Can't find airdropped videos on my iPad with iOS 8.1

Hi !
I just airdropped 9 avi videos from my Mac Pro (OS X 10.10) to my iPad Air 2 (iOS 8.1). AirDrop says it went well but when I go in Photos, there's nothing in my Photos section (even though I had a 4.1 Gb airdropped avi file there a few days ago).
The total size of my AirDrop transfert is approx. 3,5 Go, but Settings tell me that 'Photos and cameras' is 2,5 Gb (changed to 950 Mb when writing this message), when there only are 3 photos in my Photos app !!
I don't understand a single thing here, can someone give me a clue, please ?
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely,
Charles

Hi,
The aIrdropped videos on the iOS devices end up in the Photos App under "ALL PHOTOS" album for me. Perhaps that is where you videos are.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

  • Where can I find airdropped files on my ipad?

    Hi,
I just airdropped a video from my macbook to my iPad and now I can't find it anywhere on my iPad. Any tips?
    Thanks,
    Todd

If you have a different App that can open them you should be able to choose it from the Dialog box.
FYI:  You can not accept MP3s into the default Music App.  The only way to get music into the Music App is either to buy it from the iTunes Store or Sync it from a computer with iTunes.
If you do not have an other App that can accept the types of files being sent, you may need to download one from the App Store, you should get a prompt to that effect.
Once you have an app that can accept the file type, it will be stored within that App.

  • Can't find the Airplay button on iPad 1 ios 5.1.1

The Airplay button has disappeared on my iPad 1 (ios 5.1.1). It is on the same network as my iPhone 4 (ios 7.0.4) which does show the Airplay button. I did a complete reset (erase all content and settings) and it continues without appearing.
    iPad 1 16GB (ios 5.1.1), iTunes 11.1.3.8, WXP SP3

To use AirPlay, you will need the following:
iPhone  4s (or later), iPad 2 (or later), iPad mini, or iPod touch (5th generation)
Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation)
    AirPort Express
    Wi-Fi (802.11a/g/n) network

  • Where can I find the old Facebook application compatible with iOS 4.2.1 for my Apple 3G phone?

    Hi,
I have purchased the phone back in 2009. I have also purchaed the free Facebook app and it was working fine. 2 days ago all apps stoped working (facebook, messager,....)  I reset the phone back to default. Now I have all applications I previously purchased back with the exception of facebook. For some reason, I doesnt want to install and insists on asking for iOS 4.3! how can I get hold of the older version that was working on my phone?
    Thanks

If you had a 2G you would not be getting that as 4.2.1 is the farthest it would go and then iTunes would report it's up to date.
What capacity and how long have you had?

  • I synced my videos from ipad to itunes on my pc, but where can i find my videos i synced to my pc?  it's been deleted also on my ipad since i accept to delete it as well.

where can i find my videos i synced from ipad to pc? i can't locate where it has been saved. it's no longer found in my ipad and can't find it either on my itunes where i synced the files. this videos are not the one saved on the photos but in the videos folder itself. please help me with this.

Syncing copies content from your computer's iTunes to your iPad. If they were films and/or TV programmes that you bought from iTunes which were in the Videos app and you've copied them over to your computer's iTunes (did you do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases ? or a taking a backup should have prompted whether to copy iTunes downloads over) then they should be in the Movies and/or TV Shows part of your library.
If not then you might be able to redownload them, depending upon your country and if they are still in your country's store, via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes, and the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad

  • How can I transfer a video recording from iPad Mini to PC?

    Hello Good People,
I've got an iPad Mini running ios 7.1.2.
I've got a Windows laptop running Windows 7 with iTunes 11.3.1.2.
I recorded a video of an interview with my elderly mother which I want to transfer to my laptop for editing and saving for the family.
I'd like to use Sync but Sync scares me every time I look at it that it will start erasing things from one place or another.  Looks like the unstated assumption is "Sync" from PC to iDevice, not the direction I want to go.
So, I've done the google searching and haven't found anyone answering this issue but I've found dozens of adds from third party software I can buy to do what apple should provide for as a foundational, basic capability which leads me to think that they have purposefully not given people this capability for some reason.  The iPad Mini also doesn't appear in Windows Explorer so I can't find the videos myself.
Anyone have a blessedly simple way I'm just not seeing?  Is it safe to use Sync and not lose this precious video forever after it flashes its warning of erasing things?
    Thank you!
    Jim

Okay, I figured out that Windows has "AutoPlay" settings which can automatically download photos and videos from a newly connected device, such as an iPad Mini.  I think I could open it in Windows Explorer too that way but the auto download solved my problem.

  • I can't transfer my video to my ipad

I can't transfer my video to my ipad as well as my ipod, i have tried to convert it to ipad's file type but still can't work. Anyone know how to transfer it? Thanks!

The MP4 might be errorenously packed (the case with some cameras; say, the Race Optics T.A.C.K. http://www.raceoptics.com/tackhd.php ) or, which is far more common, it has a higher H.264 level than allowed. (4.1 is allowed for synching, while a lot of Full HD videos are 4.2 or 5.1).
The best solution in these cases is
    - repackaging the MP4 with avidemux (first case)
    - using Subler to directly edit the level (second case)
It's certainly worth spending some time to find out which category your videos belong to and, if the second (which is highly likely) learning Subler (or, if you're on Windows, some other tools). It'll save TONS of your time (no recompression needed) and, as it won't touch the video stream, it won't degrade its quality either, unlike any kind of recompression (including using the, otherwise, excellent Handbrake).
First, check out Subler as it's most probably the solution to your problem. There's a tutorial at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/watching-videos-taken-max-roundup-mkv-mp4m4v-v ideo-converters ; search for the paragraph that starts with "After this, it's worth clicking the video track in the upper list if you want to play the video back in the stock Videos app on your iDevice and not in a third-party one" - it's there that it shows how the Level can be altered.

  • Where can I find a video that tells me how to set time on photos to 1 second each?

where can I find a video that tells me how to set time on photos to 1 second each? Where can I find a video that tells me how to add black space to the sides of all photos so that they display completely instead of only showing the center (which shows peoples' crotches but cuts off their heads- great huh?)? Would like to import whole folders of photos, set each to 1 second, have each display completely without distorting to fill. and "play" the timeline as I build it so that I can see if its working before putting in 2000 pics?

Where can I find a video tutorial for 5.5?
I am a Soudbooth user in CS4. When I upgraded to the master suite 5.5 soundbooth was not in the package, but Audition was.

There's a new webinar that is coming up soon (2012-01-18) by Larry Jordan: http://www.larryjordan.biz/webinars/#0118
We have several on Adobe TV: http://tv.adobe.com/product/audition/
There's some tutorials on Lynda.com, although they're for the older versions of Audition, they should still be mostly applicable: http://www.lynda.com/Audition-training-tutorials/159-0.html

    Hi...
Tap the Photos icon in the Dock at the bottom of of the screen.
If you don't see the photos there, tap Settings > iCloud
Turn Photo Stream off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears.  Slide to power off.  After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on
