Can't enable WiFi in iOS 7

My wife has an iPhone 4s and upgraded to iOS7 yesterday.
Today, she's unable to turn on wifi. Even if we go into wifi in the system prefrences, it's like it's diabled. It won't toggle.
If I go in via the drawer at the bottom, it allows me to turn on wifi, but it doesn't actually turn it on.
Airplane mode isn't on. I tried to restart the phone and do a hard refresh and nothing helped.
It's connecting to 3G just fine.

Have the same issues with my moms 4s. I was like why did you upgrade to 7. Everyone always rushes to install the latest. Now it broken. Same deal here. Hold home buuton untill siri comes on. The say "siri please tuen on the wifi". Then it does it. Magic.
But in control center or serttings wifi is still greyed out. My mom went to apple store today and they said the wifi engine is burned out and will be 200 to fix. They didn't even run diagnostic just rudely said wifi engine is burned out.
I did itunes restore and backup. Setup as new device. The wifi turned on again but really slow and no networks found. The after restore I did backup. I mean resotred the phone using the backup. And now don't know what I installed or messed with but the wifi is still fu**ed up. Not turning back on. Still greyed out.

It sounds like your phone touchscreen is not consistently working for you after updating to iOS 8. I can see how that would be pretty frustrating. It sounds to me like this could be a software issue or an issue with the screen itself. I would start with the troubleshooting in the following article to help troubleshoot the screen itself:

Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If that does not resolve the issue, I would next quit all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

I just updated my phone to the ios 6.0.1 but i cant access the wifi. When i go to my wofi setting the box is grayed out. I know that there is the ios 6.0.2 for the iphone 5 that fixes this bug. Can the iphone 4s download the 6.0.2 update? I haven't gotten the option yet.

A little effort on your part would have revealed that 6.0.2 is only for the iPhone5 and iPad mini as well as this article on how to address Wi-Fi being grayed out.

Can't use WiFi since IOS 8 & 8.0.2 for apps downloads.

Before IOS 8.0 I had no problems with anything. Since installing IOS 8.0 I have lost the ability to download any apps via my Wi-Fi. I installed IOS 8.0.2 hoping that would fix the problem but it did not. Cellular downloads just fine but not using Wi-Fi. I am using an IPhone 5 with IOS 8.0.2. My wife has the IPhone 5S and she had the same problem until I installed her phone with IOS 8.0.2 and now the Wi-Fi download works for apps. Well this is ridiculous, Apple releases a new ios and now my wifi wont work. To add insult to injury after spending hours with support on the phone and then trying to go to the Apple store they offer to replace my iPhone for $269. I tried to get to the Apple store and due to traffic I was 13 minutes late. Come to find out that after 10 minutes they give your appointment away! How very special. Hey Apple how about fixing the problem you created with your new IOS - should change the name to POS because that is what it is. My phone is practically useless and now I am blowing through my data plan just trying to get mail and browse the web. 100's of people can't be wrong. I have restored my phone to factory settings which I really did not want to do and now I had to start from scratch with a clean install only to have NO improvement. I have tried everything I can find online with no help from any of the suggestions out there. When are they going to own up to this and finally do something to fix it??

From this morning my phone could not connect wifi anymore. tired to rest the network setting also helpless. during open the wifi setting, it seem lack from software. Sometime not respond. Can't enable 2G on ios 8.1

I only have option between LTE and 3G. Why not 2G. I have good signal of 3G and LTE outside of the building, in my flat it is very poor signal, that is way I miss enabling 2G. The battery life is very short when I am in the flat using 3G.

Keyboard shortcuts to enable wifi, anyone?!

How can I use my Bluetooth keyboard to turn on wifi on my Mac mini? I can navigate to the 'network' screen, and highlight 'wifi', but I can't select the 'turn wifi on' option :( I've tried everything, and ive googled everything, I've already got pages of shortcuts but I just can't enable wifi, it's driving me crazy!! Pleeeease help me!!

Well Mouse keys is in Universal Access, but without a pointing device, the only possibility is pressing option key 5 times in a row if that'd been checked already, (alt key for you).

I'm also affected by this bug in exactly the same way as you.
Some users have had success by closing iTunes, enetering (on OS 10.9) settings --> network --> edit locations, then create a new location with the same wifi/network settings. Then restarting iTunes.
Others have had some success by editing settings --> iCloud --> de-selecting keychain
neither of these fixes have worked for me.
It appears that the iPad can "see" iTunes running on my iMac because when I open settings --> general --> 'iTunes wifi sync', "sync now" is greyed out if iTunes is not running. When iTunes is started, "sync now" is enabled but just doesn't work. Nor does the iPad appear in iTunes.

You probably should not be using a keyboard bluetooth profile for a scanner, I am not a developer for apple so do not know the location for you to find out the correct profile you should be using for an input device that is not a keyboard. Sorry,

You can enable battery % on ipod touch 4g without jailbreaking it you can use backup bot for itunes. Thats how i enabled it on mine. Step 1: goto http://www.icopybot.com/ibackupbot_setup.exe download and install it if you have windows. Step 2: Next create a backup of your device in iTunes and then CLOSE iTunes (or else you may run into problems later on) do not lock the backup with a password. Step 3: Open iBackupBot. Click the backup you just made Next click "Path" to sort by Path. Step 4: Look for Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist and double click it. On the registration screen that comes up, hit cancel. Step 5: Find <dict> and create a new line after it. Then add this:
<key>SBShowBatteryLevel</key>
<true/>
Step 6: Hit CTRL + S or just the save button at the top left corner of that editor window. Now close the window.
Step 7: Right click that same backup you just edited
Step 8: click restore
Step 9: Done! If you don't see the changes, reboot your iPod.

i Was considerinf buying a macbook pro, but am reconsidering spending such an amount of money on a company that can screw up such a basic function. I mean you can have your iOS 8 back if this is what it means, I don't want to use your health Kit app.

You cannot 'roll back' your iOS. That's never been supported or allowed by Apple (with only one exception).

It's not the iOS. It may be a setting on your iPhone or the wi-fi network, or a hardware issue. But it's not the iOS. If it was, then everyone's iPhone 5S using the same iOS would not be working, and that's not the case.
Troubleshoot your issue.
