Can't enter my new Apple ID on my iphone
The email I have been using for my apple ID is about to expire. I went on the computer and synced my Apple ID with my gmail account. I am trying to download new apps on my phone but my phone is still synced with the old email/old apple ID. When I click on the address to change it, it is grey and won't let me. I have tried everything including trying to delete my icloud account. To do this I need to verify my password for my Apple ID, which is the old email address and no longer works. Help!
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Apple ID = Sign Out... Then Sign In using the preferred Apple ID.
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Just I create a new Apple ID, on the website of apple and when I was trying to use it on my iphone, send my someones messages that this accounted hasn´t used on Itunes, and later send my to the apple store... I tried to changed by Setting but was the same problem.

If you want to use your exisiting Apple ID on your iPad, you need to:
1. Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store and sign out the new ID, and then sign on the old one
2. Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and delete the iCloud account, and the sign back onto iCloud using the old ID
You still have not indindated why you are saying that using your old ID originally "didn't work". What do you mean by that? Did you get some sort of error when you tried to sign on with your exisiting Apple ID?

To use iCloud your iPhones and your Macs should all be signed into the same account, what are you trying to achieve.?

I have an iCloud account that I've been using for a long time (since the @mac.com days) which has everything Apple of mine asociated with it (iTunes purchases, AppleCare registrations, Cloud Storage).
I don't use that email anymore. I have a gmail that I've been using for a number of years now. My question is how I can set up a new Apple ID that the @gmail.com email address is the actual ID itself, and not just the Primary Email Address for the the @me.com/@icloud.com. I want to be able to control everything of mine (including iTunes/App Store purchases) on the new ID and just ditch the old email once and for all.
Please let me know if you need clarification on anything. Any feedback is appreciated.
Note: Apple doesn't allow iCloud accounts (Apple IDs) ending in @me.com, @icloud.com, or @mac.com to be changed.It means you have to enter your credit card and billing information (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2589), or create an ID without a credit card as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534.

Tap - Settings/iTunes & App Store/Apple ID
In the next window tap view Apple ID and enter password and click okay.
You are now securly linked to your itunes account - tap Payment information and change the credit card details and then done/done. -
I did not do my research before changing my Apple ID from an outdated email address to a current one. I just changed and verified and though I was all set. WRONG! Now I cannot sign in to iCloud because it will not let me enter the new Apple ID. I read the 10/30/13 randers4 post to just change your Apple ID back then sign in and change it to the new email address again and then you can sign in, but I cannot change back to the prior email address Apple ID because that is no longer an active email account (or at least not mine). Any thoughts on how to get signed into iCloud when it does not allow me to type in the new Apple ID and the old Apple ID no longer exists.
I see that many people have asked, but no one has come up with a solution that I found.
Thanks for any help!This did not work for me. My old email account for iCloud still pops up on my screen every time I open my macbook. I've deleted it, reset it, every thing I can think of and it still shows up. I think six months of this is more than enough time to wait.

Hi Ross, before getting so heavy handed:
1] Reapply the 10.4.6 Combo Updater or apply the 10.4.8 Combo Updater as this has done wondrous things for some folks. Follow standard precautions re updates/upgrades.
2] Do a Forum Search, all forums, on any confusion. If find no help then

I created a new apple id for my iphone and ipad which work great and allow me to access Icloud. on my macbook air I can't get it to use my new apple id for icloud. It keeps going back to my old apple id and doesn't afford me to alter it. I use system preferences-icloud and it just wants to verify the old apple id but doesn't afford me the opportunity to delete teh account or edit it like the iphone5 and ipad. Help?

Yes, you can use the 85 watt adaptor. You cannot use the new adaptors because your computer is not equipped with the proper MagSafe connector. But you can use the older MBP adaptors as well as a 60 watt replacement adaptor. All can be found at Apple's Online Store.
