Can't enter password for Actiontek Setup Utility

So I'm trying to access the Actiontek setup pages at 192.168.1.1. I enter "admin" as my username but when i go to enter my password, every time I hit a key, three letters appear making it impossible for me to enter my password. So I can't get into the utility. Anyone else having this issue?
Tried it on two different computers.

Tried it on two different computers.
The router does not echo back what you type, but displays asterisks instead. Security feature incase someone is looking over your shoulder. Type password or password1 and ignore what is displayed.

I have an ipod touch I have had for over 2 years. One day it just pops up that I have to wait over 4 million minutes before I can even enter my password to open it. I realize that it is a security thing, but it is a malfunction in my ipod. Since Apple doesnt give a crap because their warranties are so short, they say that the only thing I can do is restore it, which will erase pictures along with tons of songs I have downloaded that I will have to repay for since you can only download once. The computer it is backed up on is 2000 miles away. I know what my password is... Is there a way to get this bypassed so that I can enter my password before waiting 5 million minutes to use it again?

according to this article, the only thing you could try is this:
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present.

I cannot find where to enter the password in itune for the remote application, when I clic on my ipod in devices, I can only change the name of the ipod. Any ideas

Firstly, remote won't work with your iPod plugged in (USB).
Try disconnecting, close iTunes, restart it, launch remote on the Touch.
If all is well you should see your Touch in devices with a small remote icon next to it, click it and do the rsest.
If not have a quick search of this forum, lots of tips on connecting already discussed.

Can't enter password for wireless router!

New Verizon MI424WR Rev.F wireless router Win7 Pro (64) & Vista Business (32) laptop I reset the password and logged in once. Since then I have been unable to enter the password to log in again. Every time I press a single key the password box shows (3) dots instead of a single dot (representing the character entered) I get a "login failed" error when I ignore the number of dots displayed. I have tried the following: Reset the password through In-Home Agent. Wireless keyboard & USB keyboard Firefox browser& IE browser Rebooting the router Rebooting the computer The same thing happens from my laptop connected to the wireless network. What is going on?

The "3 dot" thing is intentional, and not a problem. It's a method of "security thru obsfucation" to hinder "shoulder-surfers". What are you entering for the password?

Keep getting a mail pop up "enter password for account "SBC." ATT says I need to update my Mac mail server program. Anyone know how I can do this?

I keep getting an annoying pop up for mail "Enter password for account "SBC." I enter my password but it still pops up. But I can still get my mail when I click on "Get mail." I recently changed my ATT U-Verse password…and Mail quit working… it wouldn't send or receive, Safari worked fine. I tried to send an email and a warning message popped up, "Mail, Contacts and Calendars preferences can't connect to the Yahoo account "bellsouth.net". In smaller type the next sentence read, "Enter the password for user [email protected]". The Password box was highlighted in blue so I just typed in my new password and my email message was immediately sent…but… I still couldn't receive messages AND the above "can't connect" warning message kept popping up on the screen at random.
Here's the Fix that worked for me. (The problem is that the new password was changed/updated on the keychains "smpt.att.yahoo.com" name-but- the name "pop.att.yahoo.com" didn't update to my new password).
Go to your Utility windows and select Keychain Access. Under Category select Passwords. Now check your password for your current (newest dated) name, "smpt.att.yahoo.com". Now check the password under, "pop.att.yahoo.com". Mine wasn't the same as my newest password found in my
"smpt.att.yahoo.com" window so I deleted my old password in the "pop.att.yahoo.com" window and typed in my new password, then selected "Save Changes". MY MAIL NOW WORKED…and no more warning messages cropped up. Problem was fixed.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Once I enter password for myself (administrator) spinning takes longer than normal and doesn't log in but displays a no sign (circle w line through it) when attempting to login from guest account it takes me to screen that says that the computer will restart to a safe safari system for the guest user. I waited for a longer time and the grey denim screen comes up. By the apple in left upper corner it said I think LSA? Then safari menu bar. "Mail" can't remember password for cloud mail

In preparation for the iCloud move on July 1, 2012, I updated to latest version of OS X 10.7, and had everything working. As of July 1 I get:
Enter Password for Account "MobileMe"
The iCloud IMAP server "p99-imap.mail.me.com" rejected the password for user myusername
Enter your password again or cancel
This box comes up for every incoming message to my mac.com/me.com address. I have entered my password, and told it to remember the password in the keychain, repeatedly, but the dialog box keeps coming up. My password was just changed and meets or exceeds Apple security rrequirements.
I can access my mail by using a browser through icloud.com. The Mail program on my iMac can reach all my non-cloud mail without trouble.
My first thought was that I need to direct my mail program to another server, but I can't find any reference to such a change being needed or an address for such a new server. I get way too much mail on that account to make entering my password for every message practical.
To make it more confusing, my wife's iMac is getting her mac.com/me.com messages without any trouble, and they seem to be set up identically.
Does anyone have ideas as to how I can adapt to whatever changed on July 1?

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I saw no further responses and am wondering if you resolved this. Just bought the newest iPad. I'm a comfortable user as I'm on my 3rd iPad. Never seen this asked of me. Incidentally I am also trying to resolve why I "can't connect to apple store". For that I have reset "network settings" & forgotten my wireless network. I'm starting to wonder if the CArdDAV and "can't connect to the apple store are related. I can reach the Internet via Mail & Safari. I have a weak g3 connection. Thanks for the quick reply.
I have gone through the notes 1535201 & now on 1606563 after your advise.
Both the notes says the fix is available on 7.01 after SP 07 and we are on SP 14 already.
Also just in case I did checked with our basis and they confirmed we are a head and we have the above notes in our release already.
Unfortunately the notes are not the solution to the investigation till date.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Autofill tab. Select the box next to:
User names and passwords.
Navigate to a site you normally log into with the user name and password. Click Yes when prompted. That will save that information to a new keychain for you.
Passwords are actually stored in your Keychain Access application. (Applications/Utilities)

Why do I get the following when message on Contacts which does not let me delete; Cannot connect to the account-enter password for -..-When i do this nothing happens, same message reappears?!

When trying to update/remove contacts i get the following message;
Contacts cannot connect to the account..........Enter password for ..........
This I do but the same thing repeats itself!
Also(?) I am unable to share photos, as 'server did not recognise user/password combination'?
All ideas appreciated!

I've been trying to set up a VPN from my LG G2 and it also asks for the password for credential storage. However, entering the password associated with the VPN, does nothing. What are they asking for?
