to sent email message

    Hi,
Have you had the Yahoo account working in iChat 6 or Messages 7.x.x ?
I see any-api.login.lga1.b.yahoo.com in my Little Snitch (menu bar drop down)
The Pop up to accept listed api.login.yahoo.com which is what the app lists as the Login server.
There are others as well (Buddy pics and the like)
    Network Monitor pic
    Little Snitch rules pic
My Yahoo account is signing without any issues.
You also seem to have done the most common things to sort this.
Close Messages and FaceTime if open
Try opening Activity Monitor in Application/Utilities and find imagent (it will be in lower case and have no icon)
Highlight and then use the Quit option top left then confirm a Force Quit.
You may see the item restart straight away at the top of the list.
    Try a Message restart now.

  • Can't email pics anymore

so i know that you have to email people pics instead of doing MMS, but it's not working anymore. My friend has a verizon wireless phone and he sends me pictures all the time, but when i try to send him something, mailor deamon gives me a message that says something about the connection being rejected i think. is anyone else having this problem and can help me out??

I have had this problem with Verizon as well. When it happens, I ask the person with Verizon to update their phone - *228 then option 2. This has fixed the issue for me.
    Hope it works for you.

PRESS AND HOLD THE IMAGE IN THE EMAIL UNTIL THE OPTION TO 'SAVE IMAGE' APPEARS THEN TAP ON THAT.
See how annoying really large text is?  Don't do that next time.

  • I can't email photos from photo app

After upgrading to ios4 on my 3GS I can no longer email pics from Photos. It will attach the pic to an email message, but after hitting send, it returns to the pic without sending the email. The only way to do this is to copy the photo then open mail and paste it into a message

I had the same problem w/ my new IP4
    here's the fix:
    go to settings/mail
    tap your acct
when the next window opens, first of all, make sure your acct is turned on , then scroll down to smtp and tap that to open the next window.
Make sure your primary server is turned on as well.
then go down to the AT&T smtp server and turn it on also.
(this will ensure your mail goes out even if your primary server is down)
    done.
now go back to your camera or photo app and try sending a pic or vid.
Apple support has informed me that it is normal for the pic/vid to be sent w/out any msg. indicating that it has done so. you'll just have to check it by sending something to yourself.
    Hope this solves your prob

  • 8350i Email pics error

    Greetings!
For some reason when I email pics I took with my Blackberry camera to several different email addresses, the files cannot be opened. I get an error message stating "unsupported or incorrect file type" in all windows photo apps.  The files all have .jpg extensions but won't open.
I tried renaming them with no success.  Any advice?  Thanks!

When you register the host routing table that should send any missing service books to your phone. Also on your carrier's BIS website there should be a "Send Service Books" button you can hit to send them to your phone. If doing those don't work your carrier should be able to push them to your device from their end
If someone has been helpful please consider giving them kudos by clicking the star to the left of their post.

  • How can I match pic description and file names?

I hate bunches of pictures called DCSNXXXX on my HD, as they are imported from my camera. Most of my last two year´s imports have this as file name.
I was thrilled to see in iPhoto 08 a 'Batch Change' option on the menu, and used it right away to change picture names by groups.
I was dissapointed to find out though that the actual file name remains the same.
How can I match name in iPhoto 08 with file name?
    Thanks
    J

    J
You can't. And that Batch Change command has been there for the last several versions too.
When you name a Picture in iPhoto you are adding a title to the photo, not changing the Filename. Filenames are irrelevant in iPhoto. The entire point of iPhoto is that you organise your photos without recourse to your files. So, searching in iPhoto is about searching for a Photo, not a file. Hence the title is more important than the filename.
Are you trying to find the file?
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
Finally, if you export the file using the File -> Export command, then you can use the Title as a Filename on the exported version.
If you really want to rename the files, then you will need to do this before you import them to iPhoto. Renaming them once they are in the Library will corrupt your Library.
    Regards
    TD

  • How can i resize pics for wallpaper?

can i resize pics to fit as wallpaper without it stretching?

Maybe there is a better way, but I can offer you my
Screen resolution for iPhone 4 is 640×960 and for the iPhone 5 is 640×1136
You should make a picture 640 pixels wide and of reasonable height, minding the lowest row of icons. Very high picture will be distorted.
The wallpaper can be prepared using any picture (camera, Google, etc) by resizing in your computer or with the help of special app (I use the free "SimpleResize").
If you use the computer, then send the ready picture to yourself by email, then save it to the Camera Roll.
    Use Settings>Wallpaper & Brightness>Choose Wallpaper>Photos>Camera Roll
    Good Luck

  • PSE 10- Unable to email pics via Adobe email.

When trying to email pics via Adobe email for the first time, they send you a "code" ( my words ) and ask you to email it back to them so it may be verified.. My problem is that the "code" to my email is never received. Where is it? We've tried checking if there is a blocker on my computer and one of the more promising suggeations from the community, but without success. Good advice on this will be much appreciated. Thank you.

On some of the forums, similar issues were raised and it came out that ISP (or something similar) was causing some issues in this case. Can you try this scenario (that is sending mail via Adobe mail services) with a Gmail id and check the inbox/spam folder of Gmail for a mail from [email protected]?

  • Email pic forwarding problems

    Scenario:
I receive email with pictures on my 3Gs
I forward email to my wife's 3Gs, but she doesn't get the pictures
Why? Both phones are 3Gs, both of us use gmail, but it seems that we can't receive picture emails from other iPhones.

I have the same problem. My husband forwards me emails with photos embedded or attached, and they don't show up in the email on my 3Gs.
I have the same problem with the new iPad.
If I go to the Windows Vista desktop, however, they open up with all the photos just fine.
I must have some setting not right on my devices somehow. The phone syncs with a Mac laptop, the iPad with the Windows desktop, so it's not just the one iTunes.
Is there a setting either on the devices or in the iTunes programs that limits or prevents the email pics from opening?

  • Treo 700wx Sprint --Can't text pics

I have a new treo wx with Sprint.  I can't text pics?  I can only email.
    Help?
Post relates to: Treo 700wx (Sprint)

I also have this problem with my treo 700wx and I have the Sprint data plan. I have tried everything and have come to the conclusion that this is NOT part of this phone's list of things to do. I agree it should but it just doesn't. I purchased mine used but it is in excellent shape. I had a motorola clutch before and had no problems sending pic in text. SO unfortunately this phone does NOT offer this

'The sender address (my email address) was rejected by the server smtp.tiscali.co.uk'
I can receive incoming mail ok and I can send email from other Apple devices. The problem seems confined to my Mac Book Pro.

  • TS3276 I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails. This just started happening. I have an iPhone and I can send emails from my phone fine. It's just not working on my Macbook. Every time I try to send an email it goes straight to my outbox. Can anyone

I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails. This just started happening. I have an iPhone and I can send emails from my phone fine. It's just not working on my Macbook. Every time I try to send an email it goes straight to my outbox. Can anyone help?

Thank you for heading me in the right direction.  I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information).   I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)??  In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port:  465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer."  Authentication:  Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in.  After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message:  "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.).  The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587.  Verify your account settings and try again."  That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails.  I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me.  Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input!  Much appreciated!
