Can't export form to fillable PDF or move to online!

I have been messing with Forms Central for the past two hours trying to get my form to export. After reading I assumed it was due to not having a paid version so I just subscribed for the Basic plan and I still can not export anything. The error message I am recieving is the most unhelpful error, "Acrobat.com encountered an unexpected error."
This occurs when I try to export as a PDF or when I try to move it online. I have tried running in Admin mode, updating flash but I am still having no luck! Please help.
EDIT: UGHH my email is my screen name.. Is it possible to change that as well? I don't want a flood of spam heading my way.

In that case I will need more information from you.
What is the version of your desktop version of FormsCentral?
Did you download FormsCentral or you are using the one that came with Acrobat?
After you signed in, did you get an update message? When did you do your last update?
If it is possible, would you mind give me your email address by sending  a message to [email protected]?
Thanks
Ken

  • Since installing Reader DC we can no longer "sign" a fillable PDF

Since installing Reader DC we can no longer "sign" a fillable PDF that we could sign in Reader XI.  We see the "You have opened a fillable PDF form. This form does not let you drag and drop saved information" message.  This seems like a standard feature that many organizations use. Is this going to be fixed? or work around suggested? Please advise.

I too am having the same issue.
I am also experiencing this on the trial version of the Adobe Reader Pro.
I get the same message as glennthorpe , and I am unable to follow the instructions listed here; none of the tools are populating for me when I click on what appears to be a "signable" box.

  • Can you export a high res pdf of your site through Muse?

can you export a high res pdf of your site through Muse?

I don't know a way to do it through Muse, but if you have Acrobat you can export your Muse as HTML to your local disk then have Acrobat make a PDF out of it.

  • Can I merge comments from 2 pdfs with Adobe Acrobat online?

Can I merge comments from 2 pdfs with Adobe Acrobat online?  If so,  how?

    Hi gignc,
You can't merge comments using any of the Acrobat.com online services (ExportPDF, Adobe PDF Pack, and so on). But you can with an Acrobat subscription. Please see Adobe Acrobat X Standard * Publish comments from other reviewers from instructions.

  • Web form to fillable pdf

    Hello
I need your help on this trouble : filling a pdf online
What i want to do :
    - prepare fillable pdf files on acrobat pro (already done)
    - fill the fields on a web form
    - get the filled pdf online
Is there a way to make that with adobe suite or maybe with another external software ?
    Thanks

    Sofia,
What you're describing is a server-side programming, where web form data populates PDF template - essentially, generating PDF based on user input.  We've done similar work using PHP and I'm not aware of any canned solution that can do it without custom coding.

  • Saving form as fillable pdf

actually have two questions, first can I save my form as a fillable pdf to email others and second how do I arrange my form to have more than one field on a single line?  For instance I am creating a credit application
and want to be able to say put the phone number field alongside the business name and so forth...thanks !!

We just added the ability to distribute your form as a fillable PDF form and have all of the data submitted back to FormsCentral. I wrote up a forum post that explains it in more detail: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/994199
Give it a try and please send us your feedback on it.

  • How can I export a smallformat flatten PDF-file with transparant parts in?

My post on a PDF - more clear with images (english):
    http://www.logicontrol.be/gallery/documents/help-eng.pdf
    Deze post in nederlandstalige versie:
    http://www.logicontrol.be/gallery/documents/help-nl.pdf
    Scope?
I'dd like to export an Indesign-file (.indd) to a PDF-file that has to be:
    - the smallest possible file size
    - which displays images and text sharp on the screen
    - which also certainly remain transparent parts of .psd-files after exporting
    - that is flattened for easy print
    The problem?
    ▪ How and with which of settings can I export such a file from InDesign 5.0?
    ▪ If necessary in combination with some settings (after exporting) in our Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?
    Further explanation
The export file contains lots of text, graphics, photographs and drawings. Many of these items are .psd-files that contain transparent areas. The intention is that this transparent parts actually remain transparent even after exporting/flattening /decreasing the PDF.
    ▪ With InDesign 5.0?
→ In the window Export Adobe PDF: (images see: http://www.logicontrol.be/gallery/documents/help-eng.pdf )
Should I start from a default PDF preset   (if yes > which one??)
    Possibilities are: High Quality Print / PDFX-1a: 2001 / PDFX-3:2002 / PDFX-4:2007 / Press Quality / Smallest File Size
Or is it better to create a PDF preset on my own?     (if yes > which settings??)
    Standard > PDF/X-format?
    Compatibility > PDF-version?
Compression > If artwork should be compressed and downsampled, and if so,
which method and settings to I have to use ?
Ouput > How can I control colors and PDF/X output intent profiles in the PDF-file?
Advanced > How can I control fonts, OPI specifications, transparency flattening, and JDF instructions are
                      in the PDF file?
    ▪ With Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro?
→ How can I reduce the file size extra, so more reducing after exporting into PDF ?
→ How can I flatten the exported file (if not done during the export) ?
!! Important, when I export/reduce/flatten the file, I ‘dd like that the parts of images who were transparent before, stays also transparent after !!
    WHAT CAN I DO ??

    Hello,
I'm sorry you're having trouble. Unfortunately, this forum is for the ExportPDF service of Acrobat.com. The ExportPDF service functions as a PDF to *.docx file convertion and we can't help with problems specific to the desktop version of Acrobat or InDesign.  I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

  • Can't export Pages document to PDF

I have been trying to export a Pages document to PDF a number of times and get the following message: "The application Pages quit unexpectedly." I have rebooted and still can't export. Can anyone help, please? Thanks so much.

    paramita,
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
That particular issue usually indicates either a bad font or a corrupt image. Or both. Try validating your fonts using Font Book. If you've got a corrupt font, change fonts in your document. If Font Book tells you all your fonts are healthy, try pulling half of the images out of your document, then saving again as a PDF. If it works, you know you've got a corrupt image in the half you pulled out.

  • Can you export a frame to PDF?

Don't know much about flash, but was wondering if there was a
way to take a frame (or multiple ones) and export them directly to
pdf or multipage pdf. I just want to have access to a frame to use
for other purposes (presentations, etc) without needing the whole
swf. Whether it's directly in Flash, or there's a third-party app.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    TIA
    BZen

I've never seen software like that, but I have had to put
    together PDFs with screenshots.
What I do is go to the frame I want on the timeline then
file-->export-->export image and export a jpeg at 300
resolution at "full document size." After I've got images from all
the frames that I want I use the OpenOffice program, it's like
Microsoft Office, but free, and I just paste the images in for as
    many pages as I need.
Open Office has an file-->export PDF option that produces
very compact PDFs, even with images in them, (much better than some
of the older Adobe software I can make PDFs with) so I can e-mail
the PDF to myself and those interested in the project.
You can download OpenOffice or OpenOffice Portable easily,
    just Google it.

  • How can I export to a web page with movies?

    Hello,
I just noticed that when I exported a folder of pictures and movies to a web page, only the pictures showed up. Is there a way I can use the export to web page feature and see my movies?
    Thanks!

Are you using iWeb to create your web page? If so then the only options from within iPhoto for exporting are a photo page or blog page. You need to export only the photos and once in iWeb create a separate movie page and import that movie to that specific page via the Media button at the bottom.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How can I export a keynote proyect to a movie?

I am making an assigment for the university and I don't know how to export a keynote presentation to a movie, ( with short videos and narration inside of it ).
I tried quicktime export and it didin't work , the whole timing thing was awful!
I really need this presentation to be exported into a DVD or a CD or anything so I can give it to my guide teacher...
    Help me please
PS: I am using a MacBook Pro to make this

This is a well known problem with Keynote 6.1, the only thing you can do is use Keynote 5.3 instead, if you have it.
Meanwhile sit back and wait to see if Apple issues a fix in the schedule of updates they said they would issue during 2014.

  • Can't Create Form From Existing PDF

I received a PDF from a woman, it is a form that I can print out and snail mail. I decided to convert it to a PDF fillable form as it would be faster and cleaner to fill out...I can't. I am getting the following error and it's not just her PDF, I get this on any file I convert to PDF and tell to create a fillable form of. I didn't have this problem until I upgraded to CC  and installed the latest Acrobat version.
    Error:
"Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:
Bad PDF; error in processing fonts. <bad Type0 font> [1]
Please note that some pages of this document may have been changed. Because of this failure, you are advised to not save these changes."
I don't know what font she used nor the program, I don't have control of that short of asking her to change the font so Acrobat will play with it. One could assume she used the exact same file she made the previous year and just updated the year and date on it which, using my previous version of Acrobat would work fine at creating a fillable form.
    Enquiring minds want to know.
    Thanks

If you are adding/modifying ejb-jar.xml outside JDeveloper and trying to see the changes.
Save the ejb-jar.xml file which is being modified externally
    Select ejb-jar.xml in JDeveloper
    and do View | Refresh
This will load in the changes (providing the source path has been set properly)

  • How can I export from Excel to pdf using Acrobat Std to achieve uniform page size throughout the whole pdf document?

After exporting the whole workbook to a single pdf file, page sizes are inconsistent. When viewing the document in full screen, some pages show up as 25% zoomed, others as 34%.  I could re-print the exported pdf file to pdf in Acrobat Std, and that way I could get the same page size throughout the document, but then I loose my bookmarks, which I don't want.
I have already set the page size to A4 in Excel, but that's not where my problem lies. any help, hint is appreciated.

A good place to start is Karl Heinz Kremer's blog, where he has a few examples:

  • CS4 InDesign "Export" anything but: can't export to anything but PDF

After two uninstallation/reinstallations of the whole frickin' CS4 Master Collection, and deleting the Defaults file repeatedly, InDesign still refuse to Export anything other than the first format that displays (usually, PDF -- although once I got it to display XML).
Go to Export, select INX as type, file name shows as *.pdf - swipe off PDF, even insert ".INX", click Save and the "Export Adobe PDF" dialog displays. It's not only driving me nuts, but I have a printer who is on CS3 and I have a brochure that needs to be printed, now...
Bless anyone who has a clue or idea or registry hack...
Later: Export works fine from my laptop. The only difference is that, yes, I got suckered into downloading the final-that-wasn't, but had left CS3 installed. Re-downloaded and installed the final-that-is, uninstalled CS3, re-installed the final-that-is, then went on to a couple of more reinstallations (on my workstation). For the laptop, I'd initially uninstalled CS3, then went through the final-that-wasn't and final-that-is dance.
I suspect there is a registry key somewhere that I can't locate...

    >Note to Peter: the first download release of the Master Collection had a beta version of Photoshop. Uninstalling the whole thing was the only way to fix it.
Ouch. And that probably explains what happened to the OP. A corollary to my above post is that people who download the first release version (or install from the disks before the first service release) are only slightly less at risk for problems than beta testers. When we work on the cutting edge, occasionally we shed a little blood. :)
