On secure websites with the phone held horizontal Firefox doesn't allow typing of login information because the cursor always jumps to begin of the line.
The problem only occurs with the XT9 text recognition

They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Can't / can't reliably connect to some secure websites
Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro, OS X version 10.7.5; processor 2.3Ghz Inel Core i5, Memory 4GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.
A few days ago I deleted my browsing history and cookies in Safari and Google Chrome. Shortly after I couldn't access www.google.com -- I was told it couldn't establish a secure connection. Then hotmail.com also started getting the same message. After rebooting and resetting my broadband hub, I was able to connect to google.com but not hotmail.com. Some other secure websites were also blocked.
Since then I've been able to connect to all the other secure websites I use regularly except hotmail.com (and ANY secure sites related to man). However, today, for no reason it just stopped working again for google.com and other places, like wordpress.com. After a reboot it seemed happy, but not for very long.
What is happening? I can't access these sites in either Safari or Google Chrome, which makes me think it's a mac problem.

I am disappointed when after installing FF4 I found I had lost all my login data to all websites.
I installed FF 4 and that was fine.
However when I then went to my clubs website I found that my login data had been lost and I have had to re sign up to all the clubs I belong to including my own.
Some clubs I have been a member of for a long time and have forgotten the details so I have to reapply.
All very frustrating and time consuming.I have previously used a recovery app to get back my lost contacts and photos. I just checked the app on my mac and found out it provides recovery option for calendar so it may help in your case.

I can't access my company's secure website- on Aventail- from my ipad 2 with Firefox Home.

You should be able to use the OpenVPN Connect app running on your iPad to connect your iPad to the VPN directly. It is an official OpenVPN client for iOS devices.
In what way is it "not compatible"? Have you tried it? Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client, so your school's VPN is using the OpenVPN protocol. That means any OpenVPN client should be able to access it. (It is possible, but unlikely, that your school uses encryption that is not available on the iPad, but that would be very unusual.)
Otherwise, a remote control app on your iPad would let you control your Mac at home. "Back to My Mac", for example, would allow you to control your Mac remotely. The tricky part of this is that usually a VPN is set up to send all Internet traffic via the VPN server, and I'm not sure how that would work with "Back to My Mac". -
Can I access all dates that a website has been visited?
I have been utilizing the History function to see when a page was last visited and how many times it has been visited.
I would like to see every instance of when I have visited a page. For example, I have visited google.com 27 times in the last month; I can see that I last visited google.com yesterday. But, I would like to see a list of every date/time that I visited google.com in the past month.
Is this possible?

You will have to use the SQLite Manager extension to see all visit dates.
You can use this query and change url LIKE '%google.com%' to the URL that you want to check.<br />

Can't enter a date into a table cell the way I want to
I am trying to put "Jul 2008" in a table cell but every time I remove focus from it, it changes to "Jul 1, 2008". This is very annoying, how can I turn this off?
I solved this by making the "Cell Format" "Text" using the Inspector.

There should be a + sign in the lower right corner. Tap that to add an event. If there is no + sign - go to Settings>iCloud>Calendar and toggle the setting on and off.
If you want to sync your calendar with iCloud - leave it on - but don't sync the calendar from your computer or you may get duplicate entries. -

Certain PDF files (dynamic XFA forms) created in Adobe LiveCycle can only be opened in Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. When you try to open these files in an alternative PDF viewer, then you will see this error message.
Unfortunately, it's not easy remove this message and modify the PDF so that it can be opened in alternative PDF viewers. The person who created the original form must re-create the form using options that do not restrict which PDF viewers can open and display the file.
Adobe has made the decision that since very few non-Adobe products support these special PDF files, that it is better to show this message -- and require the user to download Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat -- than it is to let the PDF viewer try to render the document. You might want to ask the user to Reader-extend the documents so that you can view it with Adobe Reader.

I downloaded 4 songs at the same time. The first and the last songs in the list play fine. If I try to play the second or third I get the message that I need to authorise this computer. I enter my id and password and it will say I've already authorised 2 out of my 5 computers (I don't know what other one I've authorised) then it will just start playing the last song out of those four.
Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.
