Can't execute on encrypted device

Hi,
i recently encrypted my home partition. it works ok now but i can't execute any programms. i don't know why.. my mount options are:
the permissions are set correctly. even as root you can't execute a thiing
/dev/mapper/home /home/ngerrit ext3 exec,defaults,noauto,user 0 0
i know that exec is set by defaults too, but ii wanted to try it

The last "user" also enables "noexec" which will override the former "exec,defaults", see 'man mount'.

Which tablet/s can run executables created in LabVIEW 8.5?

Background: I have created a VI that acquires data over bluetooth from a specific DAQ device. The VI is created in Windows 7 and LV 8.5. The VI is tested to work on the development machine. I'd like end users to be able to install and run an executable version of this VI from a tablet that has bluetooth capability.
Question: Which tablets can run executables created in LabVIEW 8.5? I think tablets running Windows 8.1, such as Surface Pro and Dell Venue Pro, should be okay but need a confirmation before I purchase one. Also, how about tablets that run other operating systems, such as Windows RT or Android?
Extended Question: What tablets in the market can run LabVIEW 8.5 VIs (or in other words allow LabVIEW 8.5 to be installed)?

Well since LabVIEW 8.5 isn't officially supported on Windows 7, or 8 you may have issues.

Of course many on the forums have stated being able to run older versions of LabVIEW on new operating systems without issue but know that from NI's perspective you should not be running LabVIEW 8.5 on Windows 7. Which means no modern tablet.

Report of encrypted devices

Hi,
we need a reliable report out of ZENworks (or ZENworks Reporting 5) which shows us which devices are encrypted and which are not. I did not find any report which is giving me the data I am looking for and I dont know how to create this report by myself.
We have one "Disk Encryption Policy" which is deployed device-by-device. If I just take a look at the "Policy Status -> Devices Succeeded" it came out that not all of them are really encrypted with PBA as sometimes it can happen that the encryption-progress just dont start correctly.
Does anyone got a report or another idea for this?

Can't execute command - drive didn't come online; check configuration/hardw

I have a Scalar i500 on a Linux host attached via fiber channel. I have everything working accept automounting the drive. I can't seem to get it working.
I can use the web interface of the i500 and then put a tape in the drive. I can then mount the drive from Secure Backup and run a back up just fine. Yet, I can't run a backup without a tape mounted. If I choose "Load Volume (Drive).... I get the error "can't execute command - drive didn't come online; check configuration/hardware"
I can inventory the library and do just about anything except automount the drives. I run a verify and the configuration comes back clean with no errors. I have tried using the SCSI params in the obl0 and obt0 ,and obt2 with no success. I have tried using the raw /dev/sg paths with no success. Same error.
This is a upgraded installation from 10.1 to 10.3. I have tried doing a clean install with same issue. I have restored the installation and then run a upgrade with the same issue.
I am stuck. Please help :)

It appears you may have the DTE's swapped.
Swap the DTE #'s assigned to the drive device objects and try again. This could happen during an upgrade if you reassigned scsi settings and the obt0 and obt1 devices swapped scsi settings from when they ran things last.

Can't execute install program.. setup.exe

hi, i'm testing my handheld PC with oracle 9lite 5.0.1..
After i packaged mobile application for HPC CE 3.0 strong arm..
i dowonload setup.exe to my PDA and execute setup.exe..
but i can't execute that install file..
message says..
"It's not proper Windows CE application.."
could anyone help me out..??

SETUP.EXE is a WIN32 x86 (PC version) program. It does not run on PocketPC.
You can run this on your PC and it will register necessary files with

Can i execute a j2me application in a BREW phone , if it is how? or should i need to go for any special certifications or convertions to make executable in BREW.B'caz i was not able to find the BREW emulator for j2ME?

Yes you can run J2ME applications from a BREW device. But before doing that, you need to install the BREW extention to support J2ME. Which is nothing but the JVM.
This can either be done over the air or manually.

First, you have to un-disabled it: iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong ...
Then, you can restore from a backup, but if the passcode was part of the encrypted backup, the same passcode will go right back on the device.

LabView / DSC / FieldPoint with Symantec Endpoint Encryption Device Control

I am developing a LabView DSC based control program to communicate with multiple FieldPoint modules (cFP2200/cFP1808) for a client. Their IT department has implemented Symantec Endpoint Encryption Device Control ( http://www.symantec.com/endpoint-encryption-device-control ) and I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this software?
From what I have read and had explained to me, it is much more than an antivirus program. It operates at a very low level within Windows and restricts reading/writing to external devices, USB sticks, network shares, etc. It can also monitor / restrict network traffic and WiFi access.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

How can I remove a tablet device that isn't there?

In one of our test environments we've got an Xserve running OSX 10.5.6, inside is running Server 10.5 in VMWare Fusion.
Now, the VM thinks it has a tablet device installed, as is evidenced by the ink tab showing up in system preferences (the host does not have the ink option there). Obviously there is no tablet device installed. The VM was set up by one of our IT guys who has already reinstalled it, noting no options during setup about a tablet device.
This problem is causing one piece of software to not work in the VM, or at least, the UI doesn't. There are thousands of console messages reading "QCocoaView handleTabletEvent: This tablet device is unknown (received no proximity event for it). Discarding event"
Question is, how can I remove the tablet device so that this software will start working? I've checked all through VMWare Fusion's options/preferences & couldn't find anything there and Googling has turned up nothing so far.

Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Universal Access and in the Seeing tab make sure that the Display Enhance contrast: is set to Normal.

does it error out or does it just not go through?
have you tried to delete and then re-add your hotmail address? Using the outlook preset

As an aside, the current installed operating system on this old iPhone is 4.2.1, but that wasn't one of the selectable options in the operating system list dropdown below. Don't know if that makes any difference.

I need help can i find out what device request a password reset.

I dont check my email very often and when i did i had a email from apple saying how do i rest my password. they sent it to me on 8/15/13 at 2:30pm. also i went to my icloud account and noticed i only have 1 ipod and my sons iphone registered. i did have 2 ipods and my sons iphone. so i need some help finding out if i can get that email tracked back to the device. Also i had another email from 7/9/13.
Your Apple ID, was just used to download Paper Run from the App Store on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with that Apple ID. You may also be receiving this email if you reset your password since your last purchase. that is what the 2nd email said. so now i am worried. if anyone can help lead me in the right derection. thank you

I do not think you can find out on what device the purchases was made.
I would change the password for your account.
