Can't find AirPlay icon in new iPad

can't find AirPlay icon in new iPad

I was experiencing the same problem.  This is the solution I figured out:
Check the wireless settings on your router.  Ensure the "Enable Wireless Isolation" is not selected.  If this is enabled, devices cannot talk to one another even if on the same network.
Hope this helps.

  • I can't find airplay icon

i can't find airplay icon on my ipad and iphone4

Airplay is not a standalone app. However, you will find it inside other apps such as iTunes in your iOS devices
You have to be connected via Wi-Fi and on the same network as the ATV

  • Please help me to find airplay icon on my ipad

I just bought the new Apple TV, how can I get the airplay icon on my ipad?

Double tap the home button and look next to the volume slider. It's only visible if you are connected to a device on the same WiFi network.

  • Can't find AirPlay icon on iPad 2!

I am trying to mirror my iPad 2 to my Macbook Pro but I can't because I can't find the AirPlay icon.

I have replied to a previous post as I had the exact same problem.

Glad to say its back now AFTER reconnecting Apple TV back to Wifi(well re entered the pass code) and AirPlay icon is back as I type!
    Hope this works for you

  • Can't find airplay icon all of the sudden

Apple TV mirroring suddenly stopped working. I have two iPod touches, one iPad and Apple TV. All the latest generations. I have been using airplay with no problem and now for some reason I can't find the airplay icon on any device. I have restarted, reset everything and unplugged the Internet connection. Apple TV can communicate with the iTunes but is not recognizing home sharing with my computer either...

    Hi Haley
Has anything changed  in your set upor have you got a new household appliance that could be interfereing with the mirror signal.
Also when you rebooted everything did that include the router and did you take all cables from ATV for 30 seconds?

  • HT204291 Can't find AirPlay icon

    AIrplay icon is missing
    IPad2 running 5.1.1
    IPhone4 running 6.0
NOt found on any App; Safari, Photos, Videos - nothing
    HElp!

NOt sure that I've got the same problem, as everything has been working fine, and I've been using airplay for almost six months notwithstanding the annoying pixelation and lag issues if someone ***** or a bird lands on the roof, but suddenly the airplay icon isn't appearing when I swipe left.
IF I'm going to watch something on iPlayer on my retina ipad and then send it to Apple TV a: the qualit is variable but I except that I've got a crap broadband provider, thanks BT, but the icon has disappeared.  I've turned the ipad off, and on, and the Apple TV off and on, unconnected it from the JD,I and from the power, but no joy.  This has only happened since the update to Apple TV a couple of days ago and my assumption is that therein lies the issue. Anyone got any thoughts?

  • HT204291 Can't find airplay icon in frequently used apps

I believe I have followed all the steps, but I don' t find the airplay icon in the frequently used apps. I have gone to videos and used airplay but it is not in my frequently used apps. What am I doing wrong?

Not all apps support airplay, especially video ones.  The app developer has to make it support airplay and some don't as they don't want you to watch other than on your device.  Apple has no control over this, it is the app developer's call.

  • I can'i find voice dictation on new ipad?

MY new Ipad does not have voice dictation icon?

Assuming that it's the new version of the iPad, then if you didn't enable it during setup then you should be able to do so via Settings > General > Keyboard > Dictation and it should show at the bottom left of the keyboard

  • Can't find Airplay Icon

I just purchased the Apple TV and hooked it up easily to my television. I do have internet access and am able to access my iTune libary. Problem is I can't not seem to stream a movie from my iPad (which is only 2 months old) or my iphone 4s. Neither device has the icon for airplay on it. I do have Airplay selected as ON with the Apple tv. Just on a side note, I am using the airport express for wireless connectivty. Everything seems to work perfectly except for the inablility to mirror movies with my TV and iPad. Any suggestions?

Are all of your iOS devices enabled for "home sharing"  there is a setting for this in iTunes too.

  • TS1398 I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and then mysteriously disappeared. When I click the music icon there is an airplay icon top right which is fine for music, but I can't mirror anything e

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?
