Can't find a place to register

That question at least brought up the registration page. What a stupid way to do things. Why not have the optin to register on the home page?
Anyway, I am becoming increasingly unhappy with the way Mozilla is working now. I used it for years and only had to worry about it if a new version came out. (All I had to do was DL and install it it. Not too intrusive.)
Now I have to remove and re-install several times a day to get it to work. That is not acceptable.
If you guys ever get it together, let me know. Until then, you have increased the number of Google Chrome users by 1.

Firefox should update itself fairly unobtrusively and fairly automatically.
I agree uninstalling and reinstalling several times a day is completely unacceptable, but I have no idea why you need to do that. Something is seriously wrong with your system. If you were not posting from a Mac I would suspect malware as the likely problem.
The procedures for registration on the forum are under review and possibly may be modified.

How can I find out if he registered this software without opening it? After finding out how much this software runs, I'd like to sell or return it if possible to give the money to my mother-in-law for funeral costs.

Thats a shame that it can't be used. Are you sure I couldn't donate the software to a university or school? It just seems like a big waste for something so expensive.

Can't find small places on downloaded maps

Hi
I downloaded a map of France but Nokia Drive can't find any places other than large cities and airports when searching offline.
Is this right or am I doing something wrong?

Just downloaded Nord-pas-de-Calais and then searched "Offline" for "boulevard saint-beuve,boulogne,france" which it found no problems!

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .

I watched the video on Firefox 4, then restarted computer to let the changes taking effect as the update stated. When the computer started again there was no changes and I can't find it in the downloads or file changes as to what edition of firefox I know have.

Do you have an orange Firefox button in the upper left, or do you have the customary menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc.)?
Either way, you can check your current Firefox version using Help > About Firefox.
To switch from having a menu bar to having the orange button, right-click in a blank area after Help and uncheck Menu Bar. Then, to display the menu bar temporarily, you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key.
Regarding the start page, there must be something just a little bit custom about the address. Otherwise, you would have been changed to '''about:home''' which is the new start page.

Can't find CD, didn't register

I have a computer with Acrobat 9 Standard installed and want to deactivate it and install it on another computer. Problem is I have many computers and never registered my Software and S/N with Adobe. Therefore I can't go to the website and look up mt S/N. I have two CD's but I'm not even sure if one of them is for this computer. Is there anyway to look at the program or in the computer bios to get my S/N so I can reinstall it on my new computer?

How can I find a list of registered (web) browsers or list of nicknames used on other computers?

When I have been in a different location (city, country, etc.) but trying to access my usual web sites that I visit, often I'm asked to supply a new "nickname" for a web browser. I cannot use what is logical to me because that "name is already in use." So . . . I have to come up with something new. I would like to find the list of nicknames so that i can delete some of them.

Such a setting is likely stored in a cookie on your computer, so you can try to clear the cookies from that service (domain).
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If this is form data that you enter in an input field then you can highlight an entry in the drop down list (e.g. click an empty input field) to remove this entry.
