Can't exit screensaver

I activated my screensaver with a hot corner and now I am unable to exit it. I tried clicking the trackpad, pressing the ESC key, the return key, cmd/q. Also tried returning to the hot corner but that just deactivates the screensaver (screen goes black and then screensaver starts again). I can pause the screensaver with the spacebar but can't quit it. I guess I should've assigned a hot corner to deactivate the screensaver. Any suggestions?

OK, it's me again. I held the power button down and rebooted my MBP (I had no other option that I was aware of). I found these messages in the console when my system froze.
I'm finding others with the same problem on other threads....

Additional Information
OS X automatically relaunches the Finder when it is quit. If the Finder is unresponsive, use Force Quit to relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit Window or Dock, then click Relaunch.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    1.    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    2.    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    3.    Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    4.    Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
    5.    Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Can't exit bootloader configuration file

I don't get any options below the file. I tried ctrl + x then y and basically any key combination but nothing happens, I can't exit the file and go on with my installation. Except ctrl + z exits the installation.

You probably mean you can't exit the editor and that makes me guess you are in vi because you didn't take the 'set editor' step seriously. See the relevant wiki section (and follow the link for vi in case you end up in this situation again).
And try to give a more complete problem description next time (or if my guess about this problem is incorrect).

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

Can't exit slideshow

Hi I have 51,000 photos in Iphoto 09. When I click on an album and hit "slideshow" it will begin to display my photos but when I try click on a photo on the small thumbnail bar at the bottom it won't display that picture.
The Slideshow will continue but nothing will be clickable and I won't be able to exit the slideshow. I have to force a shutdown of my computer. Sometimes the popup appears asking me what type of Slideshow that I would like to display.
Once that appears, the thumbnails on the bottom bar will be clickable and I can then exit the slideshow. Most of the time this doesn't happen though. I'm afraid to use the slideshow feature for this reason.
I have repaired permissions, rebuilt my Iphoto library, and deleted the Iphoto preference but this issue remains. I've had this issue with Leopard 10.5.8 before I upgraded to Snow Leopard as well. Could it be from having a large library? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone who has a large library could comment weather or not they have this issue as well would be greatly appreciated.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

I can't exit Mini Player in iTunes 11

It's simple really. I can enter Mini Player using Ctrl+Shift+M but then I can't exit it. I can bypass it by pressing "Go to *artist*" but it still doesn't close.

I am having the same problem that the person who started the thread is having. iTunes 11 is horribly broken on many levels. I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes 10 until they figure out what they are doing. @Barrie Newcombe - I'm sure many people run the software without this particular problem. I don't think Apple would release software that never worked for anybody. Those of us who are experiencing the problem are looking for information regarding the problem we are experiencing.

Can`t exit from the app corner mode in windows phone 10 technical preview at Nokia Lumia 520

After upgrading to windows phone 10, I just face several bugs as expected, including screen unlock bug. I just try app corner feature on my phone. That`s led to a big mistake. I can`t exit from the app corner mode. While pressing the power off
button and swap right, nothing happens. (In lock screen, it doesn`t show that swap right to exist. I think this problem also related to locks screen bug. Even I try to remove the battery. But, still I struck at app corner. Please
help me come out this problem!!!

Very very disappointed. Sorry about windows phone. I have argued quit a lot with friends. Trying to convince them that WP are extremely good and nice to work with. Unfortunately they keep telling me about the poor apps of WP. Unfortunately I can now start seeing the problem. Guess what, I wasconsidering of buying my father a WP. Guess what. .xlsm Can't exit design mode because Control 'Command Button 3' can not be created

I have several Windows 7 Enterprise machines that cannot open one .xlsm file properly. When it opens, it is opening in Design mode rather than as a spreadsheet with macros. My users are getting the error "Can't exit design mode because Control
'Command Button 3' can not be created". All our machines have Office 2010 ProPlus, but this file will only open on the XP PC's that have yet to be upgraded. Any ideas?

How do you create the button in Excel 2010? Just insert the control manually or insert it using a macro? This issue may be caused by the controls aren't instantiated before you can exit design mode.
Please try the method:
Code can only run after all controls are instantiated and properly connected. Make sure every file needed for the control is available before trying again.

Help! Can't Exit Phone Mode????

Hey all,
I got 2 3G's (my wife and me) this morning mine got stuck in phone mode. It defaults to my favorites, and i can only select dialpad, contacts, favorites, and voicemail from the bottom.
I can't exit out to get to my apps, settings, anything? I've tried turning the phone off and on, and popping the sim card, it always takes me back to my favorites in the phone mode, and that's it??
any ideas?

I had to exchange my phone today due to a faulty home button. Had a lot of problems exiting anything. The button on the new phone feels a lot different. If you continue to have problems, go to the apple store and have them check the home button.

Can't exit fullscreen DVD playback

Hello, I'm working on my first Director/DVD project, but have
found that I can't exit fullscreen playback mode when the project
is compiled as a projector (I can exit out of fullscreen fine in
the authoring environment). In fact, it seems as though the
application stops responding to all user input (mouse&
keyboard) when playing back fullscreen (the cursor disappears also,
although since it is playing back DTS I would imagine that is
normal?).
Is there anyway to interact with a projector in fullscreen
DVD mode? thanks

*FFox had a button (red cross) "restore closed tabs". I enjoyed it, but reset has deleted it and I can't find it in the addon store. I have been always thinking it is the default feature... Can you explain this too?

It worked in the Safe Mode
So, I started experiments and found that there were no proplems after I had turned of "E-Web Print 1.19.00" (by Epson)
I think that it caused this problem. I don't use it too often, so it's better for me to turn it off. But I can't understand how does Firefox let this app make a such trouble
