Can't erase track in 3.0.4, driving me crazy

Am I missing something fundamental? I highlight the track name I want to erase in the list at the lower right and choose "delete track" from the Track menu choice. Nothing happens. I tried putting the track into the "recording window" and choosing to erase track, and still nothing happens. I have a huge list of tracks (retakes, I blush to say) that I can't get rid of!
I've checked the manual and online help, but no info on this problem. Any suggestions?

Ok, thank you. I have looked at the oddball problem site and didn't find any post that dealt with my inability to erase the podcasts I've made and no longer want. I have googled "can't erase Garageband tracks", but didn't find anything that way either.
I'm still in a pickle.

I admit, I did screw up for not checking. I was just soo steamed with the customer support and going back and forth with phone and offices in Charleston, SC and here in VA, I was just getting frustrated with this phone that i had for 1 week, and couple with the craziness of the hustle trafflc of customers during the holidays.
Just a lot of crazy here, but my new phone is in, I had to get the service center to reset things, as the backup synch wasn't right, and I will get a new card.
I just wanted a new phone that worked, and oversaw the issues. This isn't the first time I had to return a phone, but last time, it was a slower pace, and no issues, and I reminded myself to get the card out.
Got 99% of my contacts. Just wishing there was somehow to track the phone, and have hope, but it was nothing that was life critical.. And cost of new cars is cheap.
Chalk up to "pay attention".... but oh, the frustration of 6 visits to the stores in 32 days I had that phone. Ahh!

Can I erase iMovie '06?

I just installed iLife '08 and I noticed that iMovie '06 is still in my applications folder. My question is... Can I erase iMovie '06 without having it affect anything in iLife '08?

iMovie 08 has everything iMovie 06 does except these few features.
* No timeline
* No granularity--only global audio changes allowed
* No chapter markers for iDVD
* No Share to iDVD
* Loss of multiple audio tracks
* Loss of plugin support
* Cannot change transition speed after inserting a transition without making global changes
* No audio waveforms
* Cannot vary clip speed
* No pause control for titles
* Cannot play audio over black
* Cannot select a sequence of clips to move elsewhere within the movie
* Cannot overlap audio tracks (again...no multiple tracks)
* No themes (they WERE amazing)
* Cannot extract audio (of course, you can't do much of ANYTHING with audio in this thing)
* Cannot import projects from older versions without losing, well...everything important.

If you activated Find My iPhone (in Settings>icloud), and if the device's batteries still have a charge, the device is not turned off and has not been reset and is connected to wifi, then you can try to track it. You can only add folders to the email account if it is an IMAP account. If you see an EDIT button at the top of the window when you are in the email account - where you can see your inbox, sent and trash folders - if there is an edit button at the top of that window - you can tap that and then an Add Mailbox option appears at the bottom of the window.
If you do not see that edit button, you do not have an IMAP account and you cannot add folders.

No way around this. Your phone has to be restored using a computer running iTunes. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

How do I erase an older Western Digital 1TB mirrored hard drive? Newer drives can be erased via a WD Utility, but the WD site says to "ask Apple" about the older ones.

I have a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.7.5. The hard drive is approx. six years old - a Western Digital for Macs, mirrored with 1TB on each half.
Because the drive is "infected" with Time Machine backups that I can't erase, I have removed all important files from the drive and now want to wipe it clean. I've done this with new drives, via the WD Utility that came with the drive, but the older drive doesn't have such a utility. The WD site only has a protocol for PCs.
I find nothing on the Apple site itself. Can you community members help??

You now have a different startup disk and wish to erase the RAID mirror?
Do you wish to continue using the RAID for backup?
If all you want to do is erase the RAID to get rid or the Time Machine backups, the use Disk Utility to erase the mirror disk mounted on the Desktop.

Can't import tracks from an older version of iTunes

Since my rMBP has no optical drive I've found a practical use for my old G3 iMac which is for ripping CDs.
The G3 of course is only running iTunes 7.6 (the newest version available for G3 Macs) whereas my MBP is running the latest version.
I've shared the iTunes Library on the G3 and can access it on my MBP, and can even play tracks, but there is no Import button at the bottom of the window so I can't import the ripped tracks into my MBP iTunes. This works fine if I use my wife's MBP (my old one) which is also running the latest version of iTunes.
Have I missed a setting on the G3, or is this a limitation due to the big difference in iTunes versions?
I'm ripping to Apple Lossless if that matters.
