Can't exit out of dialogue box in After Effects

Hi,
A couple of times now I have accidently reduced my cameras scale below 0% and have had this dialogue box appear.
When I click 'OK' it just keeps popping up again. I have no way of exiting out of it and resuming my work. The last couple of times I have forced closed After Effects, but as a result, I lost all my work since my last save!
This time I have done too much to risk loosing it all, does anyone have any suggestions of how to exit this dialogue box without having to exit the program and lose my work?

The problem is easily reproduced, and I can't find any way out of it. It's worth posting as a bug to the AE team, because really the software should be able to escape from the infinite loop it creates.
In the short term, it appears to me you have no option but to force quit. Hopefully you are using regular auto-saves so you don't lose more than a few minutes work.
In the future, I'd recommend you simply get diligent about not editing the scale of any camera parented layers. Ultimately this is a user error, after all.

Additional Information
OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

Safari works a little differently in that respect on iOS 8 on the iPad than it did before. To exit the last site used, tap the icon that looks like 2 overlapping pages at the top right of the screen and then tap the x at the top left of the smaller display that appears.

How can I go from Premiere Pro CS5 to After Effects CS6? (Problem)

Hi,
I am trying to send my clip from Premiere Pro CS5 to After Effects CS6, but when I right click on the clip, I can't even select the option to send it to After Effects. I can see the option to send it to After Effects, but I just cant select it. Any ideas?

You can do what you want... only going the other way!
You can import a CS5 Premiere Project (in its entirety
or a selected sequence) into CS6 Ae.
In CS6 Ae:
File>Import>Adobe Premiere Pro Project...
Navigate to your CS5 Premiere project, double-click
and select 'All Sequences', or your preferred sequence.
As Jim points out, Dynamic Linking will only work
between matching versions of Pr and Ae.

I can't validate my premier pro CC and after effect CC on my PC

I can't validate my premier pro CC and after effect CC, but my other CC programs work fine, i.e photoshop CC, speedgrade CC, etc , the weird thing is it only happen on my PC, but my mac works just fine

How can I make this desktop dialogue box default on a larger size?

When I do a "save as" with a document, the dialogue box is so small I have to scroll to reach the folder I want it in. Then I have to drag the corner to make it larger.
Is there a way to make this box default on a larger size so I can see more file choices? see pic

PSE 10 - can't exit out or save as

I opened a photo in my new PSE 10 editor, did some editing and now I can't "save as" or even exit out of the program - every time I try to exit out it asks if I want to save the changes to the photo.. I say yes.. over and over and over.. the only way I can close down PSE is to shut it down from my task manager, and then my changes to the pic aren't saved..anyone got any ideas about what's wrong and how to fix it?

Based on this problem and your previous one, it seems that something on your system is corrupted -- either your Windows user account or PSE10. (You do not have to run PSE as an administrator in order to get it to work.)
Let's take one step at a time:
Create a new standard Windows user account and see if PSE works OK in that account.

Can't exit out of iPhoto but it doesn't seem to be importing

I'm trying to exit out of iPhoto because it stopped importing but it still seems to think it's still importing. How do I clear it?

I did remove my camera before ejecting because it was taking so long to download the last picture and I forgot to eject. I really think there was a problem with the downloading because I finally found the "Force Quit" under the Apple in the top left corner. That let me get out of the program. Then, when I restarted iPhoto, it downloaded really fast.

If you’re currently booted into Windows on your MacBook Pro, restart Windows in the normal way, but hold down an Option key once you hear the startup chime — that will put you in the Startup Manager, which will show you an icon for each available bootable OS. Use the arrow keys to select your OS X partition, and press Return; that will boot OS X. Once you’ve logged in, select the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences. If the padlock icon in the lower left of the window is locked, click on it (and provide the appropriate password) to unlock it. You will see a set of bootable OS icons to choose from for which OS you would like to boot from by default; presuming that you prefer to boot from OS X by default, select the icon that corresponds to your OS X partition, and press the “Restart…” button. It should now default to booting into OS X.

Office Pro 8000: Can't Print/Out of Ink Error even after installing new cartridge.

When I tried to use my printer a few days ago, I received a "Can't Print: Out of Ink" error message concerning the magenta cartridge. I had used the printer a few days before that, and had not received a low ink warning. It seemed suspicious to me that I would have received an empty cartridge error message without first receiving a low cartridge warning. The yellow and cyan cartridges read 70% full - all 3 were original cartridges.
I purchased a new 940XL magenta cartridge and installed it per instructions. Now I am getting a message that the new 940XL cartridge is empty. I can shake the old 940 cartridge and hear liquid inside. Obviously, the new cartridge is also full. I've tried cycling power, reinstalling the software, etc, with no change in status. If I swap back and forth between the old 940 and new 940XL cartridge, they are properly identified by type on my screen as the 940 or 940XL. Due to the way the problem has presented itself, I don't believe it is a cartridge issue.
Of course, problem first arouse on May 8th, and my warrantee expired April 26th. Any suggestions?

I've solved my own problem, which was clearly a factory assembly defect. I looked inside my printer with a flashlight in the area where the ink cartridges are installed, and found magenta ink sprayed inside the printer. I disassembled the printer, and found that the magenta line had been damaged during assembly. There are four ink tubes which exit from behind the ink cartridges, then make a U turn back toward the front of the printer. Just after the U turn, they make another bend up-wards. It is at this point that I found the damaged magenta line, directly above a screw on the right-hand side of the ink cartridge housing. The lines are in a very narrow passage, and are held in place by several keepers molded out of plastic. It appears that the lines were put in place in the keepers, then the screw inserted from above. As I said, it is a very tight passage, and it would be very easy to damage the ink line at that point if the lines weren't carefully held back to insert the screw during assembly.
To solve the problem, I removed approximately 1/4 inch of damaged magenta ink line. I carefully cut the line with a sharp razor, to prevent collapsing the line or causing burrs to the tubing. I then placed about 3/4" of self-sealing heat shrink tubing over one end of the ink line. Next I spliced the line with a small piece of stiff plastic tubing from the handle of a cotton swab, which was a perfect, snug fit over the ink line. Being careful not to collapse the ink tube or cause further damage, I gently twisted the ink line back and forth until the ends were butted up inside the cotton swab splice. I then positioned the heat-shrink tubing over the splice, and shrunk it with a hair dryer. The heat-shrink tubing I used has hot-melt glue applied to the inside, which further aided in making a leak-proof splice. Again, there is not a lot of room, so the splice had to be kept small.
I reassembled the printer, reinstalled the ink cartridges, and powered up the printer. After the normal, long start-up delay, I printed several full-color test sheets, and all was fine. The magenta cartridge that I had installed previously now shows that it is full, and the remaining cartridges also read the levels that they had prior to disassembly.

Flashing dialogue box appears after startup

Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro 2.3GHz i5 4GB and I've noticed recently after startup that a quick dialogue box flashes on screen but I am unable to read or determine if there is something wrong. All that I am able to see is a yellow triangle but am unable to read the text. Can anyone please help explain how I can fix this issue?

Nobody can tell you anything without exact system info. the typical case for this error would be some external influence blocking the required port connections for the separate analysis process. that's all anyone can tell you at this point.

Why is "edit in Audition" greyed out in Premiere Pro and After Effects?

Since the CC 2014 launch, the option in in Premiere Pro and After Effects to "edit in Audition" is greyed out. Right-clicking a clip in Premiere Pro doesn't have an option for Audition. I cannot send my compositions, sequences or clips to Audition for audio editing. I contacted an Adobe Support personnel earlier this evening. They suggested to go into my Mac's System Preferences and enable a root user, log out of my account, log into the root user, shut down and boot up into safe mode. None of these scenarios worked. It is still greyed out, in both user accounts.
Is this a known issue? I even uninstalled and reinstalled Audition. Still nothing. All my Adobe apps are updated. My Mac is updated. Again, never had this issue before.
I'd appreciate any assistance!

I may have an answer for you, but not sure if my resolution will work for Macs.
First, here's my system and initial info. I'm using a work computer, operating system is Windows 7. I just upgraded to Adobe CC 2014 about a week ago, and I also uninstalled the previous versions of all my Creative Cloud programs after installing the new versions (CC 2014 doesn't just update the previous version, it installs a new program and doesn't automatically uninstall the previous CC programs). Not sure if the uninstall is necessary, for this resolution to work.
Anyway, after I installed Premiere Pro CC 2014 and Audition CC 2014, the Edit Clip in Adobe Audition command was available from the Edit menu in the Menu bar, but was disabled in the right-click menu for the sequence (for the right-click menu, it was visible, but greyed out and disabled). When I tried to use the command from the Edit menu in the Menu bar, it gave me a dialog box to fill out and it created a new folder (titled "Adobe Audition Interchange"). So, the command, when selected from the "Edit menu" obviously uses a different process than the command from the right-click menu. Anyway, I didn't want a new folder created or to fill out a dialog box, I just wanted it to behave like it used to. Basically, when I right-click the sequence and select Edit Clip in Adobe Audition from the right-click menu, it just opens Audition and the audio waveform is visible.
I was able to resolve this and get the right-click command working by reading a couple of articles on this same issue from Adobe CC (not CC 2014) and using those to figure out how to fix this in Adobe CC 2014.
Here's what I did:
I had to locate my .sesx files in my system. They are NOT in the same location as they were for the previous version of CC (at least, they weren't for me). I had to use the Search command and look for .sesx extensions to locate them.
Found them under the path C:>Users>Public>Public Documents>Adobe>Audition>7.0>Session Templates. Note that (for me), there was a folder titled 6.0 on the same level as the 7.0 folder. I selected the 7.0 folder as that folder contained the most recent set of .sesx files. I checked the 6.0 folder and those were the .sesx files from the previous version, so I deleted that folder just as a clean-up step.
I right-clicked on one of the .sesx files in the Session Templates folder and then selected Open with from the right-click menu. The Open with dialog box displays and provides a list of programs.
I selected Adobe Audition CC 2014 from the list of programs (you may have to browse to find it) and then selected Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. I then clicked OK to submit the configuration command and close the Open with dialog box.
I restarted Premiere Pro CC 2014 and the Edit Clip In Adobe Audition command was now enabled on the right-click menu and was working properly.
I wept with joy..... OK, not really, but I'm always irritated at ridiculous regression errors and a lack of thorough testing of new software versions, so I am happy to resolve frustrating issues.

Can I update the non-CC version of After Effects to the latest version?

I'm fairly new to After Effects and have the disc version (I'm not a Creative Cloud subscriber but have a legitimately purchased program that came in the box). I was looking for Advanced Spill Suppressor under the Keying Effects, and it was not listed. I read somewhere that I needed a more updated version of the program. Since I don't have a Creative Cloud subscription, am I unable to update my After Effects?
