Can't find adobe flash in system

To update adobe flash player someone told me to go to apple>system preferences>adobe flash, but I can't find adobe or flash in my system preferences. What now, if I need to update (or get) adobe flash?

If the version in your system is very old, there won't be a preference pane in System Preferences in where to check for updates or fiddle with the controls.
You can check which version is installed, if any, in this link from Adobe: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Do try to get the latest version of Flash installed ASAP, cause the latest Safari (v5.1.7) is programmed to block Flash if not at the latest level, for security reasons.

You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

1 year ago I bought Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Standard. Installation files i lost. Creative Cloud contain Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Premium, and does not contain Adobe Flash Builder 4.7 Standard. WHERE CAN I FIND ADOBE FLASH BUILDER 4.7 STANDARD INSTALLATION?

Can you find adobe flash player 11.5.502.55?

I have a power pc and 10.5.8 i find a discussion about a flash player on 11.5.502.55, but i couldn't find it. Now the 10.102.64 now the flash player not working it goes 50% but never finish installation. So i'm going to a older version on google to download the flash player 90280. otherwise can you find it 11.5.502.55, all i find out was youtube and i needed a latest flash player.

At some point I'd posted some method for patching a Flash player so it would appear as 11.5.502... and thought to try & find it among previous discussions; and for some reason I could only go back 500 discussions. So I did not find that post.
Given the Flash player is essentially obsolete for the outdated OS X version(s) the patch is a way to allow some sites and some content to load in a browser that otherwise may not. However because it is not improved regularly, there is content that probably won't work even if you use the patch and run a later version.
The instructions are in a read-me richtext file in the patch folder; the Plugin update is included and you swap out the older plugin with a newer 11.5.xx included in the download file. It seems to do OK and my older Macs can use it. (Even my early Intel-based MacBook with Leopard 10.5.8 has a patch, since it hasn't a current Flash either.) See their 'read first' file to see what you need to do to get the patch to work. Save the old part in another folder so you could revert it. And test the Flash player version after the patch update. This does not use a regular installer; you re-use part of the existing Flash player

You can use the Adobe Flash Player help site to test a version, get another (vintage) version in their older version section archive; or test a version in any Mac that can go online to see what (if any) is running in it.

Given the moving-target nature of the internet web page content, browser and OS

Can't find adobe flash player after installing

I have downloaded and installed the latest version (12) of Adobe Flash Player on my Windows 7 computer. I checked the help page and it says it is installed and I see the clouds moving. However, I cannot find the program on my computer. I am trying to watch some movie video clips from a website and it keeps saying I have to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player to watch it. I have downloaded and installed it 5 times now to no avail. I have turned off my computer and turned it back on each time. I have Norton Internet Security but I told it to allow it when it installed. I really want to watch the movie clips. Where can it be and why doesn't it run? Thanks to anyone who can help me. (I am not really technical so please make it not too difficult if you can).

Try another browser. Here's why I say that.

That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess thay've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

I keep getting a message that I have to download Flash Player when I try to play anything from the internet. I do the download and the IE and FireFox still can't find Flash Player. I use Win 7. When I look at Start/All Programs flash isn't listed however when I go to Control Panel/Programs & Features I find Flash in the Uninstall or Change Program list as "Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX" . How can it be there to be deleted but not in my list of All Programs? How can I fix the problem of my Internet Explorer or FireFox not finding Flash Player? Help!!! Thanks...

I am getting a message that my Flash Player is out of date but after downloading it, I get a message that it needs to be uploaded from the app store. I go to app store but don't see it anywhere?

Adobe flash player is not on the Mac App Store. Go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and download the installer as a DMG file.
Then open the DMG file and launch the installer in order to install the plugin.
If the installer for Adobe flash is suggesting you go to the Mac App Store then I would be concerned that it isn't an official installer.

Thanks the address you gave me gave me what I needed but still had alot of trouble with the game. Come to find out it was my browser IE8 that was causing all the problem. So I changed to google chrome and loaded the regular version of Flash player and have been able to get on the game. Now i have trouble with my plugins can you send me a link to find Adobe flash player plugin 9.0.124.0?

My browser is out of date according to everything I am visiting. I can't post pictures on twitter, some of the videos I watch have blocked plug-ins, and I can't install adobe flash player. My computer is a MacBook Pro 10.6.4, and I would like to keep Safari. Can someone direct me to where I get the newest version of Safari and why I cannot install Adobe Flash Player. You can't install it, flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices - something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app).

Initially, download latest Adobe Flash PlayerAdobe location only!
Once it is downloaded, quit all browsers, and system preferences (if open) - this part is crucial.Installer will download to the Stack, next to your Trash icon in the Dock
Click once on the Stack to open it.
Click once on the Flash Installer to open the installer.
Double-click on the red Install Adobe Flash Player icon
Agree, by choosing open on the pop-up dialog

The System Preferences Flash panel has an Advanced setting. On the advanced setting tab screen is a Delete All... button. This cleans up all the Flash carcasses left on your system after browsing and/or movie events. Sometimes, this actually clears up an otherwise unexplained browser behavior. I consider this just as important as clearing browser cache.
From this point forward, you can also check for new Flash Player releases from this panel too. Once the update has downloaded, again, exit all browser sessions and make certain System Preferences is closed. If it is open during the install, the install will fail.

Can't install adobe flash player on macbook pro. Installation file automatically runs through Matlab as a default program. What to do?

I have this version installed on my MacBook Pro. 3.3.7.0 (3.3.7.0) I am using Lion OS X 10.8.4.
I have followed the instructions from the Adobe site, The installation process completes. I click "FInish"
I get taken to the Adobe website, http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/aih/?exitcode=0&type=install where I am told the installation is complete.
I restart the computere just in case, go to YOuTube and blam. You need the latest version of Flash Player error shows up again to complete my frustrating loop.
Under Applications on my Hard Drive, I have: AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_11_ltrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg
When I look at my downloads folder, I find Wccb63Gg.dmg.part
I don't know what to do. I don't seem to have the same file name as others on this site for the download. and I can't find it anywhere.
