Can't export to PDF

the PDF option is not available in the dropdown list of export formats after running a report in SQL Server Reporting Services.  The only options available are XML, CSV, Excel, MHTML and Word.
But the report server config file shows that it is enabled.
The event viewer has recent errors that read:
Report Server Windows Service (MSSQLSERVER) cannot load the PDF extension.
There are similar errors for RGDI and IMAGE extensions as well.
Running version 10.50.1600.1 of MSSQLServer on a Windows 2008 SP2 64-bit server.
The machine has recently been rebooted recently with no effect. Here are the pertinent contents of the rsreportserver.config file. and it's not in any of the Excluded render types in other secions.

I did find an error in the log file, although different than the one you reference. Here's that section of the log file.

To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.

After reading dozens of forum, I still don’t found the answer.
I made a photobook with full-colur and B/W photos for Offset printing. I want the B/W to be in grayscale to avoid color possible color shades. It seems InDesign doesn’t support grayscale, the images become way to dark. Even with exporting without any colour conversion or destination and/or including original colour profiles, the grayscale pictures are being exported to dark to PDF.

Yes, the Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same
This can get difficult because the 3 programs handle soft proofing differently.
The working spaces don't matter, it's the document profile(s) that manage the preview. So here is the same grayscale image placed in ID on top and PS on the bottom. I've set my Photoshop info to show the doc profile in the lower left corner. I can see my InDesign's Document CMYK profile in my Proof Setup (the Working CMYK is different and isn't being used). Both profiles are effectively the same Coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of PS).
But the previews don't match because I have Overprint turned off, so the InDesign preview is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview.
If I turn on Overprint preview I get a match because I'm soft proofing for print:

Can I export a PDF in InDesign Server and return it to the calling client?

Using Java/CORBA between a client machine and InDesign Server, I would like to:
1. Make a remote call to InDesign server to create a document, passing IDML as a parameter on the call
2. Make another remote call to InDesign server to export a PDF, returning the PDF on the call return.
Is this possible? I notice that the doExport method does not return a PDF to the calling client. Instead, it saves the PDF on the server. I don't see any apis which would allow me to do the above.
The use case here is a web application which need to "preview" an image. The image consists of a template and some variable data which is sent to an InDesign server for composition and is returned as an image.

I fail to see the issue. You have added crop marks, have you not? For all intents and purposes those are marks that are supposed to be visible and printable for cutting in the real world. If you don't want them, don't use them. Acrobat can generate them on the fly for printing, anyway.

XFA forms are not regular PDF's but XML files in a PDF shell.
To create a word file from those files, you first have to flatten the XFA forms by printing as PDF with the Adobe PDF Printer.
Then you can save using ExportPDF the created static PDF as Word document.

I'm working in Adobe Indesign CS6 and I can't export a print pdf, just interactive. When I choose print pdf nothing happens and the file size is ju 0 kb. What could I be doing wrong?? Can I export an interactive pdf and send that to the printing factory?

Open the Background Tasks panel (Window > Utilities > Backround Tasks) to be sure you are waiting long enough for the export to finish. It's also convenient to check the View PDF After Export box in the export settings to have it open automatically when it's finished to let you know.
If it still isn't actually producing a PDF, let us know.

Can (CS5) Export to PDF and Compress all Images ?

Using CS5, I have a "Book" with 12 chapters, and a total of about 800 color images. The goal is to export it as one PDF file that will be viewed on screens, not sent to a printer.
When I did export to PDF , the file size was enormous: about 240 MB.
I want this file to be much -- much! -- smaller sized (in terms of MB).
I have all the images at different resolutions -- from 72 dpi to 220 dpi -- and I do not need the higher resolutions.
What is the best way to approach this problem? ...
--Is there a way to set Indesign to compress all the images during the export ?
--Or can Photoshop be used to "batch" compress all the images to 72dpi ?
--Or is there some other method that I can't even imagine.

Look in the Export to PDF Dialog. In the "Compression" panel, you can set a maximum allowed dpi -- any image with a value above the "above" value will be downsampled to the "to" value.
This only works on bitmap images; if you have placed large vector images, there is no way to automatically decrease their size.

Do you happen to have Dial Assist on? This is in Settings>Phone. This is what helps the phone identify international numbers when dialing, based on location. See if turning that off/on makes a difference. Unless you are making a number of international calls, I believe this can be left off. See the User Guide http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1565/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf Page 49 has info regarding Dial Assist.

I paid $21 of my companies money so I can complete a power point presentation that I am going around the country to present to our field service team, and the Satisfaction survey that I need to convert to word so I can place within the power point cannot be converted. . . How can I export a PDF form and the filled in fields to a text document?

OK, so I have a situation. I need people to be able to open a reader-enabled PDF form, fill out the form fields, and then export the filled-out PDF form to a basic text document. This seems easy since Adobe Reader can save to text. The problem is, the answers in the form fields do not show in the text file! Each radio button shows as yes and no, and there is no indication in the text file which one was selected. In addition, the form fields are not exported next to the questions on the form. I tried flattening the form in Adobe pro, and that did not work either.
How can I create a fillable form for Adobe Reader, and then let the user export their answers AND the questions on the form to plain text?

OK, so I tried this as a starting point, and assigned it to a button on page 3 of the form.

This gives me all the words on the first page not in fields, and each word goes on a separate line. Now, characters in the document such as "&" or ")" cause the rest of the word to go on the next line down.

This only gives me the first word on page 3, the page the button is placed?
What I need to do is run the code and place words on one line until the code hits a keyword "var cKeyWord1 = “Key1” for example?, then insert the value of field one, Start a new line in the console, restart the code where it left off until it hits the next key word "var cKeyWord2 = “Key2”, insert the value of field two, add a new line, and on and on.
Is this possible?

I never used VBA with with Adobe Acrobat. I would like a tip to start doing that. What I would like to do know is:
1 - I have multiple PDF Forms that are filled.
2 - I want all the data from those forms to be exported to Excel via VBA code.
3 - Adobe Acrobat already have an option to do that manually (Forms > Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet) and it works perfectly.
4 - I would like to access that feature using VBA, then generate a spreadsheet.
Any tips? How can I start?

Have you started with a scanned document and then trying to go to DOCX. If so, you may have OCR set on the document before the export and it may be that the OCR can not recognize the fonts. However, the recognition appears to be based on typical block characters and I might interpret them the same way. You can try to change the primary language to German in the OCR, but that will likely not do the job. I suspect what you need is something that recognized old-German as this document appears to be (if I got the language wrong, I apologize). I am not sure Acrobat is up to the task on the type style, but is comparing to standard block characters. Some of the dedicated OCR packages might be able to do a better job.

How can I export a pdf of an InDesign alternate layout from a book?

I have a book that is in a 6×9″ layout and I would like to make an alternate layout for 8.5×11 (and other formats) then export both as independent books to PDFs. How can I do this or is there another better way? I thought alternate layout would be the way to go, but I don’t think I can export the alternate layouts for all my chapters/etc., from the book menu without including ALL the pages from each layout?
