Can't find Actions Panel

I am using PS6.0 and can't get to the actions panel.  I have read all about clicking Actions under 'Windows' or pressing 'F9'.  First I don't see 'Actions' under 'Windows' and F9 does nothing.  I do have some .atn files in my Photoshop Actions folder.
Need help please.

You can install actions into the effects panel in Elements 6, and elements 7 has an actions player built in, but you can only run actions on one image at a time in PSE, not on a folder, and the action has to include only steps that PSE understands. (Otherwise it may run, but the results will be very different from what you get in PS).
EDIT and you can't record actions in PSE.

  • I can't find Actions in windows panel,i am using Adobe Photostop CS 6 version

    hii...i am using Photoshop CS6 version when i tried to open actions in windows panel i can't find it.can anyone help me ?

    There's an ability to hide menus in the Edit- Menus configuration panel.
    Maybe you should try resetting your preferences to defaults...
    Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt simultaneously (or Command - Shift - Option if on a Mac) immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.
    Good luck.

  • Just downloaded newest update for PS- Can't find actions/presets

    Just downloaded newest update for PS.  Now, I cannot find my actions/presets.  It asked to migrate them when downloading and I said yes. BUT, I cannot find them anywhere? I can't even find where to load them again.  Help please!  PS. I looked at the preset manager, etc. and can't find them. I also tried to redownload, and a message said they were already in place…where I do not know. Thanks

    Hi a/p lost,
    See Jeff Tranberry's blog post on this topic: Photoshop CC to 2014: Where’s my stuff? (Settings, workspaces, presets, panels, plug-ins)
    Some is migrated, some will need to be reinstalled.

  • Can't find action menu in iCloud to add filter

    Apple support says to acess the "action pop-up menu" in the sidebar to add filtering rules. There's no visible action pop-up menu here.
    How can I add filtering rules? Where can I find the action menu?
    Thanks.

    It should be on the bottom-left corner in the Mail application on iCloud.com.  If you don't see it, make sure your browser is full screen.

  • Can't find "articles panel" in CS5.7.0.4

    Trying to follow Mike Rankin's video on using the articles panel.
    Except I can't find it, now I've upgraded to CS5 7.0.4, not under window, nowhere.
    Did this go out with the 5.5 version?
    Trying to export a content list based on links.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Ach. Well, if there is any stupidity involved, it certainly isn't yours. It's an insanely easy fact to overlook.  In fact, I spent a minute goggling at your post title "CS5.7.0.4" and wondering if I'd missed something... "there's a new 5.x dot release, already? But they just released the last one a few months ago...?" before I realized what was going on.

    I wanted to download Photoshop but I can't find the 'apps' panel. How can I find it? Please help.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Although the security of Windows XP SP3 32 bit is compromised by Microsoft no longer supporting XP, if Windows XP was restored as claimed, you should still be able to install/uninstall Premiere Elements versions of it that you did before the Microsoft support removal.
    I think a revisit to the Geeks would be in order. It may be that they could not restore Windows XP because of the Microsoft non support. I would take along the Premiere Elements installation disks so that you do not leave there without actually seeing Premiere Elements (or a non Adobe program) running on your restored Windows XP. What was the other software that you tried to use that did not work?
    Please update us on your progress when you get a chance.
    Best wishes
    Thanks.

  • Can't find action button on PSE 11

    Hi everybody
    I saw on youtube that clicking on Windows at the top of that software, I should find the "actions" button, opening the action panel.
    Still The "action" button isn't there, do you have a solution please?

    No. Scripts are designed to be run with the automator. Have you installed any third party plug-ins which may have changed the default settings?
    If not try going to:
    Edit >> Preferences >> General
    Click the button to reset prefs on next launch.
    Close Elements and open again.

  • Can't find workflow panels/actions folder in PSE 9

    Hello.
    I'm tring to install an action (APE-High-Impact.atn; MarkGaler.com) which is looking for a workflow panels/actions folder. I don't find any such. Am using PSE 9, Win 7.
    Got any suggestions please and thanks in advance,
    Jim

    Ok those are the program files, not the program data.
    Try pasting or typing this path into the search box at the bottom of the start menu and then hit the enter key.
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\9.0\Locale\en_us\Workflow Panels
    right click inside the search box and choose paste:
    then this should appear and then press the Enter button on the keyboard:
    then a folder view similar to this should open:

  • Can't find font panel!!!!

    I am in the middle of a presentation that is due on Friday. I click the letter A and no font panel appears. I was using it earlier, and it is probably hiding off the screen but I don't know how to get it back. I have re-booted, opened other Keynote files, changed display size, all to no avail. Please help if you can. Thanks.

    Try holding down the command key to the left or right of the space bar and pressing "T" to see if that brings it up.
    By "hiding off screen" have you been using multiple monitors? It's difficult to drag an object off screen since, because your mouse doesn't go there, you can't drag anything there. However, if you were in a multi screen setup, I could see how that could happen.
    Another thing you could try is checking to see if you're currently set up to span your monitor image or mirror. If it's set to span, change to mirror to see if you can find it (F7 key usually works for this as well).

  • How can I find the panel to edit brushes?

    whenever I press f5, all I get is the bottom right panel (highlighted in red). What I want, is the second image, the panel to edit brushes. I can't seem to find it. Going view -> brushes or window -> brushes does not work.
    image 2:

    RK has given you more info.  Workspace is how your panels (pallets) are arranged.  The default is Essentials, which you will find on the right side of the Options bar at the top of the screen.  There are different Workspaces for different uses of Photoshop, some of which will be selected automatically according to what you are doing.  3D and the video Timeline are two examples.
    Or you can make your own.  Arrange the panels to the way you like them, and click on Essentuals and choose 'New Workspace'and save with a name of your choice.
    When things get messed up, you can reset the current workspace to bring it back to standard.  But I fell into a daft trap when suggesting that you reset yours, because I was focused on my own Dual Screen workspace that has the brush panel open permanently.  You are probably using a single screen, so resetting would have achieved nothing.
    But the way I access brushes is to use the lower pen button on my tablet, with the pen placed just to the right of where I am working.  That is super quick and leads to a fluid workflow.  You can do the same thing with the right mouse button.

  • Can't find action mappings

    Hi. I am encountering a "...cant find actionMappings..." error in my struts app when deployed on iplanet 6.0. It works on an apache/tomcat setup which leads me to believe that my web.xml file and struts-config file is set up correctly (i've copied the web.xml file below).
    I've also included nearly every library under the sun so I don't think it has anything to do with that either.

  • Can't find Path Panel

    I'm new to Elements 10 and am trying to trace the outline of an existing image.  The tutorial I'm watching refers to the Path Panel, but it does not appear as an option under Window.  Nor do I have an "Other" option under Window.  Did I miss installing something?  Is this an add-on?  Any help is appreciated.

    Is this what you want?
    If so, it's very easy to do. Open the file, then go to Enhance>Adjust color>Remove color, which will give you a black and white image. Then go to Enhance>Adjust color>adjust hue/saturation and turn on the colorize checkbox and use the sliders to get the color you want.

  • How can I find my custom panel in CS5 using java script

    -I made an empty panel using Adobe Configurator 2 and then exported it to /Panels folder.
    -My custom panel is now in photoshop and works.
    -I added a simple code to onPanelInit():
    function onPanelInit()
        var myWindow = new Window ("dialog");
        var myMessage = myWindow.add ("statictext");
        myMessage.text = "Hello, world!";
        myWindow.show ( );
    so far so good.
    Now instead of creating a new window like I did above, I want to use the new custom panel and add a text to it.
    The problem is, how do I do that in java? Where can I find the panel that I should assign the text to?
    I know that you can add the text in Configurator, or you can edit the .xml file and add the button there, but my
    plan is to create a panel where i can add and remove buttons dynamically and that's why I have to do that in java.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Petri J

    Use Runtime.exec() to run a OS specific command which retrieves OS specific info.
    Or use JNI to access a OS specific API which returns the info you want.
